Ronica was very friendly and her lovely two dogs and cats welcomed me on arrival. The house was lovely in a quiet area plus my room called the poppy room was very nice, the bed was very comfortable and a lovely hot shower was a plus …tea coffee plus biscuits lovely extra lots of books to read plus a choice of DVDs you can watch in your rooms 😊 Breakfast was lovely and good choice plus local butcher sausages. Was lovely to see animal friendly guest house with chickens Guinea pigs and lots of birds to watch while you have breakfast. I will definitely be visiting again.

We recently spent five days holiday at Thornybank. We absolutely loved it, Ronnie and her army of (animal) friends run such a warm and welcoming guest house. The private and secluded location is within walking distance of Cromer. Ronnie keeps the house spotlessly clean and is an engaging host. Our room was exceptional with a balcony overlooking stunning woodlands and a full glass. floor to ceiling window by the side of a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath and power shower. Breakfast was a feast with everything you could think of. We really loved this most unusual place. Karen and Steve x

Room was really spacious and well equipped with everything that you would normally expect to be available, bathroom was large and again had everything that you'd expect. A nice but unfortunately unused aspect was the nice balcony with views into the garden. Breakfast was excellent!

A couple of minor details which I'm sure would have been rectified had we have mentioned anything to Ronica. The plate on which the plant in the bathroom was resting could use a clean. Having some shower gels available would have been nice, as well as the use of a hairdryer (although I think I spotted one just outside the room), within the room.

The location was good. A 1 minute drive into Cromer or could walk down a very picturesque country lane... The setting of the property is very pretty and surrounded by countryside. The breakfasts are amazing with so much choice. Buffet table then an offer of cooked breakfasts with top quality food. Room clean & comfy bed with good bedding. Towels good and bathroom a good size. All in all a good stay. Gardens lovely front and back and parking off road. Host very helpful in suggesting where to visit if area not known...

Will have a think..... !

Great location, within walking distance to the nearest NT property. Plentiful and varied breakfast with a large menagerie of animals and birds to keep you entertained. Nautical themed family room was very spacious and had a balcony overlooking the terraced garden.

You need to be aware the owner has two dogs, whilst they were lovely, placid and friendly, if you are not keen on dogs they might come as a bit of a shock.

Very clean, ideally situated for our needs. We had booked the family room which was very spacious, and serviced even though we weren’t expecting it to be. Our host was very welcoming, we appreciated the homely feel by being able to come and go as we pleased. The breakfast selection was vast, although we didn’t eat the cereal, there was so much choice, catering for every taste. Fresh fruit salad and cooked breakfasts were also available and delicious.

A beautiful home from home. Ronica our host opens up her lovely home to visitors and gosh does she spoil you at breakfast. Fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, too many cereals to list and a freshly cooked option of whatever you would like. Excellent quality produce. The scrambled eggs are to die for. We had the balcony room which was huge and overlooking the garden/woods with the plentiful wildlife. Great bathroom with shower and jacuzzi bath. The cuddliest Rottweiler dogs, cats, chickens, Guinea pigs also live there. Located on a country lane only 2 minutes drive into Cromer, perfect for the areas we intended to visit. Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely return if visiting the area again.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike if you love animals and a very chatty friendly host.

Room was medium/small but nicely furnished, very clean and had all amenities. Colour TV, tea and coffee and a very comfortable bed. Outlook onto garden with ample car parking. Breakfast was huge and lots of choice, a lovely place to stay. Loved the company for breakfast (Sir Elton the cat and two lovely, gentle old Rottweilers) Ronica was a great host and enjoyed our chats, wished we had time to stay longer, definitely would go nowhere else when in the area again. Loved our stay there.

There was nothing to complain about. Could not have been made to feel more welcome, came and went as we pleased.

Room extremely spacious and bed very comfortable. Loads of lovely touches to make the stay enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, cooked fresh to order. Our room had a balcony over looking the garden, perfect for enjoying a drink and watching the wildlife. Would not hesitate to stay again. Lovely hostess & beautiful, friendly dogs too.

The only tiny issue we had was nothing to do with the accommodation itself. It's a lovely walk to the seafront, but there's no footpath or lights near the property for a couple of hundred yards. Not so bad in daylight, but a bit precarious walking back in the dark. Taxis are not expensive, but you need to book in advance.

We were made very welcome by the owner, her two very friendly, soppy dogs (Agnes and Daphne) and her cat, Lily. We had the family room even though it was just the two of us. Loads of space. The breakfasts were excellent - I counted 25 cereal options! Plus, fruit, yoghurt, toast and the owner would do a cooked breakfast as well if you wanted.Beautiful garden with lots of wildlife - some of whom were regular visitors and had names!

Don't rely on your satnav! Ours took us down a VERY narrow lane - much better to follow signs for Amazona Zoo after Cromer railway station and Thornybank is just along on the right.
