Warm welcome with clear fire safety instructions etc. The bottles of water and fresh milk in the fridge were very welcome. We all agreed the beds were soooooooo comfy! The rooms were all slightly different and all were quirky and comfy. The complimentary shower gel etc were high quality. A great range of choices for breakfast. We also were able to adjust our evening meal time a little as we were enjoying having a catch up drink ( or 2!) in the bar… we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal. My fish pie was gorgeous and creamy and just the right size. Celiac needs were met too.

They are quite warms rooms, one in particular was very warm and needed the windows opened overnight. I am guessing this costs quite a bit in fuel…?? Maybe you could drop the thermostat a little?

Upon arrival staff were attentive, not only showing me to my room, but also explaining the fire muster point and fire exit locations. The room was very clean and tidy with fresh milk in the fridge, as well as a modern bathroom stocked with Molton Brown soap and shower gels. The evening meal was exceptional and good value, as well as a nice choice for breakfast, along with Tiptree jams.

There was no shaver power point in the modern bathroom. I would also recommend a vertical handrail between the bath and the door to help some people get out of the bath/shower as it is quite deep, but these are very minor points on what was a very enjoyable stay.

The property was clean and quirky. The pub was welcoming, clean and had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were great and very accommodating. The room itself was spacious, modern, well thought out and very clean. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. The bathroom was large and had lovely toiletries. The outside area was small but it was nice to be able to sit on the patio with our dog. There was plenty of parking and a private entrance for residents.

There wasn’t much we didn’t like about the property. The only thing we didn’t like was the location of room, it was directly off the bar area and, as the staff were serving dinner in the evening and breakfast in the morning, it did slightly disturb us and the dog but it wasn’t a huge hinderance.

We stayed in 2 rooms (our fault as we added a night & first room wasn’t available). First room was spacious with a super bathroom with bath. Good menu and food Quiet location. Staff very helpful & efficient. The cleaners were very helpful too. Molton Brown toiletries.

Low ceilings…. Two on stairs, ? Could they have had padding on them. In our second room lots of beams made it feel a little cramped but this was accentuated in comparison to first room.

Food was fantastic, beautifully presented breakfasts with tasty high quality produce, a great start to the day. Room was beautifully clean, with white crisp duvet covers and pillows, and a really comfortable bed. Nice Molton Brown courtesy items and water in fridge. Staff were very attentive, and went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure we had a great stay.

Our room was room 10, it was lovely but was a loft style room so wouldn't be suitable for anyone who is particularly tall. That said, it was fine for us and it was super comfy.

There's nothing not to like about The Cow. This is our second visit, the first being 6 years ago when my partner and I first dated. We now have a 13 month baby girl so the three of us visited this time. The room was.exceptional, so was the service and well the food was absolutely delicious. We had two courses each at dinner plus nibbles and breakfast in the morning, we said to each that every single mouthful was to die for, absolutely yummy, it really was. We can't wait to return again sometime in the future.

Nothing really. Only one slight recommendation would have been to add a small light into the opposite corner of our room so that when the bedside lights were on it added to the ambience of the room... Seriously, that was it! 😂

Rooms are lovely, staff are great, food is excellent, I mean really good and well worth a visit even if you're not staying! We've stayed here before and would definitely stay again.

The room was a little warm, but they do provide fans, which does make a difference. Strangely, the corridor to the rooms is nice and cool. I do think, however, that the room rate is £10 or £15 in the wrong direction. That's just my personal opinion and I'm sure they have good reasons for that.

The room was very comfortable, with nice touches like fresh milk provided. The bathroom was spacious with an excellent large walk in shower. The food was exceptional. Fresh fish at dinner on the specials menu was wonderful. The breakfast too was very good with interesting options for cooked breakfast. This is not just a 'pub' but has the features of a very good hotel. It even provided an EV charging point so was really up to date! We moved on the next night to stay in a 4* hotel in Nottingham that was a real let down in comparison!

nothing disappointed us.

A la carte breakfast was superb and they were flexible so we could order exactly what we wanted. Dinner menu initially seems limited until you see the offering on the daily specials board. They were happy to work with allergies and offer alternatives. Bed in our room was very comfortable! The staff were very attentive & a credit to the establishment.

Our complimentary bottle of water in the room was not replaced for the 2nd night, otherwise excellent.

The room was decorated to a really good standard, particularly the bathroom and was pretty much spotlessly clean. The room was a lovely room with a coffee maker, not a bad sized TV, a fridge which had milk in for us and a safe. The linen was good quality and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Although the breakfast was very nice and obviously had quality ingredients which were presented well, the choice for vegetarian was, in my opinion, quite poor. I would have expected an vegetarian sausage at the very least being offered. We could not work the safe because it had been left locked, which wasn't a problem for us because we just chose to take our valuables with us. The main problem we found was that we were unable to use the car park because it was full so we had to park on the road at a fair distance away from the The Cow.
