Reception staff very helpful. Lovely large clean room. The hotel and decoration was excellent. Good quality breakfast, everything required was available.

Restaurant and bar was good but could do better. Dinner we had the fillet steak ordered medium rare, but when arrived was well done, disappointing. After dinner Port was served in a brandy glass and incorrect measure given. The table server did not know what port was. The manager quickly sorted it out. At the bar I ordered a straight brandy but this was served in a tall tumbler and offered ICE!! and coke!! Yuck! Obviously the bar staff do not know how to serve Cognac.

As always from the moment you arrive the staff are absolutely lovely, friendly welcoming and full of information! From the reception ladies, to the bar staff, nothing is ever too much trouble and you instantly feel at ease and relaxed. The food is outstanding, we particularly enjoy the pizzas and have never had a bad meal from dinner to breakfast in the 5 times we have stayed. The consistency of high standards is why we keep returning for an evening away from the kids! We've stayed in a few different rooms but even the standard rooms are just lovely.

The only negative I could even think is the car park gets quite full so could maybe do with a larger area for parking, but we've always got a spot on arrival!

What a stunning property!! Every fine detail was high quality & this showed throughout from the public areas to the design of the rooms. The front desk staff were so kind & friendly even when I arrived to check in just before 11pm due to road delays while travelling to the hotel. Even the cleaning staff all said good morning when I was heading out in the morning which was so nice to hear. I look forward to working in the area again next year so I can make sure I book my stay at this lovely hotel again. Thank you to everyone for making my stay so lovely!

The fact I only stayed for one night!

Breakfasts were very good with.an excellent choice of fruit, cereal etc plus cooked food. I enjoyed dinner on Friday night with a good choice on the menu. Food was delicious, well presented by friendly, efficient staff..

The one area I felt could have been much better was the addition of a good mirror and adequate lighting. I think most women would agree a good mirror with good lighting with a comfortable seat for applying make up would be a good addition to rooms. That said I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this comfortable hotel with extremely helpful staff in beautiful surrounds.

Very good location. The hotel is very well kept. The room was comfortable and great service overall.

We were left slightly disappointed with the restaurant. One, we had booked a table well in advance and were seated next to the kitchen so asked to be moved, which they accommodated. Then there were a couple of issues with the cooking: duck overcooked and the sweet potatoes rolled in puff pastry undercooked (pastry was raw). We notified the waitress and they offered complimentary sides. The service was good and the rest of the dishes cooked well. The bar is absolutely stunning and staffs very attentive.

This is a good hotel for the price. We stayed as we had a wedding in the area, and it served as a great base. The staff are fantastic - helpful, quick service. Everybody was friendly and proactive, from housekeeping to restaurant staff and front of house. Basic rooms but with comfy beds.

It was very warm inside and at times a little dark. We felt we needed to open windows for fresh air. The velvet decor and dark painted walls are not to my personal taste, although I'm sure there are many who will appreciate it. The pool and spa area is in need of renovation - I believe these are already planned for future.

Good overall impression, everything clean and nicely finished, room very big and bathroom very nice and very clean. The lady at check in was very friendly and helpful.

Gym needs some upgrades, lots of broken machines. Dinner service wasnt great in the antler bar, staff couldn't find something on the menu on their tablet and didn't really try to allow us to order it in any way.. so had to pick something else, food was ok though the mushroom and potato pie was 90% just potatoes, then they never came back to offer us more drinks or desserts etc. breakfast options were ok but food was quite cold.

Beautiful property and very comfortable stay, the reception staff, Joanne in particular was lovely and so helpful. The views from this place were stunning. Me and my partner stayed here for my birthday and went to the Prego restaurant for food and it was amazing.

There was only a couple of issues with our stay, the bathroom wasn’t very clean which wasn’t a huge issue but for the money my partner paid to stay it was a little disappointing. The bathroom sink was broken, the tap leaked and the water took ages to go down the plug. Apart from that it was lovely.

Dinner menu was clearly marked with allergens, staff were very on the ball about gluten free dishes. Menu was good, lot of GF options.

Breakfast buffet was a stark contrast - no allergen labelling, and a chef who appeared to have no clue, telling me among other dubious claims, that normal fried bread is gluten free. I ended up having to involve a manager, who was very good. I would hope that situation would not repeat, and staff training will improve.
