This is an excellent luxury hotel with all the historical information associated with Tim Martin's empire. Rooms massive, bigger than most flats down South. Usual combination of cheap quality ale and food associated with Wetherspoons.

The car park is owned and policed by Trans Pennine because it is Grimsby Town station. The three disabled car parking slots were occupied by the same three cars for a week. Obviously MCR airport bound punters getting free parking for their trip to Benidorm. The outside table smoking/vaping area needs to be monitored more closely. Benches and seats need to be mopped of rain water so that customers can sit down and buy stuff. From a maximisation of profit point of view, this establishment is very poorly managed. Sorry Tim.

The building is an old traditional Victorian style building with many features and parts which are quite stunning. Downstairs you have a Wetherspoons pub which was handy for food and drinks. The room was clean and standard for the price. There was an iron and ironing board, surprisingly the iron worked very well. There were also coffee and tea making facilities and a hairdryer is also provided. My room had a modern walk in shower which was clean and pleasant. The staff were incredible. Friendly, pleased to help and very approachable. I forgot my key card which is needed to use the lift and access the hotel floors, and had no trouble finding help to get back into my room. Housekeeping would come round everyday and did a fantastic job. The location was ideal for me as it is in the middle of Grimsby town centre, close to all the shops and offices.

The lift was unclean and had a terrible musty smell. Some of the patrons of the pub were a bit “unsavoury” at night times. Although I didn’t have any trouble. On the Tuesday night the pub opposite the hotel had some kind of rave music blasting throughout the night until around midnight . All other nights were peaceful and quiet considering we were in the town centre.

The room was really clean and tidy. Good tea/coffee facilities in the room. The guy on check in was really helpful on check in and all staff were friendly. I had to travel for 7 hours the next day so the hotel were good at helping me make sure I had somewhere to hang around while I waited for my train which was really good as my train was cancelled.

My breakfast sandwich had to go back as it had been left under a hotplate and toasted one slice of the bread but they sorted it straight away so it wasn't an issue in the end. Other than that, there wasn't anything I didn't like. It far exceeded my expectations.

The price was more than I have paid in past I know everything as gone up was more than I expected but I had a good stay room was like so many times before . Will I come again .I would love too but will admit if price rise again I may have to look elsewhere. I may need to book a night in Aug . Defo in March next year for at least two nights . Always a pleasure. Just the price making rethink

The price rise .but I know prices are rising, I have explained in the other box . If I need to book a second room becomes a bit much and some times I may need to . Which when I went Chester found cheaper to rent a house for two nights

Really nice and big rooms with plenty of space. Exceptionally big and modern bathrooms as well (we had two rooms, one with a tub and one with a stepless shower). Having a pub downstairs is a great benefit if you, like us, arrive late and tired and just need some food. Oddly enough where we were on the first floor you could not hear the pub downstairs, more the pub across the road. Although there is no direct parking next to the hotel - except for the station short stay car park there were a few more carparks just a few hundred meters away, so that was also quite good.

The hotel is above and next to pubs, so it can be a bit noisy depending on where the room is facing but the rooms are fitted to help with reducing noise as best as they can.

Room Size. Cleanliness of the room i liked.Spacious and great value for Money. Lovely large Power shower, but Bath sheets should be supplied and more towels,as were only towels for one.

Inspected sheets were clean but did notice a hair, @the top of the bed ,the hair was on both sides of the sheet,in exactly the same place at the top on the left and right of the bed Was a little off putting. Maybe staff should wear a hair net,and check sheets are clean @fresh when changing bed sheets,Which in my opinion should be done after each guest but when you encounter this you feel they may have skipped changing the bed sheets,Which should never be allowed to happen they should be kept fresh and laundered after each guest stay. Loud Music from night club,1 suggestion i would like to make for an upgrade,is noise insulation i think the hotel could benefit from this and given the allocated rooms could command more money for the rooms which are to a high standard.

Excellent train link with excellent parking reasonably priced although not owned by weatherspoons. But better for instance than the parking at Bury premier inn which was £12.50 per day compared to £20 per week here. Brilliant room with ample complimentary refreshments, great to have the Iron and ironing board in room unlike the premier inn. Large bath with separate walk in shower as another option was superb. Around I would give it a good 9 out of 10.

Not much to dislike I would have to be very picky to leave a negative comment here.

A beautiful building with so many original features. There's a lift to all floors. Guests use their door key to operate the lift. Rooms large, beautifully decorated, large bathroom with a huge shower. Kingsize bed, comfy and with two pillows each. Maid service every day. Clean towels daily and anything you run out of is replenished. Plenty of USB ports, mirrors, hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room. Staff are a great team, cheerful and efficient. Food and drink served all day until 11pm.

Can't think of anything.

we like the layout of the bathroom. the idea of having the shower controls away from the shower head is brilliant. The sit down stand up toilet rolls are again for me the 'man' great. the coffee tea maker great with a decent size kettle. We think the 'conversion' to the hotel from what is was has been thought out very well. The only down side was the view from the room, which looked very 'run down' ( being very polite) But realise the state of Grimsby from the top UK fishing industry to none!

See above the outlook.

It was easy to find. Parking was easy! Park behind the Yarborough Hotel, there is a train station (Grimsby) Plenty car-park spaces. £5 per day to park. Don't need car to get to places, shopping centre and lots of takeaways, restaurants and pubs are minutes away. The Yarborough Hotel Wetherspoon is clean and comfortable. You can get lost in the hotel! 🤣😂 it has lots of corridors. I have my favourite room number, next time I book. Hopefully it's the same room I request.

Nothing much to grumble about .... It can get noisy late at night with the pub near by playing music and drunk idiots! It's not wetherspoon fault! Get yourself earplugs or before you book, ask for a quiet room.
