On arrival I was given a warm welcome by Elizabeth, who owns the property. Breakfast is excellent with nothing spared. Elizabeth is very informative of the village and surrounding area. I was there for some bird watching and Dower House is well situated for all the local reserves. Mottey, Elizabeth's young black Labrador, is a lovely, friendly dog. All in all I had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone who visits the area. There is a small shop and post office in the village and Fakenham has plenty of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and take-aways.

I had no complaints during my stay.

The B&B is in a quiet village not far from Fakenham. The traditional style double room with en-suite shower room is very clean and the bed is comfortable. The landlady was welcoming, friendly and informative. Breakfast was very good with everything anyone is likely to want, nicely cooked and presented. We had tea making facilities in the room. Good WiFi.

The room is a touch on the small side, I would have liked to have armchairs to sit in rather than just on the bed or perhaps a small seating area for guests in the dining room or spacious hall.

Breakfasts were excellent, plentiful and well presented. We made a request for something specific one day which Elizabeth was able to accommodate without a problem. On another day she offered us something special (smoked haddock, not something you find on offer at most B&Bs) which we gratefully accepted and was delicious; well cooked and a good size, with a poached egg as a bonus. We came away with a jar of her superb home made jam.

Dower House was a wonderful place to stay and our Host could not have been better. We enjoyed every moment we were there and it was sad to leave. Without doubt the best breakfast we have ever had in a beautiful house. I would recommend this to everyone, this place had class as did our HOST. one day we will return.

Absolutely nothing.

A perfect base to explore the North Norfolk area. Elizabeth was a wonderful host who was very welcoming and friendly. The room was well-equipped with an extremely comfy bed and spacious en suite. Slept really well each night and felt well-rested the following day. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice!

Lovely quiet location, beautiful house and garden. Very relaxed. Situated nicely for easy access to lots of interesting places around. Very enjoyable meal at The Aviator in Sculthorpe . The Nature Reserve at Sculthorpe was also worth a visit, although we did not see the beavers on our visit.
