Bathroom a bit on the small side but a minor problem

I try to review hotels for the price point they cater to, and for the money this cost (and on the Jubilee Weekend too!) this exceeded expectations; the room was fine, the ensuite was perfectly serviceable, the bed comfy enough etc. Special mention to the staff who are very friendly and helpful. This is a perfect cheap place to crash for a night or two.

While levels of cleanliness were generally fine, the bathroom was a bit tired. Ordinary folk probably wouldn't think anything of it, particularly for the price point, but if you're a clean freak you probably should look elsewhere.

The Room was a little small to two above average weight people. Breakfast was adequate although there was no full scottish breakfast The bathroom was very small the information on the website and the brochure was confusing e.g. website states £100 in cash damage deposit required but it was not asked for. Wifi in brochure says no pass key required but info sent by owners gives password. The staffwere all very friendly and helpful. For a budget accomodation I would recommend it.

nice clean room and comfortable

breakfast was a terrible could not get a cup of tea all the food had been eaten by 2 greedy German familys.Complained to waitress but made out she did not understand and gave me apot of hot water?

Good sized room for 4 adults, comfortable beds, nice and clean, with private bathroom. Good location with bus stop nearby for travel to Edinburgh city centre (about 30 minutes).

Breakfast was very basic and not much choice, but still fairly good for a budget hotel.

Host is very friendly, great communication and very accommodating to request. Nice quite area, close to the city centre. Bus links from outside the accommodation straight to Edinburgh city centre which is very handy. Pictures true to what rooms are like. Lovely stay overall

The beds, pillows and linen were really comfortable and we slept well. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were supplied and the shower was a nice temperature and easy to work. Our hosts were lovely and there if we needed them. There was a nice continental breakfast with a decent amount to choose from.

The stair carpet needs to be replaced.

Lovely breakfast nice room the first night was peaceful the second night got woke up at 3am in morning by the guest which were in the next two rooms shouting banging swearing in and out of each others rooms up and downstairs in and out on street making noise the smoke alarms keep going off and the smell of cannabis in hall this went on all night no staff came to ask them to be quite and have respect for other guests

Breakfast was included in the price, which is rare in most places now so it was very nice. The rooms are a decent size and good for a few nights stays.

The only issue I had was with the shower. With very obvious mould in the shower developing in the sealing parts and around the edges it felt a little dirty to shower in.

Comfortable and clean enough. Good value for money for the location. Coffee, tea etc replenished when asked for. Asked for an iron/ ironing board and staff happily obliged. Very friendly staff.

Only thing I could fault was that the cups/ spoons weren't very clean for a drink, other than that, spot on.
