Good personal touch. Very clean and in a good location to visit National Trust places.

I had a single room. On booking.com, it implies that the bathroom is in the room. The bathroom was private to me, but however, it was across the landing. This wasn't made clear.

The room and bed were very comfortable and the radiator could be used if we needed it. Plenty of hot water for the new looking shower. Nice open rural views of Maiden Castle. A kettle and a good range of beverages which were replenished each day, including tasty local biscuits. Lacked nothing, every detail provided for. We had our own keys and could come and go as we wished. Breakfast was a delight! Extensive menu including a full English with local eggs, bacon and other trimmings. The hosts were very helpful with local information, and pleasant to chat with - but not in any way intruding. Just 10 minutes level walk from the town, very handy but far enough away to be very quiet and peaceful. Very little local traffic.

Loved the cooked Full English breakfast on both mornings, as well as the grapefruit (always been one of my favourite fruits) and proper filter coffee! As a rural lad myself, the quiet location was ideal for me, whilst also being very easy to find; and it's just a straightforward 15 minute walk from the centre of town (and the enjoyably lively Cider Festival that we attended in the beautifully laid out Borough Gardens). The hosts were friendly and helpful; and if I ever visit Dorchester again, I'd certainly be happy to return here. It has a warm and pleasant family atmosphere that you simply don't get in the big hotels and pub rooms in the town (other friends stayed in town to attend the Cider Festival with me, and were jealous of the fact that we'd found somewhere cheaper than them...and their accommodation didn't even include a breakfast!). Heartily recommend staying here!

If I had to find one very slightly disappointing element of the stay it would be that my private bathroom did not adjoin my single occupancy room, so I had to adorn a dressing gown (thankfully supplied by the proprietors) to preserve my modesty when going across the landing between the two. Also, the toilet roll holder was so close to the toilet when seated that I had to contort myself to access the paper. However, these extremely minor issues did not impair my memories of a wonderful stay (and I really loved the roomy shower!)

The location was ideal for my work visit and the breakfast was perfect! The couple were friendly and welcoming and seemed genuinely interested in why their guests were visiting them. It was also a lovely, quiet location and very handy for a trip down to Weymouth beach early evening.

The bed headboard banged against the wall. Although I knew the bathroom wasn't ensuite when I booked it, I wouldn't opt for that room again as it was a pain having to constantly go out - even to fill up the kettle. I didn't sleep well as it was on my mind that I'd have to take my key and go across the landing to go to the loo in the night. They'd also said there was a dressing gown provided for this purpose, but there wasn't. The car park was quite small and tight to manoeuvre around in.

The location is very good , its within walking distance of the town/ town centre. There is a super store/ petrol station nearby but its also on the outskirts so you can go walking and hiking ( maiden castle walk for one ) the b&b is located on a very quiet road and you won't be disturbed at night by noisy traffic.

There is nothing I didn't like. I am not too sure if this place is suited for a family with very young children due to it being a very quiet place especially at night (I AM NOT SAYING IT ISNT)

We enjoyed the stay - had three rooms for family vacation together. Two of the rooms were big like a hotel suite. All the rooms were tastefully decorated. Each room was supplied with abundant tea/coffee/cookies. Bathroom had a variety of amenities for selection. The hot breakfast was freshly made to order with lots of tea, jam, cereal for selection. I had a delivery to the property which was received with no problem.

Breakfast takes a long time when everyone arrived at the same time one morning.

very nice place and wonderful hosts plus breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice for all tastes. Nice touch with a pack of biscuits on arrival and a jar to keep them fresh. Good choice of drinks in room and extras available if needed on the landing along with wine glasses, cutlery and plates. Location was nice and quiet about 10 to 15 minute walk from town. Dorset museum is well worth a visit as is its tearoom. Had a lovely Indian at the top of the Main Street. Loved our stay in Dorchester. Liked Weymouth close by and Swanage too. Lulworth Cove is nice with coastal walks if you like hills.

parking on the property was tight but can also park in the streets close by if needed.

We had a very comfortable stay. Wendy and Derek are very accommodating hosts, they would be there on an evening when we came home from dinner and stop for a quick chat about our day and to give us some plant milk for our room so we could have an evening tea. Breakfast was great with a large range of products and catered to gluten free and vegan diets. Our room was a cosy double with enough space to move about and a good size en suite. It was impeccably clean. If you're arachnophobic however do remember you're heading to the country, we had a couple of huge daddy long legs and one or two small spiders. They were absolutely no bother and we let them be as spiders are important to the eco system, but I'm sure you could ask for them to be gently removed and placed outside.

Can't think of anything!

Wonderful location within 15 minutes walk of Dorchester town centre. The accomoadation was warm, clean and bright. The couple who ran this business were great hosts and the breakfast was fantastic. There was plenty of information about the area and you can borrow maps. The advice in their area guide is very accurate and there is free parking. The area is quiet and just very relaxing. It has a very family feeling. You are also near the buses and train stations but hear neither. I would not hesitate in recommending Aquila Heights Guest House to anyone.

Nothing comes to mind.

Delightful hosts who were exceptionally obliging, allowing us to check in early & leave our car there after checkout for a few hours on our last day. Spacious & very clean room. Superb breakfast. Wide range of toiletries. Ample extras such as biscuits & bottled water.

Very Occasionally WiFi cut out but this was beyond the hosts control.
