Very nice family room - lounge and bedroom

Parking was a nightmare. The hotel has 8 spaces in their car park. First come, first served basis. I appreciate, as they are right on the beach front, the space for car parking is limited. They gave me a list of off street parking and car parks nearby. I was there 3 nights, not once was I able to get into their car park. When I came back to the hotel on Saturday evening, all the car parks were full, and the nearest off street parking was about 20 minutes walk away. As I have a heart condition and can't walk up hills or long distances, I got a taxi from where the car was parked back to the hotel, a very long wait on a Saturday night. Not sure what the hotel can do about this, but sadly I won't be able to go there again.

Fabulous location with a wonderful unspoilt view of Cromer beach. Good car park, arrived around 12.30pm & got a space, no problem. Lovely full English breakfast, very generous portions & nice touches with pastries, jams & bottles of fruit juice. Nice beer garden, lovely spacious room & bathroom with a fridge outside the room if you need it. A really nice place to stay, I would definitely recommend.

Our room faced onto a side street, there was no air con & as we were lucky to have a warm day/night we had to have the windows open, it was quite noisy at times. This would not put me off staying again or recommending the hotel to anyone.

On arrival at room No.6 you entered the room to a blank wall and had to turn right to bedroom and left to lounge and bathroom. As there were no warning signs about steps, I fell heaverly onto my right knee and could not move for a while. My husband went to reception to get some ice and told the young lady what had happened. She did not seem concerned. I completed an accident form on our departure on Monday and was told that the manager would contact me. This has not happened to date. Although thankfully my leg was'nt broken, it is very badly bruised. These steps should be pointed out with warning signs and hazard tape.

Outstanding breakfast. Fresh milk in a communal fridge outside the rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Our "superior" room turned out to be a suite with a fabulous view of the beach, pier and sea from the living room. The Red Lion is brilliantly located right in the centre of things but just a couple of minutes' walk from the cliff walk which takes you out of town

To get from our bedroom to the bathroom and living room we had to negotiate a hallway with a substantial step up and then down. There was no safety warning. We kept the hall light on all night. The furnishings were a little old and tired.

Everything! Huge room, comfy, sofa and armchair, 2 tvs, loads of top quality coffees and tea in room and they had a fridge with fresh milk for drinks which is a massive pro for me as I don't like uht! Great nights sleep, great cooked breakfast and excellent location 👌

Nothing I didn't like but a heads up, there's a hamper in room which you pay for if you use it, I very nearly cracked open the wine before I realised it wasn't free. But then I am awfully common 😁

I loved our rooms and breakfast and the staff were really friendly and helpful and the location was perfect as it was in the town and on the seafront.

I didn't like all the dogs in the dining room which put me off having our evening meals or lunches in your restaurant so we went else where for lunch and dinner as I have a really bad dog phobia and it took me alot of courage just to come down for breakfast in the mornings. That is my only complaint the fact you are very bias towards dogs and I think it would have been better if you'd had a separate eating area for people with dogs. I also don't think it's very hygienic having dogs near food in the restaurant as well otherwise apart from that our stay was very good.

Have to say from the outside it's not the prettiest building in the world!! First impression was that after years of booking with Booking.com I had finally come unstuck. But you should never judge a book by it's cover!!!! Turned out to be a little gem. Great location, very convenient for the Pavillion Theatre.. Faultless service.. immaculate room with everything you could possibly need. Superb breakfast - one of the best I've ever had. A treat to have it freshly cooked rather than a buffet

Would have been a 10 out 10 but if you're going to review I think you have to give any negatives alongside the positives. The hotel only has max 10 parking spaces. So it's a lottery if you get a space or not. We were very lucky, so our overall experience was fab.

Good location, pleasant and professional staff and food well presented and of reasonable quality. Although limited umbers, on a First come basis, it was nice to access free parking. Nice dog friendly hotel. Dog treats and water bowls around the hotel was a nice touch.

Did not like the gift box in the room with an honesty box for payment. The sea view room that we paid extra for (room 8) had a view providing you sat at an angle with the neighbouring building covering the other half. I felt it was slightly over priced and I still cannot work out the reasoning for the high price other than the location. I felt that the extra charge of £20 per night for my two small dogs was a little excessive as I had already paid enough to stay there.

The breakfast was excellent, as was the location for what we wanted. Parking was good and I could understand the use of the key pad but as it was on the wall away from the drivers side of the car it was tricky to get the timing of the barrier correctly. A fridge in the room would have been a good addition,but not essential. The tea tray in the room was excellent as were the general facilities.

The shower curtain was light weight and left water on the floor. This was mentioned to staff at the hotel.

Excellent location, food and price! The breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing. I had crab and my partner had a chicken pasta dish. Everything about this B&B is of a very high standard. The finishing little touches are amazing. Loved how it's dog friendly too!

I have no criticisms! The only minor thing is the shower wasn't very powerful so couldn't wash my hair and there were no plug sockets next to the dressing table. Just minor things that I could easily manage with.
