Service was excellent and welcoming. It was kind of the chef to cook us breakfast earlier than usually due to the time we had to check out. The rooms felt homely, and the decor was beautiful. The mini fridge facility is an excellent addition and appreciated the complimentary water.

It would be good if there was someone to contact before the stay. On the day of arrival, we tried several times to call the hotel to tell them we wouldn't be able to arrive during the check-in time (3-6). (Only learnt about this check-in time a day before check-in). The phone didn't even ring. It went straight to a voicemail. Please make it aware that the check-in times won't be the same time stated on booking.com. Arriving between 3-6 became a hassle. This was the only downside to the stay.

The location of this pub/ hotel was perfect as we were attending a wedding nearby. It was easy to find and the check-in process was very straightforward. Parking is plentiful and spacious. From the beginning, all the staff we encountered were very friendly and polite. Our room was at the front of the building but we had no noise disturbance from the road. The bed was large and very comfy with nice pillows. The bathroom was also a decent size with a nice shower. Breakfast was very tasty with good-seized portions and nice tea & coffee.

Everything was very lovely but if you are not confident on a steep staircase, you might find that a bit tricky. A handrail would be useful for extra balance but this by no means affected the enjoyment of our short stay.

We stayed two nights at The Bell on a Thursday and Friday for our Wedding on the Friday, the staff went above and beyond themselves to give us a fantastic day. We wish we could have the day all over again, it was fantastic! We had a buffet for the family and the food was plentiful - unfortunately a lot of it was wasted because we thought our families would eat more. Combined with the open bar and wine on the table we had a great day and we highly recommend The Bell to all. Our room was spacious and the bed comfy, water, tea and coffee supplied. My sister and her husband stayed also and they were very pleased with their room and the brilliant breakfast The Bell supplied.

Nothing, it was perfect, Marian and Tracey were absolutely brilliant helping us set the tables etc., everything was spot on.

Lovely and large room tastefully appointed. Good food and welcoming staff. We were carrying backpacks and very tired of the extra weight. Noticing our fatigue, the breakfast manager offered to drop our bags at our next stop. It was really a lifesaver for us and such a thoughtful and unexpected kindness.

Right on a major road.

A friendly reception as soon as we walked through the door, and that approach continued all the way through our stay, even on a busy pre-Christmas Saturday evening with a full restaurant. We were very well looked after and made to feel valued. The property was warm (it was freezing outside!) and comfortable with a toasty fire inside. Our room was spacious, well decorated and comfortable. not often you get two armchairs!

The Bell is a really good place, but the staff makes it a really GREAT place! We had booked one night, and our welcome was so warm, the atmosphere so inviting, and the lunch so delicious, that we immediately requested another night! The room was very comfortable and well furnished. The location is excellent - a nice, easy walk to town. The breakfast options were absolutely delicious. The team was always friendly and engaging and made our stay so much fun. We'd go back anytime!

Very friendly staff, nice room. Would have loved to sit in the garden, but the weather didn't allow for it. Also, I was afraid that the street in front of the house would be noisy at night, but that was not the case. Try the in-house restaurant, they offer great food! Thanks again for the extra catering as I had to leave early and couldn't make the normal breakfast!

Had and evening meal and breakfast, both were great quality. Staff friendly and attentive. Room nicely decorated with high standard of cleanliness. Plenty of car parking spaces and nice garden area. Stocked fridge in room (chargeable) was a great touch, with both alcoholic and soft drinks, crisps and chocolate etc. (great for the late night munchies) 😋. Would definitely stay again.

The location was ideal for access to Yate and Chipping Sodbury while Bath and Bristol are not too far away. There is a wide choice of food on offer at breakfast with the full english breakfast an excellent choice.

The heating system was somewhat curious. The room was very cold in the evening (though it was mid to late November) as the heating was off then in the early hours of the morning, the heating kicked in and the room was too warm and we had to switch the radiators off. There was no evening meals on offer during our stay but we were warned of this beforehand and their is no shortage of eating places close by.

The team were very welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. The room was clean, tastefully decorated and well maintained. We had dinner the first evening which was very good and the breakfasts were substantial. Close to Bristol, Bath, Marlborough and other places of interest such as Avebury and other National Trust properties
