The location of The Devonshire Fell could not be more perfect. With its elevated position, the views are spectacular. Meals are taken in the dining room or conservatory which both have views of the river and stunning scenery. Breakfast is plentiful with continental and cooked meals. All this is table service by their friendly staff. We had dinner in both the À la cart and Brasserie restaurants and neither disappointed. Beautifully presented with innovative ingredients, the meals were delicious. Again the staff were friendly and informative. A short two minute walk takes you into the pretty village of Burnsall with a pub, a couple of tea shops and an ice cream shop. Sit beside the river with a picnic, with room for children to play on the grass or take a pretty riverside walk to take in the beauty of the scenery.
Nothing.

Staff were brilliant, helpful and professional. Very clean and classy hotel in a beautiful spot.
When I booked on Booking.com it stated 'Dine in for £25 per guest, per night'. However there was only an option for 2-courses at £35 per person or 3 courses at a higher price. It maybe should have been clearer on Booking.com that the spa facilities are 10 minutes away by car. Also, is there any need to send so many e-mails (21 to date, and counting) about the booking? Plus I have also had text messages.

Nice, quiet location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable. Great shower. Complementary tea and coffee was welcome. Spacious dining room. Nice to have breakfast in the conservatory. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant and it was very good. Great choice on the evening and breakfast menus.
There appears not to be a lift (elevator) in the hotel which would make carrying heavy luggage up two flights of stairs challenging for some people.

I thought the Breakfast was really good value for money and delicious. I loved the full English breakfast and choice. The room was very spacious and very comfortable. Views from the top floor annex was across the fell. The views from the front of the hotel were spectacular across the dales and valley.
I was slightly disappointed with the choice of options for dinner. I booked the Dinner/Bed and Breakfast rate. The allowance of £30 towards dinner, didn't really cover much of the food options on the menu.

Staff great, rooms good, food good, views great,
Pillows too hard & there was an annoying electrical hum from outside our room without which it would have been excellent. If your clients avoid room 17 (or the hotel fixes the hum) they will be very happy staying there

The food was first rate and served by friendly and caring staff. We opted for a suite - to have more room and a river view - it did not disappoint. We inadvertently left items behind and were contacted by their housekeeping team and they were obliging and posted them to our home for us.
The two flights of steps up to the room! We could have done with a lift, although staff did carry our luggage up. We could also have done with a bigger fan in the room as it was hot when we visited. The tower fan did not do much.

Location absolutely stunning with lots of beautiful walks using the hotel as a starting point. We ate in the restaurant on our first night - the food was amazing, neither me or my partner could remember enjoying a meal as much in a while (although quite pricey!). Room very comfortable with very well stocked beverage tray. We slept amazingly and felt very well looked after the whole weekend. Staff all friendly and happy to help. Would thoroughly recommend.

Breakfast was good, walked to our table and put in the conservatory with excellent views. Staff were very nice and prompt with our food. Normal items on the menu but cooked well. Location is excellent, exactly what you would expect from a English countryside village.
No signal on your phone or car but the hotel has wifi, room was a little smaller than expected but still nice. Not too many attractions in burnsall but it’s close to other places if willing to travel.

We liked the outstanding location overlooking the fells and in walking distance to the small village centre of Burnsall and to walking in Wharfedale. The friendly and professional service from all members of staff was excellent and appreciated.
The drink prices were on the expensive side- £26 for a double gin and tonic and a medium glass of wine.

The Hotel was very dog friendly with felines allowed in all public rooms other than the Dining Room. Dogs were allowed in the Conservatory where we had dinner and breakfast which actually had a better view of Wharfedale than in the dining room. The staff were all dog friendly as well with lots of treats on offer including a sausage every morning!
Perhaps a slightly greater choice on the a la carte menu but that's all!
