the hotel is great a great value for the money - i can`t understand how comes it only has 2 stars - deserves 4 - the staff very helpful they helped bringing the suitcase into the room , nepalese restaurant awesome and food absolutely delicious- and the amount of people dining there from outside the hotel speaks for itself - every day room service ,fresh towels and shower gel , free bottled water in the room , kettle with coffee and tea , everything in the hotel is new as well , the room was very clean and spacious with a lovely view - we stayed there for 4 nights and would surely recommend this place for everyone ! super close to the beach , in East Wemyss that is roughly a 20 minute walk from the hotel you can find caves with Pictish carvings and ruins of the castle where Macbeth took place , a wonderful by the sea path for a great walk along the sea , the area is famous for coal , gas and oil mining back until the mid 80`s , a great location point if you are planning to get to Edynborough , Dundee, st Andrews , Loch Lomond and many other lovely places full of ruins and places to see , lovely people living in there - very friendly and welcoming.

What a find! Unbelievable value for money compared to what else you can get within 45 minutes drive of there. The room I had was absolutely lovely and spotlessly clean. I had one of the rooms that are on the back of the building, with an absolutely wonderful view for miles and miles of the fields to the rear, and with the sun shining on the fields it really was a sight for sore eyes! The road to the front of the hotel although not busy, is a fast road so I am sure that I would not have been as comfortable in a room on the front of the building, but that is just my personal preference. The cherry on top of the icing on the top of the cake is that there is an amazing Nepalese restaurant downstairs, that is very popular and busy and serves beautiful food. All the staff I spoke with are a credit to the business too. I can see that the place is still a work in progress and could see that work was ongoing to the terrace at the rear of the property. So, well done Earl David Hotel and keep on re-investing profits back into the building to improve your overall offering further. I would definitely stay here again. I do not normally leave reviews. The hotel has to be either very good, or very bad for me to bother. Earl David Hotel deserves the time spent to write this review....

Fantastic value for money. Spotlessly clean & very pleasant & helpful staff Though a good bit out of town, the rural setting was beautiful & peaceful. Though there's a bar & restaurant below there was no noise disturbance & we slept well. Check in & out were really smooth. We were able to have take away food from the restaurant in our room which was a real blessing as our arrival was quite late Ample parking

The staff were super friendly. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. Only spent one night as was travelling onwards but definitely worth the rest. Lovely Indian restaurant on site is a bonus. Staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Overall experience was just outstanding.

No sockets near table for plugging in the kettle so I had to move it to the bedside cabinet to boil it. no sockets within range of a mirror for the hairdryer.

Very clean room with plenty of electrical sockets for charging mobile phone and tablet. Indian restaurant within the facility so very easy choice for evening meal...also very good food.

A rail to hang clothes hooks on.....there is space in a small alcove near the bed (room 4). NB. Plenty of draws but no cupboard for jackets etc.

Newly renovated room makes for a nice night. All very clean and a quiet place for a good night sleep. Television didn’t work properly- kept losing the signal and two of the flattest, worst pillows I’ve ever come across- I’m sure if you ask they will sort it out! Friendly staff

Lovely family room, pristine, very well presented, and above the excellent Indian/Nepalese restaurant which we had a lovely meal in. Room smelt lovely and fresh too, which impressive give the spices in the kitchen! Staff were very welcoming and friendly too. Thank.you!

It was clean and functional modern design family room with separate beds for kids and access to restaurant serving delicious food. A handy car park at the rear and front. A friendly staff were very helpful. No breakfast was available on site.

The blinds for the window in bathroom would be useful.

The rooms were to a high standard/ staff welcoming and when visiting the restaurant, the food was exceptional - Highly recommended. I look forward to my next stay at Earl David Hotel
