Staff were fantastic apart from breakfast staff. There was a little confusion with our rooms on arrival which was sorted straight away. Our rooms were spacious and clean.
Breakfast. No clean tables although only 2 were taken. The waiter cleared them but didn't wipe any. I cleared one myself. No eggs at all on the buffet. Had to ask for beans, juice and cutlery as these had ran out and not refilled. It was 9am so still another hour to go. Alot of people came in after us and there was no bread. The food areas aswell as tables were not kept clean. The Breakfast waiter needs an intense training course or the sack.

The location was fabulous, we travelled to go to a show at the Darlington Hippodrome, the hotel was a 5 minute walk from the venue! We had food at the hotel the night we arrived this very tasty and good value for money! There was breakfast included in our deal, the breakfast was beautiful! We also got a parking space which again was good value for money £5 which covered us for 24 hours!
There was a a couple of tiles missing from the edge of the shower cubicle but other than that everything else was good!

Decor, room size, facilities in and around hotel. Reception team was very welcoming and helpful.
Car park was £20 for overnight parking. Within 3 minutes walk there were several safe car parks for 1/3 of the price. Cleaning in rooms was generally good but the usual places were missed e.g. visible parts of radiators, tops of shelves, etc. Shower room was lovely however, because of the size of the glass screen, it was impossible to use the shower without practically semi-flooding the shower room.

the location was spot on. breakfast was great second room was lovely
our first room was very noisy at 4:45am with sounds coming from the plant room above but we were very kindly moved to a privilege room the day after. Both rooms do need a little attention to detail ie paint splatter over the wallpaper, grout and silicone in the bathrooms need attention, the toilet roll holder in the privilege room coming off the wall, also a cracked mug and the windows were quite dirty.

Room was comfortable and quiet, tea, coffee etc available, plenty of towels...lift to my floor. The staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful.
Disappointed in both breakfasts - Buffet Breakfast did not serve pancakes although showed as available online and coffee was really, really strong and tepid on reaching my room. Only 2 small pats of butter supplied for toast....just a scraping really. Cooked Breakfast included 1 mushroom not cooked through, half a tomato grilled pus 3 veggie sausages and toast only grilled on one side !! Not impressed with this and left feeling quite hungry. Coffee as above...could not drink it.

The location was excellent! It was on the next road over from the main town center square. A very quiet spot, the rooms were a good size & we even had a bath with over head shower in our room. For our personal preference the mattress did feel a little firm but that’s our own opinion. The staff were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble extra tea coffee etc. Stacey our receptionist told us all the history of the building with passion she was amazing! Kyle on the bar, on both Thursday & Friday nights was so chatty & friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
We felt the mattress was slightly firm but that’s our personal preference

Location and comfort. 5 mins away from coach pick up point and close to shops aswell. Room was clean and comfortable.
The price of the drinks - paid £6 for a pint of coke and half lemonade and blackcurrant. I think that's abit dear. Also they charge £15 for an adult breakfast and half price for a child so we didn't bother. The lift to the 3rd floor wasn't working on our 2nd stay over the weekend which was annoying as i had a few bags to carry. The clock in Darlington sounded at 6am - obviously I know that isn't the hotels fault.

It’s location very central to my requirements. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very clean, quiet and comfortable. We had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious and hot.very good choice of English and continental also very good gluten free options.
Lift out of order when we arrived but receptionist could not apologise enough and stressed they would be fixed ASAP, which they were the next day when we were sat at breakfast . We were given a room on the 3rd floor, but our bags were taken up to our room for us. This issue would not reflect on the hotel at all as these things happen occasionally.

A very good dinner, the staff were most helpful. Breakfast was equally well presented and enjoyed The bedroom was fine , a comfortable night's sleep, I last stayed in the hotel "last century" and was impressed by the facilities . A pleasant walk to and from the station, Will hopefully stay with you again shortly.
Totally satisfied with my visit. No complaints. Thank you for making my visit so pleasant, As a former resident of Darlington it was good to be back and to recall many happy memories spent in the area

Friendly customer service willing to go the extra mile to help guests.
I should have informed the hotel I had mobility issues as parking my car was difficult to do as there were several vans parked taking up extra spaces making less spaces for others. I need a little extra room to get out the drivers side due a recent knee operation. I was informed that there was extra spacing at the Cornmill Centre and outside the hotel in a nearby loading bay.As I was dropping people off after a night out the Cornmill wouldn't have been an option, taxis also frequented the loading bays however, apart from this minor issue my stay was excellent.
