Breakfast was good and service efficient.Bar was cosy and again service was very good.Our room was spacious and the bathroom quite luxurious. Food menu looked good although we didn’t have time to try the food.

Unfortunately our room was over the bar and due to the hot evening and windows needing to be open there seem to be a lot of noise which disturbed us till late. Also this room no 1 is on the front of the hotel near the road. So I would definitely book a room at the back of the hotel if possible.

The property was very clean, the room we stayed in had a really good shower, but the food was absolutely amazing I couldn’t fault one thing about it, anyone who stays here will be pleasantly surprised, and the Guinness was also very good ( that’s important )

The only one small thing if I’m being picky was the bed creaked and the mattress wasn’t amazing but still slept well hence the 9/10

We booked for one night and had a massive bedroom at the front of the hotel. The bathroom was equally as big with a snazzy shower with overhead, body and hand held jets of water. We had a bite to eat about 3pm before heading off to a concert and the food was tasty, piping hot and served with a smile - plus there were 3 massive TVs that had horse racing and rugby on a very pleasant and busy bar. After the concert we made it back to the bar for last orders and Sam looked after us very well and the locals were great fun. Continental breakfast was included in the room rate, but a cooked option was £10 extra per person, it was an excellent breakfast sausages, bacon, egg, mushrooms, beans, black pudding and bubble and squeak, plus chunky, thick toast left us stuffed and no need for lunch.

Include a cooked breakfast in the room rate, it was a little confusing what was included and what wasn't.

The hotel is conveniently located near the centre of town. The receptionist phoned us when our arrival was delayed to check whether we would be wanting dinner. Dinner was served in the bar shortly after we had booked in. Rooms were well-equipped and the beds were comfy. Breakfast combined self-service continental breakfast with hot food to order.

There could have been better signposting between our rooms and the bar/reception area as to go between them you had to pass through what appeared, at first glance, to be a locked door.

Room was lovely and a great size, especially if taking a dog. Staff were all very friendly and helpful even though when we arrived they were clearly very stretched. Lovely village location and was only short drive from Badminton Horse trials in the morning. Great selection of breakfast, continental options are included and cover all the basics as well as having more substantial options like full English and Eggs bennie as well (had gluten free bread which was amazing!)

No onsite parking, on the booking page it did say that there is free parking but this is either on the road outside or in an open carpark about 500metres up the road which was full when we arrived. The pub was very busy when we arrived as you would expect on a Friday evening, unfortunately the kitchen closed while we were waiting to check in so we were unable to get food. All the pubs in the village close the kitchen by 9pm so we were left with the pizza and kebab shop (however the pub over the road was more than happy for you to bring food in so would highly recommend doing this). Not a negative but the booking.com listing all states that it is pay on arrival, this isn't the case and you need to pay around 5 days before in order to secure your booking. (booking.com error not the BnB's)

Central to town. Everything on doorstep. Lovely room in old quirky premises. Bed really comfy and lovely bath with great hot water. Nice and peaceful.

Parking was advised to be available on site. It was about 200 yards away and a mixed car park with long stay and short stay so even though free you had to be careful where to park. Family (who we were visiting) advised us. Breakfast is additional cost too so quite expensive

The venue / pub / breakfast / restaurant was really great value for money and had a great atmosphere! Staff were very helpful and between them and the venue made the stay superb!

The room was a little noisy with pigeons roosting next door and the bath taps had been removed - after two days walking the cotswold way I wanted a bath but should have checked with the venue first.

The Swan Hotel is clean, comfortable and in a pleasant, slightly quirky building in the middle of the delightful little town of Wotton-under-Edge,with its selection of cafes, bars and small independent shops. Thh Hotel has a characterful bar and decent quality restaurant. Perhaps the best thing about it though is the - mainly young - staff, who were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Nothing, although perhaps worth mentioning that the Hotel doesn't have its own car park. There is a free public car park 2 minutes walk away with a maximum 23 hour stay which was no problem to us but might be difficult if staying for several nights.

My favorite place to stay of all 11 places while walking The Cotswold Way. Great location. The owners were exceptionally kind and courteous. Really made me feel welcome and cared for after a long day of walking. Food was excellent in the restaurant. Room was fantastic. Highly recommend this wonderful place!

Loved everything.

A light breakfast was included in the price for the booking and was perfectly adequate. All the staff were efficient and very friendly.

Many stairs to get to our room so be aware of this if you have mobility problems! We weren’t told about this - actually not a problem for us but it could be for others.
