The location and space in and around the Hotel was great, walking around the grounds was nice, hotel had several quiet lounges.

Restrictions around New Year was absolutely shocking, if you didn’t book the specific New Year package the staff made you feel like a 2nd class citizen, restricted to room service only, couldn’t use the bar, lounges or restaurant!! absolutely unbelievable.

The best part of this hotel was the: Spa (treatments, 3 course lunch, and the indoor swimming pool). Accommodation: rooms were decent size, we stayed in Mews and they were the perfect size for the family of 4. There were two separate rooms within the same block with a lounge downstairs and deck chairs in front, which gave us a feel of being on a holiday home, perfect! Grounds, gardens, and surroundings were breathtaking and gave us a calm and relaxing sense Room service, bar service and afternoon tea were excellent Couldn't fault the atmosphere within the Manor house itself. We will be going back there for sure. Amazing experience, definitely recommend it.

The only let down was the restaurant service we received at breakfast and dinner. Food was not worth the money at all which really was a crying shame given the awesome room you were sitting in. Service was slow, food was below standard you would expect from an establishment that boosts quality. Overall we were disappointed.

Stunning grounds, manor and facilities. We stayed in one of the cottages on the side and everything was very cute, clean and nicely decorated. Loved the outdoor pool! We were heading to an early train on the Eurotunnel and the lady in the dining room helped us get a little takeaway box with pastries and bread and two teas which was much appreciated!

No air conditioning - I guess you don’t need it much in England but we went in a heatwave so it was a bit uncomfortable. The staff at the bar were quite young and inexperienced. We paid for our drinks and then they forgot our orders so we had to go and ask again.

The house and grounds are simply gorgeous and all the staff were really friendly polite and nice, a credit to the place. The breakfast was great, loads of choice everything you could want and more. The dinner we had was just ok , very expensive for what it was and not particularly worth the cost, not exceptional. Mum uses a wheelchair as not great on her legs and was a bit of a step from our cottage to the house, the paths are not great.

The room wasn't particularly clean, especially the floor, couldn't walk round bare foot as it didn't seem like it had been swept or mopped. Not well designed either, we had lovely large patio doors which lead out onto a main walkway which meant we couldn't have anything open at night ( and women of a certain age will know how much this is needed), there was a time window above them which we had to stand on a chair to open but didn't let much air in. Rooms are pretty basic, lovely bathroom and great shower though.

The building and surrounding grounds were lovely, the staff were very nice also, particularly in the bar, I believe their names were Jack (soon to be going on holiday) & Sophie, who I think had only just started working there. Dinner was delicious, we went for the chateaubriand and would certainly have it again. Lunch in the bar was also lovely.

The spa wasn't available at suitable times for us, we ideally wanted to use the spa during the day but it seemed to be closed all afternoon, open early in the morming and again from 5pm onwards. Also, I think you need to book the spa a little in advance too, we booked a room at the last minute which probably went against us. Also £50 for a 20-minute treatment seemed a little pricey. The shower head holder was broken in our bathroom, so showering took a little improvisation, plus some of the TV channels had poor signal.

The location was lovely, and the grounds are beautiful. The Mews rooms are modern, well maintained and clean. The spa facilities are also clean, and there’s a very relaxing atmosphere.

I couldn’t understand why guests that were staying for a night or two could only use the spa facilities between 7-10 in the morning, and 5-9 in the evening, I can’t help but feel that this is slightly unfair seeing that we paid quite a bit of money. It would have been nice to have been able to use the spa facilities during the day as well, and not at such limiting times (basically either during breakfast, or during dinner). I do also think that the dinner menu could have a few more options, especially starter wise.

Second time we visited Eastwell Manor, this time we stayed in the Manor instead of the cottages. Finding the entrance/reception has much much easier this time due to the familiarity with the estate - would have been lost without the knowledge however especially when arriving after dark. Maybe adding a large map / arrows pointing to the manor/spa/cottages and lights by the road would clear up the confusion? The scenery is beautiful, staff are friendly and helpful, the room was very quiet and clean. It was a dark and rainy day so couldn't enjoy the walk outside but we came for the spa which has not disappointed - the pool is large (could be deeper), the massage jets are varied and powerful, the sauna and steam room and jacuzzi are fully functional, the changing rooms are well stocked and frequently cleaned. Breakfast was again lovely with a lot of options to choose from - pastries, cereal, fruit, juices, coffee, tea from the buffet area and/or freshly cooked options from the menu. Thank you again, will be back soon!

Weather? out of the control of the hotel though :) Channels on tv were limited - would be nice to be able to log in to my Netflix/Prime account with a newer tv - not the end of the world however

Such a lovely break and the location was awesome! we used the gym and spa facilities which were spot on. The sports massage was excellent! A special mention goes to the staff at the hotel, particularly those in the restaurant and the bar. I cannot speak highly enough of them and they provided the best service we have ever had. thank you to them, you made our stay even better! We can’t wait to come back! (p.s. the music in the bar was not “too rocky”)

the temperatures of the water in the spa facilities like the jacuzzi were too cold. However, that is our only “complaint”.

The room was spacious and stylish, huge and very comfortable bed. I love that the bathroom had a bath, for me a real treat when staying in a hotel. The staff are all so kind and helpful. From the reception staff (helping me to choose a walking route) to the bar staff (amazing cocktails!) to the restaurant staff, nothing is too much trouble. The grounds are stunning, lovely to laze on the terrace and the spa is an added bonus! Oh and breakfast is fabulous too.

Absolutely nothing

We booked a Manor Luxe room and it was way beyond expectations! Huge and comfortable four poster bed, couch, chairs, complimentary bottled water and a glorious view over the gardens. It was 'Lord of Manor' quality for sure. And there were proper glasses - two for prosecco/champagne and two for cocktails/water. This is something that whilst a small thing to me is very important - I don't want to be drinking water out of a thimble size plastic cup! Thinking about the room, the only minor negative would be the small amount of space for hanging clothes. If we'd been there more than one night, my girlfriend would not have had enough room for more than one day's outfits :-) The grounds are stunning and even on a chilly December day we enjoyed a walk to blow the cobwebs of a few too many proseccos away. Just a lovely place to stay. Thank you!
