The view from our room was fabulous, looking out over the hot tub and the estuary. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was nice, too. Staff we encountered were nice, friendly and professional. Breakfast was nice, good selection of food and beautiful views. The pool was warm, towels were provided. The views from the hot tub made it all the more special. The train station was very close to the hotel with plenty of free on street parking available.

I personally prefer a kettle, rather than a Nespresso machine. I would have liked oat milk at breakfast but it was not an option. I did notice a few areas needing a little attention, such as a chipped table in the hallway, the tea tray in the room needed a clean, there was also a pair of socks in the bedside drawer on our arrival.

Our bedroom on the Lomond suite was just what I wanted, both in room size and decor. The bathroom had a walk in shower and room to move around in. The view from our bedroom will was beautiful, shame about the weather on some of the days. The Spa, swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi were immaculate and gave one a atmosphere of relaxation. My husband played a round of golf on the beautiful course along with me and our 2 small dogs on the buggy. The views are amazing and the course quite challenging due to hidden wee burns dotted around the course.

We would have liked the menu to have been more varied e.g it was the same menu every day for lunch and evening meal. No chicken or beef on the menu other than a burger or very small steak and ale pie. As we had 2 small dogs with us we were in the bar dining room next to the main restaurant. This was not a problem for us, but it would have been nice if staff could have set the table with sugar, salt and pepper and other accoutrements without having to ask for them every time we used the dinning room. I was also surprised to see a couple sitting in bathrobes at lunch time in the main resterant, apparently no dress code in this area!!!!

We are everything but golfers, but we liked the hotel. The rooms were readonably big, the bathrooms were modernly designed. I liked that they had prepared heaters if you feel cold during the scottisch summer. The restaurant looked very good, but we didn't have time to try it out. There were bunnies on the gras - how sweet!

The hotel is far from new, and although good maintained, it needs refreshment. We stayed for only one night, we arrived late in the evenening and left early in the morning, but they requested a deposit for the room, which was returned by checkout - I'm a tourist, not a vandal... It was not a big problem, but I was surprized, because I was never asked for a deposit for one night.

Lovely staff and stunning building and surroundings. a great venue and place to stay. In the main I was delighted with my booking but on the first evening the restaurant let things down to a standard I did not expect given the cost of my stay. Despite my comments below, my third night dining experience was superb. Great food and excellent service. Of particular note was my wine waiter who was a great ambassador to the hotel. I watched him attend to his guests for two hours and he was faultless to the point I approached him as I left and having handed over a healthy tip, I took time to tell him my observations and to congratulate him. He didn’t just do a job, he was a charismatic hard working young man and he should be recognised by his employers.

First night in the restaurant there was a large party of foreign EU guests. It had been reconfigured to accommodate them which is nice, however, my restaurant reservation wasn’t honoured and I was moved to dine in the bar. I was then advised to opt for a simple meal if I wanted serving within an hour as the large party had taken some kind of priority. Not happy at paying full price as a three day guest and being treated as if I was second best to other guests. Not good.

The view. The room, plenty of space, comfy bed, good shower. The spa treatment. The breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Arriving to find out we had to take our cases back to the car in heavy rain and drive to another carpark as we were in a different block. Having to check in at the front desk when we had done this online. Been asked for a deposit payment in case of damage we might cause and finding there was a mark on a pillow case and torn duvet cover on the the bed. Towel and bath mat taken after first night and not replaced. The evening meal was awful.

Most of the grounds were amazing. The room was really nice, spacious, private, well laid out with good mirrors. Clean nice bathroom. Large bed. The restaurant food was absolutely top notch. Really well presented and tasty. The views from the restaurant were lovely. The spa pool was really nice, with amazing views and the sauna was nice.

The pool, steam room were dated (though big). Half the lockers did not work. The steam room could do with a nice scent of some kind, otherwise it smelt a bit funny in the pool area and steam room. There were no treatments available when we were there. Clearer instructions on the facilities, such as how the spa system works i.e. (did it have towels, lockers etc)

We loved our stay and enjoyed using the facilities. Staff were very friendly. Beautiful place and surroundings! We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the food was delicious on both occasions. The room was lovely and we had such a beautiful view.

Rooms not very soundproof, we could hear when next door got back to their hotel room, muffled conversations coming through the walls and could hear when they were moving around in their room. We stayed in one of the suites so didn’t think this would have been an issue. We weren’t too affected by this thankfully as we stayed just 1 night.

Location great. Rooms nicely decorated. Great view.

Walls are paper thin. We could hear a couple in the room next door arguing. No air con meant we had to open windows which was loud til later at night as there was a wedding on. The hot tub was outside our room and this opens early so we were wakened with people in that. Breakfast was ok but food could be warmer and topped up more frequently. My husband doesn’t drink tea or coffee so asked for a hot chocolate. He had to pay. We stay overnight often at different hotels. This is the first time we have had to pay for a breakfast drink!

Set in a beautiful location in a historic building with lots of character. The views were stunning, especially from the outdoor heated jacuzzi (the highlight of my visit!). The spa was very good, with a variety of ways to relax and unwind. Staff were very friendly overall, and breakfast was yummy! Room service was good and we were able to enjoy our dinner in our room after relaxing at the spa. I will definitely be back soon.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. Some feedback would be: it felt like a bit of a labyrinth to get from reception to our room and it took a bit of figuring out and a few attempts which caused a lot of laughter between my daughter and I. One staff member in particular was so helpful when he realised we were lost. Perhaps better signage might help.

I loved the spa which was so relaxing, next time I will be booking treatments to go along with the spa facilities. I had never been for a sauna or steam room however they were amazing, and having the water coolers so easily accessible was amazing. I also loved how comfy the bed was, this mixed with the black out blinds ensured I had a fantastic sleep. The staff were also super helpful which helped us be at ease when asking any questions or when we needed help.

We originally had the restaurant booked for dinner but cancelled when we looked at the menu as we are quite bland eaters and the menu was all fancy foods which we wouldn’t eat, also we could have done with a vending machine as we got quite hungry about half 9 but all of the kitchens were closed. However with that being said the positives of the Gleddoch majorly out weigh the very small negatives.
