Found this bed and breakfast on booking.com. Booked a two night stay in a king bedroom. We arrived to be greeted by our host who showed us to our room. The room was very nicely painted with a very clean fresh decor. Tea and coffee with a choice of biscuits on offer. Bathroom looked new with a modern clean look. Full enclosed shower which gave a very nice got shower. Each room had its own keys and one for the outside door. Breakfast was cooked fresh and was well presented. Cereals and pastries were also on offer. The host was always available and very accommodating with any requests we had. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the old hall croft barn. Well with a visit. Will return.

Old Hall Croft Barn is located in a quiet spot. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely breakfast, both the cooked and the yogurt and fruit. Carol is very friendly and has lots of local knowledge. We were able to borrow a local map for the duration of our stay. Really close to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal with pleasant tow-path walks.

All was good. One day very rainy, but that was nothing to do with our host!

Accommodation was very modern and spotless, location lovely, carol the host was brilliant and very professional and very accommodating, breakfast was lovely, we are certainly looking forward to going back again and would recommend anyone else to do so, thank you for everything carol.

We had the room which didn't have an ensuite but we were told this by carol before we arrived, next time we would Go would ask for the bigger room with the ensuite.

Good choice of cereals. The cooked breakfast was cooked beautifully. Fruit and yogurt topped with honey was excellent. Lovely toasted home made bread. Very comfortable bed and room. Lovely jars of tea, coffee and sugar as well as sachets. Fresh milk in a little bottle and a large bottle of ice cool water was nice. A jar of nice cookies and chocolates on the side. Lovely quiet location. Carol is a great host, friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely be staying there again.

Beautiful house - garden very pretty with outside seating and the house was really lovely inside. The shower was fabulous with huge shower head and side jets if wanted! The host was very friendly and made us feel welcome and cooked us a very tasty breakfast each morning - we had a choice of breakfast items which was a bonus too!

Nothing to dislike

Near to amenities in Gargrave, but in a quiet area near to the Liverpool-Leeds canal. The property was stylish and beautifully up-kept, light and airy and the proprietor was able to give ideas of how to fill in the wet days, and knew of the local pubs and restaurant. Pleasant garden area to use and enjoy.

Location was perfect - a very short walk to the Leeds/Liverpool Canal towpath, local walks, and all pubs/restaurants in Gargrave. Breakfast was really excellent, fresh ingredients well cooked. Room amenities all good and complemented by Carol, our very welcoming host. Thoroughly recommended.

First class breakfast with quality local produce. Good location in a charming village near to the Leeds - Liverpool canal and with a decent selection of places to eat at night. We particularly enjoyed the Masons Arms near to the River Aire.

Carol is an excellent host and cooked us a lovely breakfast every morning with a range of veggie/ vegan sausages to try and delicious home made bread. You feel very welcome in her home and the room was spacious and clean with all you need for a few nights away. Gargrave itself is ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the village is lovely with a pub serving good food and a great Indian restaurant as well.

On first glance you could see that the property was extremely clean with a lovely garden area. The bed was comfortable and although the room was small, it was cosy with tea and coffee facilities. The large bathroom was next door but just for us which wasn't a problem. Carol was lovely. Warm, friendly and welcoming with a good knowledge of the local area. The full English breakfast was plentiful and set us up for the day.
