The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bed was reasonably comfortable. Amply secure parking at the rear and a very good pub adjoined with great food. The breakfast was a feast and lasted us pretty much all-day. The hotel is adjacent the Loch Lommond so very handy for a boat ride or walk around the Loch.

The bathroom layout was a bit awkward with the WC very close to the bath/shower. Our room was overlooking the high street which had contra-flow traffic lights outside my window, so a constant stream of revving cars, trucks and motorbikes which made it quite noisy with the window open. Apart from this, I have nothing to complain about.

After doing the Glasgow Kiltwalk I was happy I booked here before the day! Check in was great, even though the bar was very full I was seen quickly. The room was comfy and big enough for one person, I couldn't figure out how to turn the radiator on in the main room but the towel rack in the bathroom was very warm so It heated the room up quick. The next day I had breakfast and it was a great selection, I chose a cooked breakfast and helped myself to orange juice and coffee.

The radiator in the room didn't seem to work at all, I personally didn't find the bed too comfy, but that's personal taste and nothing to do with the accommodation.

I phoned and emailed in advance to ask if i could store a piece of luggage in my room as i was attending a wedding which started at 2 The check in was 3 to 10,so i only needed the bag held for 1 hoir then put in my room,however i was told there was no room in the hotel to keep a bag, Which meant i had to leave the wedding early and get a taxi down before 10pm to check in Surey common sense would help in future to help residents who travel up for weddings,etc

Everything! This is a fabulous location for visiting Loch Lomond and the surrounding villages. The pub has a fantastic menu to choose from and the outside deck overlooking the loch is an amazing place to enjoy a pint while soaking in the mountain views. This hotel offers free onsight parking and the staff are always on hand to assist with any of your needs. Highly recommend this hotel!!

Great location, super friendly staff, lovely bar and dining area. Nice food. Big room with nice view, comfortable bed and good standard of cleanliness.

The floor in our room sloped so badly that my bottle of perfume slid of the dressing table. Made my partner feel sea sick however I realise it's an old building. The room however was a bit shabby for the price - the door handle had made a hole in the wall and paint was cracked and flaking off wall in area above door into shower room. The shelf in the shower room had been moved but the marks from previous fixing were left unpainted and there was a smell from the drains but we just kept the door shut. These were all things that could be sorted and wouldn't stop me from recommending or staying again.

My Mother and I really enjoyed our nice room with view of the cruise boats. We took the 2 hour cruise and loved every minute! Recommended. We enjoyed a breakfast or brunch every day and had our evening meals twice during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the restaurant area. The staff were very kind and friendly. Perfect location for the best scenic drives ever up Loch Lomond!

The hotel was what we expected - a down to earth, practical, comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price. Room had a nice view and much to our surprise, it was very quiet throughout the evening and night, despite the busy bar downstairs. We slept well. We ate both nights in the restaurant and the food was okay - pub grub at a reasonable price.

The paintwork in the room was grubby and could do with refreshing but the bathroom was spotless. The stairs leading from the bar to the bedrooms were filthy and gave a really bad first impression of what to expect in the rooms. If the stairs were cleaned it would improve first impressions no end.

The location is excellent and the picturesque inn just next to the water. Coming from the ferry at Newcastle to continue to the Isle of Skye, we stayed overnight and had a pleasant walk at the Loch. Very good atmosphere, very friendly host, good English food and beer and nice, quiet rooms. I can warmly recommend it.

Beautiful location, the building was stunning inside. Restaurant food was very tasty and well worth a visit. Staff were very friendly and helpful Rooms were comfortable with a plentiful tea tray. Beds were very comfortable, and despite the terrible storm slept very well. Just wished I could have stayed longer!

It would be better when the scaffolding has been removed, so you can appreciate the building itself, but otherwise nothing to dislike!

Well presented, clean room with a pleasant decor. Beautiful, rustic pub downstairs serving good quality food. The pub was a definite highlight of our stay. We enjoyed two quiet, tasty breakfasts. Well paced, served without a rush- just what we needed to relax and plan the day. Evening meal on saturday was even better! The pub was busy and it had a good atmosphere. The food was georgous.

The room was cold. During our stay the toilet flush broke and we had a plumber working on it in our toilet, which made a bit awkward for us. After an hour or so, we were asked if we wanted to move to another room. We moved and everything was fine. We wished the pub served better coffee ( ground) instead the instant Nescafé.
