The location is perfect, not to far from the town centre but far enough away to have peace and quiet. The rooms are clean with plenty of storage space and the shower is probably one of the best we have had - water always hit and brilliant pressure. Mandy and Martin were friendly and made you feel very welcome. The bar in the hotel is great especially for a final nightcap before retiring for the night. Breakfast was very good with a fabulous selection. All in all a really nice guest house.

Our only gripe was the bed is low and the mattress is very soft. This is more a personal preference I suspect as our bed is higher with a firm mattress. I did struggle to get off the bed as I have an issue with my hips so being low didn’t help.

Our hosts Mandy and Martin were brilliant, they greeted us and made us at home on arrival. No struggling up stairs with your bags, there is a lift. Our room was spacious and very clean and tidy and over looked The local football stadium. The hotel is in a great location to easy walk to most of the historic and pleasure sites: beach, water way gardens and pier just around the corner. Breakfast was a joy, freshly cooked to order and hot. There is a small friendly bar and parking on site. Mandy and Martin were so attentive and for us made our holiday.

There were a few minor points but far out weighted by the facilities.

There was a great choice of cereals, drinks, cooked breakfast done to order. We were treat like friends rather than paying guests, you could have as much or as little as you wanted, extra toast drinks etc were always offered. The staff were on hand but not intrusive.

An outside space to relax would have been the icing on the cake, but it did nit detract from our experience. A comfortable lounge was available at any time. Some times they would join us but this was great for us.

Hosts that certainly went more than the extra mile to help us make the most of our stay(s). We were allowed to keep the mobility scooter in the hotel rather than having to keep assembling and disassembling it to store it in the car, and they even charged the battery for us too! Also, we needed extra pillows for comfort which was no problem. My husband left some clothes in the wardrobe and we didn't notice until we'd been home for a few days, again this was no problem, the items were saved for us. There was an offer to post them to us but it was a good excuse for an extra couple of days at the seaside! Would definitely recommend, and we will be returning.

The property is located near the waterways end of the promenade. With its own spacious car park the property is away from the hustle and bustle but within easy walking distance of Britannia pier and regent road, where you’ll find an array of shops and restaurants. We had three rooms, two double and the large family room which hosts a double bed 2 singles and a bunk. All the rooms were clean and airy with tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite and more than enough storage. The Guest House has a large sitting room with a separate bar. There’s no shortage of things to eat at breakfast with a wide selection of fresh fruit and cereals, fruit juice , toast, jam, marmalade and for those with bigger appetites a full English which is also included all served with a smile. We have stayed at many hotels and guest houses in Great Yarmouth over the years but I would genuinely rate the Arona as the best thus far. We found the hotel to have a welcoming feel with a high level of cleanliness. The property also has disability lift for those guests with mobility problems.

If anything the only thing I’d point to is that the hot water was too hot. In our house we like a hot shower but full on the water was scolding. Perhaps if you can lower the temperature a degree or two it’s safer for the kids and you can save yourselves a few quid on the bill.

Great quiet location near the beach promenade and a pretty park with lake just on the corner of the sea front by the hotel. The owners are very friendly. Our bedroom was spacious and very clean, with the usual tea/coffee facilities a nice side view of the sea. The bathroom was smaller but well equipped. There is a large lounge with a comfy small house-bar and TV next to reception. Your room number is your table number at breakfast ( full English ), so we were lucky and had a window table ( 16 ). The lively part of town is 10/15 minute walk away ( depending on your pace ) and at the far southern end a is a stretch of mini "Las Vegas": loud arcades and funfairs.

Wi Fi was poor in the room, but that may depend on the room locations (?)

Amazing location right on the sea front, off street parking which was a massive bonus. Hosts were friendly polite and couldn’t do enough for you. Access to a fridge and buckets and spades. A lift in the property. Very family friendly all round

Our only very small downside which isnt even that much a deal was the mattress on the bed. As two slightly larger people it was very soft and not supportive it would fully compress on sitting down or laying but we still slept fine so not a massive issue

The hosts were very welcoming, got shown to our room on arrival. It was a lovely spacious room on the front overlooking the sports field. It was clean and beds were comfortable . Plenty of space for clothes etc.......breakfast was lovely.. Plenty of choices. The hosts were always chatty and showed interest in your plans for the day ahead, as well as recommending places to visit. Stayed 4 nights as a much need break. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to go back ...

No... everything was spot on!

Lovely clean rooms, location 5-10minute walk to sea front, once parked up didn’t need to drive for the week. Room was great for a family of 4 didn’t spend too much time in there. Room was always clean and towels replaced most days and bins emptied daily. Bed was very comfy great nights sleep - haven’t slept like that for ages Bar area was nice and friendly with a pool table and no issues with children been in there. Martin and Mandy nothing was too much trouble and always happy to help and very welcoming.. would definitely recommend staying here and when we come back to Great Yarmouth this would be my first choice of hotels lovely stay.

My only issue and weren’t much to moan about and really didn’t effect our stay - room could do with black out curtains - let a bit of light in- nothing too crazy and like I say didn’t effect our stay at all. Maybe some thicker pillows as the ones we had were a little bit flat. Again nothing which effected our stay

The location (only a few hundred yards from the sea front near the fantastic Venetian Water Gardens) and the free car parking made this a perfect choice. The addition of a bar selling drinks at a realistic price and the lift to all floors helped to make it perfect. With a wonderful Breakfast included and a very friendly attitude from the owners this all made this the perfect holiday. Allan

Nothing to dislike other than I would have preferred a harder mattress.
