The room was very spacious and comfortable. It was also very quirky with the way the ensuite had been put into the room. Having the recling 2 seater settee was a bonus. They allowed my husband to store his bike at the back of the house.

The only thing we didn't like was the late check in time. It was supposed to be from 3pm but the room wasn't going to be ready till 4 which meant I had to find somewhere to go. They were really helpful in that they let my husband in before I returned which enabled him to get showered off after a long day cycling.

Excellent location and very quiet Free off road parking Very clean Lovely friendly hosts Excellent continental breakfast selected beforehand and brought to your room at an appointed time A short walk to the sea front and Hill Road’s restaurants and shops Comfortable beds Tea/ coffee making facilities Extra communal bathroom with great shower

Nothing to actively dislike but en suite was a bit dated and general decoration a bit tired - but such fantastic value and these negatives didn’t impact on our appreciation and enjoyment of this lovely place to stay

Good location for beach and pier. Good parking. Good continental breakfast served to your room with fruit, yoghurt , cereal, toast, croissant et cetera. Friendly hosts. We had a large family room with a double bed single bed and bunks came for the same price as a double room. Window overlooking rather overgrown but quiet garden at the back.

The only downside is that this establishment is in desperate need of a very large dose of TLC.

Very nice and spacious room. Off road parking. Excellent host.

Shower room and toilet in the room. Wooden addition in the centre of the room, but I could understand the reason for them in order to have a private shower room and toilet. Nice reclining sofa but leather not nice to sit on. Used towels. There was a funky odour in the room almost like pets had been in their previously.

Lovely welcome from David the owner, he told a lovely story about how the house was named after a nurse who opened an orphanage there last century, her photo is on the wall. It was like staying with family and we had a wonderful continental breakfast brought up to our room in the morning. The beds were super comfy and it was really quiet and relaxing watching TV in bed. The rooms a bit dated but super value for money

Very large family room (actually 2 rooms with shared bathroom) that was well equipped with large televisions and coffee/tea making facilities. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice and quiet overnight. The hosts made room for us to store our bicycles securely in the garden with CCTV coverage and even found a hose and brushes so we could clean them. breakfast was served in the room and there were lots of options. The porridge and croissants were amazing.

This is a great b&b very close to the seafront. Yes it’s dated but our room was spotlessly clean, lovely comfy bed and very roomy. We were checked in by the owner David who was really friendly and welcoming. Lovely continental breakfast delivered to the room. Would definitely stay here again.

I liked breakfast delivered to my room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a lovely old house but it does need a bit of TLC and updating.

The shed in the bedroom that formed the bathroom was a bit peculiar. It was all clean and did its job and I know that they have done it like this to preserve the lovely coving in the room. Lovely big room though and comfy bed.

The bed was very comfortable, room was clean and decent size.

Not having a proper window in the room. The only windows were in the bathroom, which meant the bedroom was quite dark unless the bathroom door was left open. I appreciate that fitting en-suites into old buildings is not easy.

What shines in this B&B is the service, the staff go 100% above and beyond in friendliness and actions performed. Breakfast is provided to your room which is a lovely touch. the location in the centre of Cavell, a stones throw away from the sea is great.

The rooms do show their age a little, this can have its charms but it is noticable
