Excellent location in the middle of sheep farms in rural Northumberland. Very quiet and serene. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful. Around the property, you can hike around the nearby villages and farms. There are several walking trails and public footpaths that you can take to access little rivers and forests. Rooms are decent sized, with a comfortable bed. we slept like logs. Good range of toiletries provided and hot water throughout the day. Breakfast was excellent - mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon, sausages, eggs (your style) and amazing fried bread.

Nothing comes to mind.

Elizabeth was very welcoming and because we were coming for a wedding at nearby Healey Barn she kindly offered us a much earlier check in. This was perfect and very helpful. The location is a bit off the beaten track but not far from Corbridge or Hexham and beautiful countryside and the farm is in a rural very scenic setting. Breakfast was excellent, full English but loved the fruit with yogurt as well and the delicious homemade brown bread. Also good parking. Attractive clean room and en suite with walk in shower and large comfortable bed.

Nothing to dislike....All good and would recommend.

The Breakfast was very good - with an excellent choice :- Toast , range of cereals, cooked- English breakfast style, porridge, Coffee, Tea and Juice. Elizabeth was very approachable and friendly and answered any queries immediately.

Some of my friends commented upon the breakfast being too early ( was 8 -9 a.m. and leave by 10 a.m. ). Perhaps breakfast could be 8 -10 a.m. and leave by 10.30a,m. ? We all went to a wedding, a long day, 12,30 p.m. and back to farm to get our heads down at 23.30 p.m. So basically we just slept there and got up for breakfast if able to.

I could not have asked for more! This farm is about 400 years old and it is lovely. Went for a short walk before breakfast only to have an incredibly picturesque moment of a momma sheep and her lamb lying by the fence which overlooked a valley; beautiful flowers to include lilacs, poppies, and Roses; and a lovely yellow Labrador which provided the warmest of welcomes! Elizabeth provided a delicious full English breakfast that included freshly-baked homemade bread. The room was immaculate with wonderful fluffy towels. The house was decorated with both antiques and modern decor to include some awesome sewing machines that were about 100 years old. My room was located on the second floor. There is no elevator, but Elizabeth was right there to offer a helping hand. She is a fantastic hostess and her farm is an absolute gem! It is on the outskirts of town, so someone without access to a car needs to plan accordingly.

Excellent stay with my family at Rye Hill Farm for my nephews wedding which was at nearby Healey Barn. Lovely 3 bed cottage in beautiful Northumberland. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. Elizabeth is such a lovely friendly host. The farm is well situated being only 15 minutes into Hexham which has many shops and a beautiful Abbey. Newcastle is only 30 minutes away so we managed to squeeze in a trip to the Metro Centre. The only downside is that we only stayed for 3 nights I could have stayed much longer!!! Would definitely go back.

It was spotlessly clean, really warm and cosy in a rural location. The host had made cake ready for us, a good supply of teas and coffees. Larger than normal rooms, each with en suite. Very quiet area.

The Sat Nav takes you to a neighbours farm 🙄. It was a bit difficult to find in the dark, unless the moon shines it's pitch black. Fine once you've found it.

Location excellent. Food excellent. Room as good as could be expected. You won’t be disappointed if you like peace and quiet.

Our room had a shower over the bath and perhaps just a shower cubicle would be better for today’s travelers, especially given we are both pensioners and not too agile to climb into the tub! If I was to be very critical, the kettle in the room had a poorly fitting lid so the steam went over your hand when pouring the water into the mugs. But this is wear and tear from repeated use so not a criticism.

Breakfast was excellent, choice of cereals and flexible English breakfast well cooked and presented. Accommodation is on a working farm with access to gardens and grounds and also has a skittle alley! It is in an elevated position overlooking Hexham a few miles away. It is a good base for visiting For bridge, Hexham, Hadrian's Wall, and two nearby pubs do evening meals. The Rose and Crown in Slaley is a Community Pub so it would be worth checking opening times in advance. If traffic allows, take your time on the roads and enjoy the wonderful panoramic views that keep appearing!

We were in need for a one night accommodation before a rally which started in Slaley Hall and they did not have any rooms available a night before. This farm stay is a very good option for Slaley Hall, just around the corner.

All the services were in line with the expected quality from a farm stay bed and breakfast. Nothing to report here.

A working farm, but very peaceful and tranquil. On arrival I was greated by the owner who showed me to my room, it was clean and tidy and had a homely feel to it. The bed was large and comfortable with a thick soft duvet and a choice of firm and soft pillows. The bathroom was very clean and fresh, an added bonus was a large deep bath (just what you need after a day on the bike). After a good night's sleep, breakfast was a full cooked, with fresh home made bread (definitely worth trying the homemade wholemeal). Although the place itself is very isolated and quiet, the phone signal on O2 was adequate and the free WiFi was strong. I ride a motorcycle, the parking area was solid, reasonably flat and far enough away from the road to keep the bike out of sight and secure. Good value for money and well worth a visit.

There was nothing not to like.
