The room was dark, window was sealed, the outlook was a light well yard, our mistake was to book a Classic Room. We were able to upgrade to a Club Room for the following two nights, this was lovely, a large room, large opening windows, view of the street! All the furniture, fittings and bathroom were fine. We did not use the drinks provided as we were out most of the time. We breakfasted in McDonalds Bakery next to central station, filled rolls and coffee reasonable price.

Great location, super clean rooms, and very friendly hotel staff. We had such a great stay at the Carlton George. It was the perfect base to explore Glasgow central to sights, train stations, and underground and super quiet! We slept very well in the comfy bed. Very large room, so we weren't climbing over our bags.We only ate at Windows for breakfast as we were keen to explore the city. The restaurant has a wonderful rooftop view of the city, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of options to satisfy vegans. Would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends to do the same. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Rooms are a bit old school but roomy and comfortable. Bonus to have large bathtub and free soft drinks (and some beer and alcohol!?!). Pleasant staff at front desk and housekeeping. We had late check out for a reasonable fee. Location is perfect for walking everywhere in central Glasgow and even further afield. We’d stay here again. Good value for money. We did not have breakfast but their £13 rate is reasonable for the area. Most places out would be more than that.

Roof top restaurant was a little odd. Bed was not comfortable to sit in but quite ok for sleeping.

We liked the traditional atmosphere, such as warm wood as well as the comfort in our room and bed including a mini bar. The location was particularly good for us as it's right next to Queen Street Station. The staff was exceptionally friendly and available for our very early flight. I enjoyed having a nice well appointed bathroom including a tub and having the room made up each day. Liked the mini bar and frig - that was a nice, unusual treat.

We wished we could have gone to the bar. That was something we were looking forward to and not every room gets to have access. There wasn't a good friendly feeling in the restaurant like we've experienced elsewhere, like the serving staff was unhappy. There are lots of good restaurants nearby were you can likely get a better breakfast.

The Carlton George Hotel is an absolute delight for lodging in Glasgow. Centrally located less than a block from Glasgow Queen Street station and George Square, so it is easily and quickly located upon arrival by train. Very comfortable bed, spacious room, excellent wifi. Dinner in the hotel restaurant, Windows, was excellent with choices of teriyaki salmon and green vegetable curry. But disappointing sticky toffee pudding. Fantastic breakfast place 5 minutes from the hotel just past George Square on John Street: Singl-end Merchant City. Porridge with fruit and iced mocha made for a delicious breakfast

Perfect location and very central.

I didn’t realise I had to book directly with the hotel to get my £10 voucher which I’ve always received before.

The hotel location is in an excellent position in the city next to George Square, shops and restaurants. On arrival hotel staff were lovely and welcoming. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Bedroom was very clean and smelled really fresh on entering. Lovely hand wash, hand cream, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom & fresh soft towels. Mini bar and refreshments were well stocked free of charge too. Staff throughout our stay were pleasant, helpful and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel.

No view from our window. However, this wasn't a problem for us as we were out all day.

We stayed in a room with lounge access. The room was very big with a balcony complimentary drinks in the room gin,whisky,vodka,cans of tonic,pepsi,7up and some bottles of water and wine. The bed was massive. We went to the lounge for drinks and snacks all was complimentary. For breakfast we went back to the lounge which had a complimentary continental breakfast.

Some of the cabinets in the room where a bit dated doors just not fitting right or struggling to hang on atall but all still opened and closed. other than that the hotel was perfect.

The room was spacious enough and adequately equipped. The atmosphere was complimented by the wardrobe, corner liquor cabinet, and classy work space tucked away in the back. The room also came with lounge access, which for the price was worth it! Located within the heart of Glasgow made for easy travel by foot to many of the nearby attractions and various eating and drinking.

Though the room was nice with a "Mad Men" ambience, the bathroom could be updated to look less "public-use." The only other disappointment was look straight at another building without visual access to George Square a few yards away, but that is to be expected in a proper city.

Staff were lovely and welcoming. So is the lovely fireplace as you enter through the front door! Rooms were very well equipped. The complimentary bar was a lovely touch in the room. Toiletries smelled amazing. Bath was huge and deep. Really enjoyed bath and shower. Loved the coffee machine in the room. The bath towels were nice and big and the bed was so comfortable. I didn't wake up once through the night. Heating and air con was perfect. Executive lounge service was amazing with good wine and branded products including the spirits! Breakfast was delicious with a lovely view of the city. I didn't want to come home. I would have loved an extra night so cosy and peaceful. Perfect location for shopping. Close to Georges Square. We want to come back and hopefully next time try out the club room with balcony. Big thank you to all staff who made us feel very welcome, you were all perfect🤩
