Nice staff, good location, liked the free coffees, juices etc on hand in the bar/reception area, felt very secure - good activities available like pool table, Jenga etc. and although basic, the snacky type food you could order (pizza, fries etc) was decent and is on hand 24 hours which was useful. Room was well worth the money. Be careful at the NCP carpark who they have a tie in with (which does save you a lot of money) as you will find heroin addicts shooting up on the staircases, needles everywhere and them generally crawling around the place especially at night. This is not the hotels fault and they did get onto NCP as they were horrified. So if you're a lone female for example, I'd forgo the saving on offer and park somewhere else which does not have easy access for the addicts to sneak in like the NCP does.

As stated, the carpark that IBIS are aligned with (NCP) is full of heroin addicts and there are needles everywhere. We had to step over (with my kid) two half naked big fellas on the staircase who were shooting up and surrounded by vomit and needles. Very unsafe. This is not the fault of IBIS however and needs to be dealt with by NCP and the police.

Although very tight still felt comfortable. The shower was great -- best of our 3 week holiday. Really liked the high bathroom countertop. The location was great for walking to all that we wanted to see and felt very safe. Short walk across George Square to Queen Street station.

Air conditioning unit located above the door leaked water continuously for 2 days. We brought it to the attention of the staff on three occasions and nothing was done to correct or to move us. Carpet was soggy and we had to place a fresh bath towel in front of the door twice a day.

Spotlessly clean which is due to the housekeeping Department, bed linen is lovely and the mattress was very comfortable.. (read on for quality of sleep . ) Room is small but as a base it’s ideal. Reception staff very friendly and helpful .there is a restaurant and bar but limited choice ,.Coffee machine is free but would have liked a fresh coffee but not a deal breaker for me .Ironing board etc is in the room and the hairdryer was good . Location is great ,5 min walk to St George’s square, main rail stations and subway restaurants, cinema, museums also very close .

The constant hum of the hotel’s A/C which kept me awake for the whole of my stay , I was moved from the 2nd floor to the 4th floor and the same noise ,. I was given a free drink ticket to compensate for the noise ! Unfortunately I would have need earplugs and copious amount of alcohol as well to have drowned out the noise .!! Breakfast was bit mediocre and staff didn’t seem to top up when food supplies were down

Clean and comfortable. Easy access to town. Reception staff were lovely and made conversation. Mentioned through the app when booking that the stay was for our anniversary. Staff were kind enough to leave a handwritten note and gift in the room on arrival. This made it feel even more special. Can’t praise them enough for attention to detail. We would definitely stay again. Bed was firm and comfortable. Slept well. Blackout curtains made it feel like midnight even in the day. It’s perfect for short stays in the city. Highly recommend. :)

Can’t actually fault it. The window didn’t really have a view and just looked on to other windows of the hotel but this wasn’t an issue and didn’t affect our stay at all. There’s a thin curtain which can be pulled over for privacy & daylight.

This hotel is the perfect location for staying in the Merchant City of Glasgow. Buchanan St. and George Square are an easy walk to. The hotel's dining room has windows looking out over buildings with beautiful architecture. Our rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Both rooms had showers that were easy to access. Breakfast was served as an ample buffet and was delicious. There is a good variety of restaurants in the area. We enjoyed everything.

Parking. The streets are narrow in old town Glasgow. There was available street parking to unload and load our luggage. For overnight, the car had to be parked in a car park one block behind the hotel. The hotel does provide a discount for the car park.

The place was amazing from when arrived very informative and easy to follow signs, amazing decor I liked the very Glasgow aesthetic true to theme all the way to the room absolutely spotless and most comfortable room possible all appliances where insanely useful (they thought of everything) and had absolutely everything we needed easily accessible and very well laid out rooms ensuring maximum function and support while also not making the room feel cramped amazing

Only thing I did not enjoy was not even the hotels fault (because the windows are double glazed and the hotel was soundproofed no noise pollution from other rooms or anything) the only issue was just the polo lounge across the road because it’s a weekend and was quite noisy through the night and was not to great for trying to sleep but it’s understandable given the centre of Glasgow at midnight you could tell they put a lot of effort into the room to minimalist outside noise, as well upon opening the curtains to see outside the huge window is completely glazed over so we can’t see outside which we where kinda hoping to have in the room

Check in was smooth, and the room was excellent. The staff took the time to orientate us to the George Square area, and its shopping and dining prospects. It was our first time in Glasgow, and the information and recommendations were very helpful. In addition, the staff arranged for our 3:30 AM Taxi to the airport. Overall, a very good experience.

Cannot think of a single thing that would have contributed to, an already outstanding experience.

Location was excellent. Room was comfortable and quiet outside, no street noise. staff were very helpful.

A couple of very small things. The noise of the air conditioning unit was invasive and prevented sleep on the first night. By the second night, we almost got used to it. However hard we tried we couldn’t turn it off and the wall mounted control unit made no difference to the noise. If we had been staying any longer, we would have asked staff to help. Is it supposed to be on ALL night? The tea and coffee making facilities were but fine, but couple more coffee and milk sachets would have been appreciated as we had to eke out the meagre supply.

The location - you are right in the city centre near the stations- all the shops, bars etc if that is your thing. The breakfast was really nice and well organised. The staff were nice. Being central means you can get anywhere in the region by public transport too very easily. It was very quiet despite the location but I was in a back room I think.

My room felt a big gloomy as there wasn't any light coming in from window and the lighting wasn't strong enough, for my liking. The design of the room meant one side of the bed was not really wide enough for any practical use and I had to move the bedside table and lamp. Ok if a single traveller like me but not great for couples.

Easy to find, in great location - surprisingly quiet at night, especially as the hotel is located right near some bars/restaurants and very central. Stayed with my 10yr old in a twin room. She commented how comfortable the beds were and we slept really well. Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel very clean and modern. We liked the quirky references to Glasgow incorporated in the design and decor of the hotel. We loved the breakfast. A brilliant choice of all sorts to eat and plenty of room in the bright, clean bar area. My daughter loved the free pool table too! Staff were happy to look after our bags upon arrival prior to the room being ready, and again at the end of our stay after checkout - so we were free to explore all day before getting the train home.

There were no windows in the hotel room which we could open when we got too warm. I prefer to be able to let some fresh air in. There was an air con unit though, which I imagine will be useful in the summer months.
