The Foresters provides excellent value for money in the centre of Grassington. The room was clean and functional. The meals were particularly good. Excellent cooked breakfast and a wide range of evening meals. The staff were very attentive and helpful. I was warned beforehand that there would be live music in the bar on the Saturday night which was good of them. Car parking can be a bit hit or miss in the centre of the village depending on whether you can find a space somewhere.

It's easy to criticise but as a constructive comment the stair carpet up to the rooms really could do with replacing as it's bordering on dirty and doesn't give a great initial impression to guests.

Really enjoyable stay in the Foresters. Beautifully located in Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales. Friendly staff, great breakfast and comfortable bed. Nice and convenient to be able to pop downstairs for a nightcap before heading up to bed.

The heated towel rail in the bathroom, though it was great for doing its job, was very hot and made the room a bit warmer than we would have liked. I imagine it would be very toasty and welcome in winter, but would be better if it wasn't quite so hot in spring/summer.

The stay was very fairly priced. The staff were incredibly accommodating and made us a packed lunch as we were getting up and leaving before breakfast on one night. The packed lunch was lovely and they still let us have cereal. They warned us that music was on so we brought ear plugs. We were very tired so went to bed but the blues music band was also brilliant. The bed was also very comfortable. The pub was very traditional and in a great location. Grassington was a lovely place.

The room wasn't the cleanest and there was paint flaking in the bathroom. There also wasn't any parking.

Room was well maintained with plenty of coffee, tea etc. It was quiet with no road traffic and even a view of hills beyond. The sky at night from the bedroom window was full of stars and we saw the "plough" quite clearly. Buses run nearby to the villages and stunning countryside in Wharfedale and the bus to Skipton runs from the bus station next to the visitor centre. All very convenient so no need for a car. After an extremely tastey and huge breakfast,which was included, we went by bus and then did some hiking. There are plenty of local walks also from the pub. The pub has a traditional atmosphere and a novel way of serving food from the kitchen; very interesting! All staff were experienced in their jobs. "The Astronomer" who served our breakfast, was especially interesting and friendly. Dinner in the evening was delicious especially the salmon dish. Dogs are allowed in certain parts of the inside rooms which provided some entertainment. There is a snooker table and darts in one area or you can sit quietly next to the open fire. Shops and a small grocery store within walking distance plus a library and a museum so you won't get bored!

Nothing to moan about! We have stayed in hundreds of places in our time and give The Forresters a " thumbs up".

The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was adequate but had lovely 'add ons' such as bottled water and a selection of toiletries. There was a live band (duo) playing Saturday evening. The breakfast was good quality. Grassington in a pretty little village. It was a no frills sort of stay, but, that's what we paid for. We loved it. Highly recommend. The staff made it really, oh, and beautiful walking in Yorkshire ofcourse!

The friendliness of staff..Danny (expert dart player never played before tho 🤣....so he said).dog friendly a bonus!good food and great breakfast!.attentive staff/service ,felt at ease,very good local beers!loved the log fire and our cosy corner by fire..Will definitely come again!!! It is what it is !

Our room slightly noisey later on in night,locals in bar underneath our room..stair carpet very worn,,hot water not very hot,couldnt bath or shower,they were cleaning during our breakfast,could smell bleach and see the cleaner going about her business

The staff at the Forester's were so friendly and made such a fuss of our dog. It is in a wonderful locations with lots of cafes and walks nearby. A great breakfast that sets you up for the day. We also ate here a couple of times and the food was lovely. Amazing value for money

Our room was above the kitchen so was a little noisy in the morning. It didn't bother us as we were already up but something to consider if you like a lay in

Warm welcome with very friendly staff. Excellent location with a variety of shops, bars, restaurants all on the doorstep. The evening we stayed the venue had a live band which was great, my partner and I danced the night away!

Our room looked a little tired and dated, although great size bathroom. Would have been nice to have a dressing table to sit at when doing hair and makeup, and lights were a little dull for getting ready also.

Not touristy, locals pub & football. Friendly staff.Great breakfast, would definitely recommend the liver for evening meal,was supurb.

Nothing really. Not a criticism,just my view , for a few hundred quid new carpet job + £20to £30 per room to lift them would be a good investment. Definitely could up the room rate then for sure,money back in no time

The whole experience at The Foresters was excellent, start to finish,no negatives at all. Neil,Danny and all staff could not be more helpful and welcoming.Locals in the bar terrific
