It was cleaner and more modern than I’d perhaps expected. I felt the facilities were excellent and it was obvious that the building had been recently refurbished or that the hotel itself was relatively new. It was also within walking distance of everywhere I needed to go and there was no issue getting back after my concert. I also liked how the shower had the choice of both a fixed shower head and also the removable attachment and in general the bathroom was faultless.

I felt the corridors were a little small and claustrophobic. I felt that the ceilings were quite low and I also felt that the view from my window was just of a back lane and a net to keep the pigeons from roosting; but honestly this is just minor things because the whole experience was a lot more positive than I’d first believed.

Great location in the Merchant City so plenty of things to do and places to eat nearby, or you can get a take out meal from the restaurant next door to have in your room. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from Queen Street station. Room was cozy and well equipped. The staff on reception were incredibly helpful. Wifi was good and for a one night stay it was great value for money

The lift is very small, slow and cramped, you can just about fit two people with cases in. No breakfast option, but plenty of places to grab this nearby.

Room bathroom and linen all clean and fresh. Lovely shower, very comfortable bed. Windows can be opened! Excellent location, although on arrival at night it took me a few minutes to find the place because it has a small street front - you've got it so flaunt it! Parking is just around the corner, not bad for a city centre hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

They don't serve breakfast, which was a specific on my booking.com search (you guys!), but there are plenty of good places nearby which open early enough and the hotel did let me know beforehand - so the negative is not the hotel but booking.com.

Very centrally located in merchant city, close to the restaurants and shops, property is on a semi pedestrian street so very little traffic noise at night. I was upgraded from the compact to the double and as my room was at the back it was silent at night. My room had new windows and a new bathroom, It’s basic but clean and warm and had a shower and a bath which was a godsend after walking around all day. Heating was a radiator that I could control and windows opened for fresh air. Room was also cleaned every day without asking. All the staff I met were very pleasant and friendly.

It is basic and being at the back my view was of the interesting brickwork of the next building. I also wasn’t too sure about having to hand back my key every time I left the building. Bed was also on the firm side. Having said that I slept amazingly well and would have happily stayed longer.

The staff was very friendly and at the reception 24/7, which was really helpful for queries we had. The triple room was a great size, and the bathroom was modern and big.

The bar of the hotel that was right outside meant that the reception was a bit overcrowded at times, and there was some noise later in the evening and night (till about midnight); but still it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend, especially if you plan on going to the bar, you are guaranteed to meet lots of new people.

The location was brilliant! It is in Merchant city so there is plenty to do around. It's only a short walk to the shops. Plenty to eat and drink. Right next to Tesco, Sainsbury's and Macdonald's. The bed was super comfortable. Rooms were kept clean and tidy. The room had an en-suite and shower gel is included. Tea and coffee stand too. I would defiantly stay here again!

Nothing bad at all. The only thing was I did ask for some extra teabags and milk and they never came, they must of forgotten but it's no biggie, I just bought some from the shop. Also not the end of the world!

Very very friendly staff, the room was very clean and comfortable, it's also at a very good location and there is a small pub right next door.

The room did not have any cutlery, so if you bring in any take out, you won't have plates to eat in. The window isn't sound proof, so even if you close it, you can hear drunk people screaming on the street or kegs being dropped off at the bar below early in the morning and this is on a week day (Monday and Tuesday) so your sleep might be disturbed.

It was Local to everything in town, The rooms where compact but absolutely lovely with everything you needed at had, and the bed was so comfy! The Bar although we didn’t actually use due to other plans, looked like a great atmosphere and the food smelt amazing too! The Hotel staff where all absolutely lovely, every one we met on the shift from entry to cleaners to even the nightshift staff on door where all so happy and chatty, just a very welcoming atmosphere all round :) also able to get a great night sleep as its quite tucked away so theres not much noise atall really, even with passers by!

there wasn’t anything we disliked!

The rooms were incredibly clean and sported modern décor. The staff are all super friendly, especially Ria who was very welcoming, and friendly. In fact, Ria heard I had booked the trip for my sister's birthday and immediately went above and beyond to make the stay that extra bit special.

There wasn't anything not to like really. If I was going to put something for the sake of it, the rooms didn't offer much in the way of noise reduction so I heard every step my sister took in the next room.

Excellent location in the heart of the city. There was someone there 24/7 and they were very helpful. The property was clean.

I found a fantastic rate on booking.com which made this stay worth it. I tried to book again at a later date but the property was advertises for double the price which is definitely not worth it when you can get cheaper room in four star hotels in the area.
