Comfortable bed to fall into at the end of the day. Nice quaint pub with history within stumbling distance. Very friendly. Tea/coffee making facilities. Fridge/microwave in communal area. Left alone to get on with whatever. Easy check out. Good location. Quiet. No hassle.

Hostess nice woman but hard to understand. Issue with payment because trouble with payment machine but easily sorted then left alone. No breakfast options but McDs not far away.

the property was gorgeous. listed building. we were in the basement room with very low ceilings. the top floors, the owner informed me, are used for the homeless. had an intresting encounter with one. the building and gardens are beautiful though.

the Avon version in basement menat that the ceilings were low and without warning stickers, Iv now a bump on my head. the residents woke us up at 3am on our first night and felt a bit unsafe, especially with my 4 year old.

We loved the park that was close by, great for dogs and the small harbour which was used as part of the filming location for Outlander (la Harve season 2 episode 1) The Merchant House is also dog friendly. The staff were all very nice and there's a little Courtyard and enclosed garden out the back ideal for your dogs or perhaps sit and eat breakfast.

Stayed here to be near to family for Xmas. the place was as described, no frills but perfectly serviceable. Pet friendly bonus.

the door bell going off every time someone enters it leaves is a little annoying but didn’t spoil stay.

Had a very good time here! :) The landlady was always very kind to me. She was always helpful and even offered some vegetables from her own garden and prepared some amazing dumplings! (Thanks a lot, S!) The house is very cozy and has a beautiful garden. The surroundings are beautiful, with the sea and a huge park very close. As soon as I can, will repeat :)

Quiet little basement room. It had a nice bathroom next door and a kitchen area with a kettle, microwave, fridge and sink too. Felt like a mini apartment 🙂

Room was basic and a trifle dated but very clean and good value for a soloist.
