I had a pleasant welcome from David. Check in was smooth and quick. David showed me the room and explained how things work in the room and was very helpful. The room was adequate for a single person. Coffee , Tea and other amenities were excellent. Bed was comfortable.

Even though the room good and bed comfortable the windows are not sound proof. I could hear the noise of the truck and cars outside. Even though the traffic is not busy but was disturbed the noise from the vehicles. The WiFi is not constant as well , the signal sometimes stronger and sometimes difficult even to connect.

Lovely smart hotel (B & B) in very central location for town center. Easy parking at the rear of the hotel and at the front on the main street. Very quiet main street. Decor in the main hotel was lovely and the garden at the rear was delightful. David the Host was very informative and had a great sense of humour. Other staff very friendly as well. Breakfast was superb with the best scrambled egg ever. Cooked as it should be. Bed very comfy and large.

Our bedroom was a bit like a cellar with low ceilings although it was on the ground floor but was seperate to the hotel off the main street. It was small but comfy enough. I think we had the last room that night which I imagine was not up to the standard of the other bedrooms. I think the price was too high for the room we had. No shower in the bathroom but we had a soak in the nice roll top bath which made a great change. Overall we had a great stay and would return. Please be aware that the hotel does not do evening meals. Websites are a bit misleading unless you read them well. I think the clue is in the Hotel description but this is being corrected.

Location, comfort, cleanliness, friendliness and ambience - all excellent. The room had an East facing view opposite the Church wynd that allowed views between and beyond the houses either side [see pic].

The fitted venetian blind wasn't able to block out the very early sunrise which, once it woke me, made it difficult to get back to sleep! What further prevented me from sleeping was, admittedly low level, noise from either plumbing or extractor fans - which, at that time in the morning seemed more noticeable.

Lovely room with character. Bedroom and public rooms all clean and well presented. All staff helpful and obliging.Hotel is situated in a quiet part of Richmond. Nice hearing the church clock chiming during the day.

No complaints at all but note that the hotel restaurant is only for breakfast - it is not open for evening meals. Wasn't a problem as there are plenty of places to eat in Richmond within easy walking distance.

Host was very friendly, engaging and helpful. Room was in the cottage next door to the hotel and was large and roomy bath only. The outside seating area has a lovely cottage garden feel and very pleasant to sit in. Breakfast was very good, hot and quickly served.

No quibbles on my stay my room was bath only but my travelling companions said there rooms had everything they needed.

The bedroom was perfect with several very thoughtful touches, such as a bedside switch to turn off the lights and a motion-activated light in the bathroom. The ceiling fan was a nice bonus given the hot weather. Breakfast was of an excellent standard, freshly cooked and with really top quality bread, marmalade etc.

The staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was spotlessly clean and we loved the mix of modern with the Georgian features of the property. The location was superb with only a short walk to all the attractions. The underfloor heating in the bathroom and steam proof mirror were really great, as was the walk in shower.

Great freshly cooked breakfast. Very close to the town centre and a lot of restaurants. Italian just round the corner.

The hotel uses unrestricted street parking, The street is very busy. As a backup, the hotel has limited parking somewhere ,but we did not have to use it.

Super welcome from mein host and some Dad jokes I hadn't heard before! Characterful building and room - so much better than a sterile chain hotel. Breakfast was excellent - local produce, wide range of options and all freshly prepared. No tepid buffet with rubber scrambled eggs here!

I should have had my evening meal here, based on the quality of the breakfast it would have been great - the sample menu I saw online was very intriguing.

Charming historic Georgian and pre-Georgian building in a lovely Georgian terrace, right opposite a path to the church. Nice garden at the rear, plus car park which is a bonus in a town where parking is at a premium and can be expensive.

Almost nothing. A tiny point-the ceiling hatch in the sitting room looks part-open, which makes it look as though someone has forgotten to close it. But otherwise perfect.
