Everything was excellent. Food and attentiveness of staff was great. Morning breakfast was served by Denise who was very nice and always ready to accommodate our needs.The breakfast selections were varied and would please even the fussiest of patrons. We had an evening meal and advised them that we didn't drink alcohol or consume meat products and they were more than happy to exclude these from our food. The surrounding valley was beautiful and added to our enjoyment of the hotel. All in all an excellent experience. Highly recommended. 😀

The only issue we had was on our day of departure the hot water was not working in our on-suite bathroom so we had to have a cold shower 💦. Denise was genuinely apologetic, however this did not affect our stay too much.

Room was nice and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. We had the bonus of a side-room for our son although we didn't need to use it. It's an attractive property in a nice village. Staff were really helpful especially with some navigation needed next day while contending with some closed roads in the area. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would have like to stay another night.

I didn't have the breakfast myself but my wife told me she wasn't particularly impressed with it. The remote control for the satellite box in the room didn't work but this could be easily fixed with some new batteries.

Loved the space for parking, the quiet location, the option of having dinner as well as breakfast. To top it the breakfast was fantastic and dinner was amazing. Would absolutely recommend and have already decided to stay here again.

The music at breakfast wasn’t matching the setting or the superb food however I’m sure that’s just a taste thing and it probably would suit others. The shower works but the fixed head meant I couldn’t angle the water spray to my height and nor could I prevent it spraying g out onto the floor outside the shower cubicle which made it a bit messy and slippery.

One stop over, huge room n double bed, really good bar, absolutely lovely food, friendly chatty staff, awesome breakfast.....yep, fair to say, I quite enjoyed my stay!! 👌👍

Oh alright then 🙄 thinking of something.....the compulsory green emergency fire exit lights could be in a better place....there ya go! Oh, n the Internet signal here is rubbish, but to me that's a good thing 😆

Room was very well furnished and had everything we could ask for, tea, coffee facilities; toiletries etc. But also had a few extras including chocolate and biscuits which I wouldn't expect at this price Restaurant was excellent, high quality food for standard restaurant prices Pleasant bar with good choice of high quality real ales Breakfast was included and again, was of the highest standard with almost unlimited choice All of the staff were friendly and helpful

On arrival we were told we had booked a double room when we had booked a twin. We had that awkward stand off for a few minutes whilst they were able to check with Booking.com who confirmed a twin had been requested. A suitable (lovely) room was found Other than this blip I couldn't fault this accommodation

The breakfast was exceptional in the morning (one of the best cooked breakfasts I've ever had) and the staff were absolutely lovely throughout our stay. My friend is allergic to feather's and I had forgotten to notify them until the night before, but the staff were wonderful in quickly sorting out alternative pillow & duvet for us when we arrived. The room was nice and quiet (no noise from the bar/restaurant area). We had booked the family room for me and my friend, she took the main bed as she has back problems and I slept in the side room on one of the single beds. The room was nicely decorated with a large double bed, wall-mounted TV and vanity table & chair with coffee & tea making facilities. It was early June and it turned out to be stiflingly hot weekend so the staff also brought us up an extra fan to help keep us cool overnight.

The big annoyance was the shower but we were in a rush on the Sunday morning and didn't have a chance to mention this to the staff when we left. The shower head didn't function very well so the water came trickling out and it made it really difficult to have a proper shower and rinse off. It certainly would have been impossible for anyone to wash their hair under that shower. The water pressure itself seemed to be absolutely fine so I can only blame the actual shower head for being faulty or perhaps they have limescale issues? Either way, they need to replace that shower head.

Loved the help and support of Jack and his team altering my booking requirements at short notice and making us so welcome with an early check in as we needed to change travel clothes for the funeral we were attending locally that day

The room was a lovely size with lots of light flooding in but the heating went off and the room was cold through the night My breakfast was ok my daughters vegetarian option was a let down for her due to quality of vegetarian products used

Located 5 minutes away from Dorchester and provides free parking. Flvery comfy rooms. Rooms are located above a restaurant which is mostly convenient.Nice breakfast with many options . Staff is great

I can imagine it might get noisy sometimes as the restaurant has and outdoor sitting just under the rooms. We didn't experience it though. The rooms have no AC (a ventilator is provided). Shower head can benefit from a replacement.

The family room was much better than expected, so much so my son with ASD (who hates sleeping away from home and hotels) loved the room. The atmosphere in the pub was lovely and the staff so friendly. Big shout out to Jack who was just impeccable. The food delicious, and they even coped with us just ordering 6 starters between the four of us. The setting was lovely, the food great and the team just made the whole experience wonderful

Going to nit pick here, but in the en-suite, the window was locked shut. Yes there was a good fan in there and it was well ventilated, but I like to open a window. I know, not really worth mentioning and probably says more about me than the Inn but that's all I could come up with.

Location peaceful, room v clean. Food excellent.

Green light in room for fire evacuation purposes much too bright, disrupted sleep. Breakfast on first morning, one particular member of staff useless. Waited about 1/2 to place order, it wasn't busy, she walked passed us many times, we felt ignored. Tea went cold as waiting for breakfast too long and wanted to drink it with our food,so had to ask for a new pot (asked another member). Did report this incident the next morning (different lady who was excellent).
