Service by all staff from arrival at reception to leaving was first class. A lady in the Bar called Sara Clark was exceptional and engaged with us in a really cheerful manner throughout our stay despite having to run the bar, clear tables on her own as the shift change was due. Room was good on high floor and we were able to open the large patio style window for fresh air not all hotels offer this. Walk in shower was good and powerful.

The restaurant food prices are extremely high. Excellent on food quality, service and choice but you pay for it and i think is excessive and i stay at a lot of UK hotels and eat in their restaurants but this was in my opinion too high.

Came across the Casa whilst looking for somewhere in the Peak District to stay for a couple of nights to celebrate my birthday. Usual centres, Bakewell, Castleton, Matlock, Buxton etc had little availability and what there was overpriced. Chesterfield is ideal for touring the Peak District and this hotel gave me a deal for a superior double room on the 2nd floor inc full breakfast buffet at a price I could not turn down. Good sized room, plenty of wardrobe space, Big Wi Fi TV so loads of channels and apps. Huge Hypnos bed, spotlessly clean with great plump pillows and cushions. View out of the 2nd floor window was towards the main arterial roundabout so there was occasional noise mainly the blues and twos of the occasional emergency vehicle. The tea and coffee facilities in the room were fine, bit tight on the one biscuit each but that was more than made up by the fresh milk in the fridge each day.... rare to see that today and based wholly on that alone, I would stay there again. Furnishings were comfortable and clean; the bathroom was functional perhaps a little dated, but the shower worked and the water pressure was good. The Hotel staff were excellent as stated in the other reviews, especially the reception staff and restaurant manager(s). Car parking was free, plentiful and appeared secure... no evidence of broken glass etc. In the car park and decent size spaces a few steps from reception. The breakfast buffet had a good selection... if you like a full English... you will enjoy the selection here. The hotel appears to be a great, big concrete monolith in photographs, and it was built in a design to match that time period. Guests should not be put off with the outside appearance on the photos, as it grows on you once you walk through the doors to be greeted by happy, attentive, reception staff. We did eat dinner one night in the Cocina Restaurant at the hotel and I have written a separate review on that specific meal alone.

Casa remains a lovely hotel and a favourite of mine when I return to my hometown. The rooms are very comfortable and the bed gave me my best nights sleep of all on my three weeks of travel. The Barca bar has a nice atmosphere and has a decent menu. The restaurant is a little overpriced for what it is but the breakfast was really nice. The staff are really friendly and attentive. The location is good with plenty of food options in the vicinity and the hotel is by roads that give good access to the many beautiful sights in the area surrounding Chesterfield. I look forward to my return to the hotel in the near future.

Very nice hotel, perfect for visiting Chatsworth or Bakewell. Nice decor, good restaurant, polite staff, great breakfast, TV with Netflix and YouTube means you can watch your regular shows instead of terrible hotel TV channels. Extra large beds with lots of cushions very comfortable. Mini fridge in room with refreshments a nice extra. Nothing missing re facilities in room towels per person would be good as there was only one bath towel and two hand towels for two people.

Had trouble with air con-couldn't get the room cooler, very hot in room - uncomfortable so whether that was us or the system? Also the room was next to the busy dual carriageway roundabout, traffic noise is terrible as road is extremely busy from very early morning till late night. The window does very little to keep out noise. Triple glazing on that side is a must.

Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The rooms were very comfortable with a range of room lighting options plus complementary water bottles and real milk for coffee. Nice to have a bathroom night light too.

My favourite gripe about any hotel and same here: no power sockets by the bed, not even USB! When will hotels learn that people want to charge their phones overnight, by their bed, with the alarm set and maybe use them for a while while they're connected to the mains? Not much attention at breakfast to keeping the fruit and cereal table stocked with cutlery, bowls and food.

Lovely hotel situated a 20 minute walk from the station or a 5 minute taxi ride. There are taxis outside the station and it will cost £10. There aren't any Uber drivers around. The hotel reception is luxurious. With water feature entrance and statement sculptures sorting empty spaces. The hotel has 1 bar and 1 restaurant, the ambience and decor is influenced by an arts and crafts meets barroc style. My single occupancy room had a king size bed that was extremely comfortable... I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. My room overlooked a dual carriageway, the noise level was manageable under the faint sound of the air conditioning. Overall, I would recommend this hotel because my experience was flawless.

The view, but it's only to be expected with a hotel situation just off a motorway round about.

Our stay was extremely comfortable, the room was good size , bed extremely comfortable and temperature controlled great. The room was quiet and blackout curtains worked well. Bathroom was clean and nice fluffy towels, rain shower was great and easy to control temperature. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, we were greeted by reception staff at all hours we entered the hotel, your front of house staff are a credit to the hotel. We did have a few drinks in the bar and looked at the menu for the restaurant, we found it to be a bit overpriced, so didn’t eat there but the service we received was friendly and professional. A good pub up the road with some good food and prices, Tesco, KFC , Costa across the road.

Great parking, always improtant, with pletny of cameras. Nice surroundings, friendly welcome. Very impressive entrance that did not dissappoint the further you went into the hotel. Nice touch with e fridge in the room and a the mini bottle of REAL milk... thank you for that :)

Nothin porr to say other than breakfast was a bit of a bun fight, but that was because of the number of people staying, not entirely the hotel's problem. Can't account for the unfortunate knuckel draggers that stay in hotel occassionally.

Well run and friendly hotel. Room well equipped with fridge and ironing board. Staff could not do enough and though a little way from the centre, a taxi was no more than £5.00 or you could walk in about 20 minutes. Free parking was a bonus.

Nothing really. Only comment would be that I would have liked a slightly wider choice in La Barca which served tapas. At night I felt it was enough for snacking but not for dining and we didn't feel like going into the dining room. It's a small niggle though.

The hotel, staff were excellent, very friendly. The hotel room was looking a bit tied but was clean. We had room service for breakfast and this was good.

The Cocina Restaurant was a disapointment. Starters were luke warm (but was tasty) however my husbands lamb was tough and did not taste very nice. The waitress was very polite and removed the dish and offered "any thing else" but we declined. The value of the dish was removed from our bill. We are big foodies, so this was a disapointment.
