Liked the fact the accommodation is seperate from the family home. The hostess and her mother were very friendly.

The policy here is to to leave you alone and for you to contact the hostess if you needed anything. Sounds good but not perfect. It meant, beds weren't made up. The bed wasn't emptied during our 3 nights stay. The tea /coffee items were not replenished on a daily basis, but had to.be asked for. Requested use of ironing board but only a travel ironing board provided. The shower unfortunately kept switching from hot to cold. Hope the hostess sees this as positive feedback as we did enjoy our stay but it just needs a few tweaks.

As a family with a toddler normally you expect to be cooped up in one room and then have to tip toe round after bed time. What a lovely surprise to find We had a separate living room. Not only that the service was expectional, breakfast fruit platter. My son just loved it and so did we. Exceptional service don't go to a hotel come here!!

Nothing would book again

Amazing host. Beautiful and healthy breakfast. A lot of advices for places to visit and restaurants. Good for a short stay. Quiet place.

Might be inconvenient for 4 people if rainy at breakfast (breakfast in the sofa/living room).

The accommodation was comfortable, spotless and peaceful. Our host looked after us very well and supplied lots of useful local knowledge. Breakfast was magnificent, served in the garden.

Wonderful breakfast, fruit platter, full English and homemade marmalade and toast The garden suite had a separate sitting room with the TV which was very nice If the weather is nice there is a bistro table and chairs to sit in the garden

The only disadvantage of having a separate sitting area is there is a small shower separate from the loo, but not really an issue

One of my favourite stays ever. We were greeted by the lovely Alison and Laurel, the latter who happens to be an adorably friendly black cat. Alison showed us the property which was located behind the house, a set of Annexes fully equipped to house her guests. Featured packed, they contain a living room, bedroom, bathroom and shower. Even the TV had smart features, elevating it above most if not all hotels I've stayed at. She informed us that she doesn't enter the premises and made sure that the area in which we stayed in, including an outside table, was our little bubble should we be worried about the dreaded Coronavirus. We were told about breakfast, which had two options and included plenty to eat, she even gives you a choice of her own homemade jams and marmalades which we then get to keep! Very generous. We had breakfast which was absolutely delicious, especially her marmalade. It was served outdoors as the weather was really nice, however should the weather because less than ideal, Alison would bring the food to the room. Now what stood out to me the most were the charming hosts and their warmth. It really can't be stated enough just how nice they were, both Alison and her mother. I had many conversations with them, they're full of great stories and really made me feel at home. Then there's Laurel the cat, who kept us company for most of our stay, such a friendly and cute cat! He comes as a pair too, however Hardy seems shy so I only ever spotted him from afar. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, I felt so at ease and was also excited to get back to it at the end of each day. We're already planning our next trip out there.

We loved the tea and cakes on arrival, the cats and my son particularly loved the fruit platter at breakfast. The host was really friendly and suggested a great place to eat.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

As hosts, the family were exceptionally welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic and really set you up for the day! Home made marmalades for sale were amazing too (might come back again just for them!) Lovely conversations over breakfast, and recommendations for things to do. Also really appreciate the extra steps taken when cleaning between guests / creating an individual ‘bubble’. The place was thoroughly cleaned!

Nothing! It was lovely!
