Comfy bed, nice view and adorable greeting in the room with personal message and selection of sweet :) so nice! Tee and coffee making possibility in the room, benefitial water. Nice surroundings.

Breakfast was good, although fresh vegetables were missing (the choice was limited to paprika, cucambers and carrots and they were not freshly cut) and the offer was exacly the same every day. No cakes of fish. Very basic black tee selection. My room key stopped working several times during my stay causing some dissapointing delays and running up and down to the lobby.

Friendly receptionist on arrival. Pleasant environment around entrance, bar and dining area. Clean and tidy. Good location for walking in to the city. Good quality breakfast. Pleasant bedroom and bathroom (although slightly dated). Very good shower in my bathroom. Nearby parking good if you’ve travelled by car.

The hotel is near to some very busy roads including the A601. My bedroom backed on to this busy road so there was quite a bit of traffic noise from 5.30am. If I stayed again I would ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. The hot drinks machine at breakfast was fine if you wanted coffee but more complicated to use if you wanted hot water for tea. I had to ask someone as there were no obvious instructions. The bedroom was a bit dated. The hotel is some distance away from the train station.

The room was clean . The bed was very comfortable and there was a nice big tv . Plenty of tea and coffee for me to make drinks . Plenty of hot water for a bath and shower pressure was good. There was an option for room service if I had needed it . I liked the email they sent giving me the option to check out online so I only had to put the keys in a box when I left

The road was noisy from traffic outside which I could hear but soon got used to . I set the room temperature to 20 degrees but I could still feel a draft . There could be instructions on how to use the air conditioning as it wasn't straight forward

The hotel comes across very smart and nice . Much needed emergency room for the night and felt amazing walking in with a nice view . Good size TV - bath and shower. The guy at reception was really friendly . The coffee was brilliant and good seating outside with many tables to relax at rather than being stuck inside . There was a spare fan in the cupboard which was really nice

The car park is beneath the hotel . Maybe a lift going directly into the hotel or an easy way to get to the entrance . There's a sign outside the car park directing go right but it's blocked off so you have to walk all the way around the street . The plugs are across opposite the bed . Most people go on their phones late at night before bed . Morning alarm . Was close to getting the extension lead from the car .

The room was very clean and the staff very helpful,especially your breakfast supervisor. I believe her name was Lutena or something very similar. I would like to give a special mention about her as she needs to be highly commended for her very helpful and friendly attitude. Not only did she assist us with using the beverage machines and checking to see if we everything we needed for an enjoyable breakfast, she was so polite and friendly and a pleasure to talk to.

Although my husband had no problem, I found the pillows a bit hard and uncomfortable so had a bit of neck ache and an interrupted sleep. Not the hotel’s fault but was woken up around 8.30 am by some very inconsiderate guests banging doors and shouting down the corridor for about 10 - 15 minutes.

The parking to drop off your luggage. Was told we could park out the front to drop off the luggage and then find the car park. Not really so. Reception told me the lay-by outside, not too close, is for this. Unfortunately it has double yellow lines so we couldn’t both get out. we had a huge amount of luggage as we all had suit bags for a wedding and were flying very early next morning. There were 4 lots of luggage as my daughter and son in law were travelling up much later. Had to park in the car park and make several journeys.

The room was very spacious and comfortable with a good view. Nice coffee machine. Everything was clean and well presented. Room was quiet and the climate control worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar was nice too.

We couldn't connect any of our devices to the TV in our room. I usually carry and HDMI cable spare but couldn't seem to plug it in. I suspect the TV would need to be on the hotel wifi for devices to connect. It's not a deal breaker but it would have been nice to have. The TV itself looked quite new.

One word: Style..Stayed a fee times when it was called the jurys inn down the years and love it with every stay and that continued on Thursday.. Love the check in and check out online ... The hotel has a style of it's own and that goes with the staff aswell...Very professional and thank you for a lovely one night stay over.. As Arnie said: I'll be back...5☆

Even thou it has a name change it's still got a style of it's own.. Love the checkin and checkout online, beautiful breakfast, very comfortable rooms and amazing staff..5☆

check in staff at night was excellent, nice pleasant chap. Made us feel welcome and was very polite and well mannered. only let down was when checking out, it was not as pleasant. Young lady at desk, no smile or manners. not even a greeting when I was walking towards her. Too busy fixing her horrible long nails and eye lashes. Very grumpy and moody, when I asked about payment for car park, she got payment ready and very rudely gestured to me that the card machine was ready for me to tap my card. Horrible

I stayed at Jurys Inn Derby about 4 years ago, the last time I was in England. It had the same high standards as before in terms of comfort, cleanliness, friendly staff, location, good breakfast etc. I really enjoyed my stay.

The only thing I did not like was that the facade had changed to a whitish grey brutalism style. It was so different to the previous facade which fit in so well with the lovely old buildings of Derby. It is a lovely town and it would be good if the building reflected the town's unique industrial heritage.
