Staff were very welcoming and soon corrected that we had been allocated the incorrect room. Housekeeping were excellent and all areas were immaculate. View was amazing.

Location and views were good, marina just a short walk away past the life boat station, car park can get full quickly as the hotel is open to non residents for food and drink. We were told the hotel had only been open for 6 weeks so all the decoration , furniture ,bar area, beer garden decking and fencing were all really new and fresh looking.

All purchases have to be by card, they do not accept cash !! When we booked our stay we had breakfast included in the price ( B & B ) when we had our breakfasts on the two mornings we were there we told the waiter / waitress that breakfast was inclusive to our booking and thought no more of it, when we got home we noticed there was a pending payment of £6.70 on the account which could only be for a breakfast order as we everything else we payed for was accounted for, I messaged the hotel through booking.com but as yet , 2 days later I have had no response !!

Great location and a lovely hotel. We had a good sized room with an excellent bathroom. The shower cubicle was a generous size and the shower easy to operate (not always a given in hotel rooms). There were two easy chairs which was a bonus as many double rooms just have one. Plenty of lighting options and a good selection of tea and coffee. Tasteful decor and really peaceful. Breakfast was well laid out and offered plenty of choice. Cooked breakfast was great.

The bedroom window did not open. The duty manager was aware but not able to get it fixed during our stay but we were only there one night.

Arrived to check in, in the middle of a busy Sunday lunch service, but was given the warmest of welcomes. We had already booked a table for our evening meal online, but again checked with us if we were eating that evening so to make sure we had a table. Amazing atmosphere in the restaurant and even managed to finish our meal with a delicious pudding. Waiting staff were very knowledgeable on the menu and had recommended an amazing special that we both enjoyed. Great end of our evening sat outside on the beautiful finished terrace. Breakfast the following morning was exceptional.

Location, room and staff were excellent. Very clean and tidy room with very helpful staff. The location majestic. The pub had good variety of food with good quality food and good prices. Definitely we will visit again.

I must say though the breakfast probably was the only that let us down. Continental breakfast which was included it was definitely lacking variety and quality and any other paid option from menu breakfast it was more than overpriced. Fortunately there are lovely options in the near marina.

It’s set in a beautiful area! The staff was excellent and very accommodating. Very cozy, the room I was in was nice and big. If you like to walk and explore there are lovely trails and an easy nature walk.

Everything was great! I didn’t have a car so I Ubered from Bristol airport. It did take a bit of time to get an uber though for anyone who is traveling without a car.

We have known the Royal for many years which is in a fabulous location in Portishead. The refurbishment is brilliant. It now has a lovely atmosphere. Cozy homely quiet and calm. The staff were amazing. Always smiling and helpful despite working long hours. Special mention to Gabriella, Caitlin and the lady who served our family Saturday night going out of her way to accommodate our requests. Sorry I forgot to get your name.

- location (the marina is so cute) - bedrooms are spotless- can tell it’s recently been refurbed to a high standard - staff are so lovely and welcoming. Refreshing

- keycards not yet made for rooms, having to grab staff to access each time - Room 10 a little hot- can’t open window fully - little bit of a wait for breakfast, but lovely once arrived

Beautiful clean modern bedrooms, sea views, everything you needed. Breakfast, lots of choice. Continental and a menu with lots of cooked to order. We also ate their on both evenings. Again plenty of choice. Staff , very welcoming and friendly. Short walk down steps to the Marina. Will definitely return.
