Rooms were nice but would have appreciated the family room having a king size and twin bed option, rather than 2 king size. Function room for the wedding venue was beautiful as was the outside area.

Staff member was very passively rude and dismissive. Slamming doors shut to prevent wedding guests from being able to access the main bar from outside, whistling loudly in the bar when people were trying to have conversations and just generally had a demeanour of not enjoying his job or the satisfaction of the customers he was serving. Room was terribly warm and no fans available to cool it down.

All the meals at the Hotel were great, breakfast was made to order so the food was always hot. Evening meals were excellent with good portions and cooked to perfection.

We had a room with walk in shower, which was what we asked for, but the pressure of the shower was poor and there was not one shelf in the entire bathroom to put any thing, this was a major inconvience with having to put shampoo, gel etc on the floor. Even the sink had nowhere to put toothpaste, shaving gear etc. But it was immaculately clean all over.

We met up with friends, also staying at the hotel, for dinner the first night- 7 of us and a 7 month old baby. Meal wAs beautifully cooked and served by friendly staff who helped kick our weekend off

We came for a Wedding held in the hotel. Arrived Friday night, very good dinner, Saturday breakfast was very good - choice of fruits and cereals etc followed by cooked to order hot dishes. Food at the Wedding was excellent with staff all on top form. Sunday morning breakfast was a sad help yourself buffet affair. Such a let down! Only as good as your last meal guys!!!

lovely garden and pond area. nice bar. food was good and menu very good- tempted by so many dishes. staff mostly friendly but one of the breakfast staff was “cooler” and almost disinterested at times.

the rooms were boiling hot, even with the windows open. And someone who was presumably a staff member or possibly even the owner, drove up every morning outside our room near the electric chargers in a Porche which was SO loud and revved and idled it for several minutes before entering the hotel by the back fire exit whose door crashed shut with such a bang it was shudderingly loud as well. such inconsiderate behaviour for a staff member or owner… and they were starting work at SIX am!!!

Spacious clean room , prompt on responding when I called reception

The fact that I had booked and paid for a room with two kingsize beds and I was given a room with a King and a single bed, I went to reception and asked for what I had paid for - not ok . It was rectified promptly but not ok being given a down grade. Some people would not feel confident to challenge this , please ensure people get what they pay for

Staff were amazing very friendly and helpful from checking in to checking out, Food amazing with extensive menu, Breakfast was excellent, good choice, excellent service and great breakfast area, ideal start to the day. Choice of breakfast cooked and continental, very tasty and well presented. Large areas in bar and restaurant , great decor, Room was quiet and all mod cons, with excellent bathroom and TV, and outside garden feature with small Lake and nesting Duck, certainly will return when in the area. Well done to everyone at the Hotel !

Have travelled for over 20 years in Hotels and can not think of one thing that could have been improved.

Great friendly hotel, with a good restaurant in a handy location. Bed was comfortable and the shower was fantastic (nearly took the skin off )

I made the mistake of booking a small double room, although it is not too small, my negative is the windows open onto the alleyway of the kitchen so got the sound of the kitchen fans and smell of cooking. the room was too warm to keep the windows shut. For a few quid more book the large double, my colleague did and it was fantastic.

The room was lovely, really spacious, comfortable bed and an amazing Aqualisa shower. The food in the restaurant is well presented and tastes superb. Baby ribs are delish. Best are the staff. They are all friendly and professional in their approach and always kern to help. We love our little breaks there . Home from home.

Nice and easy to find and good parking. We were there on a Sunday and had a late afternoon Sunday roast which was lovely and the late serving through 7pm allowed us for once to arrive in time. The room was very comfortable and had everything as described. The inclusion of a breakfast was great as was the food.

Nothing was even vaguely disappointing.

The room was very spacious and beautifully clean. I liked the walk in shower rather than a shower over a bath. The room was also really quiet, so often hotels are located on busy roads. Dinner was excellent, i can't eat potatoes and the dish i picked contained potatoes however the chief happily adapted the recipe to produce a really tasty curry without any potato- greatly appreciated. The staff were all friendly and cheerful, happy in their work which is such a tonic.

Pillows were a little hard.
