The ambiance, the ease of access from the Motorway. The staff.

I was disappointed that they did not have a working and viable kitchen. The owners need to buck up and deal with the problems they have with it - or they will never have a chance to provide evening meals or lunch and so increase their value to customers. The breakfast, continental was a poor reflection of what it should be like. They need to up their game with disability and accommodate individuals with ground floor rooms, ease of access. The staff however were extraordinary and very helpful. But this should not get the owners off the hook to deal with these infringement’s.

The staff from arrival until departure were so incredibly helpful, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. A special shout out to Dionne on Reception who was an absolute star, the Hotel are extremely lucky to have such a dedicated team, Destiny, housekeeping and the gentleman on the bar couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. Great location for exploring many beautiful parts of Yorkshire.

The beautiful grounds to the hotel need tending too. lovely areas to sit (especially the quadrant which is a sun trap) but badly needs weeding… wouldn’t take much to make it lovely. No chef at present but lots of great quality places to eat nearby recommended by Dionne.

My Wife and I both said that we would score the Hotel 9 out of 10 and had the Restaurant been open I am sure it would have been 10 out of 10 - the staff kindly booked us into the New Inn in Sowood which was excellent - the room in the hotel was very clean and comfortable , it was also lovely and warm - the staff were very friendly and helpful and it is a place we will be booking again in the future ! A+++++ experience !!

The only thing was that the restaurant was not open, otherwise a faultless experience , overall a very pleasant experience

The staff was lovley! The site promoted a room as a family room when it wasn't and the manager was lovley and it wasn't an issue for him to sort out for us was moved to a family room straight away without an issue. The rooms were spotless and lovley and warm right round the building considering there were inches of snow outside! Only issue we had was we woke up too late for breakfast ! 🤣 honestly would recommend to everyone the staff was so wss nice and perlite will most definetly be coming back!

location excellent, staff exceptional, rooms had plenty space, very clean and tidy.

showers were not good, poor water pressure, could have done with catering but the staff were helpful in pointing us all in the right direction and assured us catering will be available next time. garden out front could do with a little tlc but it is a work in progress. would highly recommend staying here.

We had arranged prior and after booking an early check-in due to going to a wedding, but on arriving at the agreed time we were told are rooms where not ready for another hour .This was sorted out very quickly but just added a bit more stress for a short period.

Well, booking.com had only booked us 1 room for the night the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us we didn't get the double rooms we asked for but managed to get 2 twin rooms as it was o ly for the 1 night it was OK

How booking.com didn't give the hotel our full details as we wanted 2 double rooms We will be looking else where from now on

The hotel was having some issues with kitchen facilities, but it was fully explained at reception and the beer at the bar made up for it. The water is hot in bathroom is fantastic.

Room was warm and with being close to main road it was noisy early morning, but as I live in rural location it may be ok for others.

Very good value hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. The twin room we had was one of the nicest rooms Iv stayed in with a clean spacious en-suite.

The breakfast was basic but that is only due to fact that the hotel has only recently opened and they don’t have a kitchen/restaurant up and running yet but we were informed that this is in progress and I have no doubt it will be very good.

Not a dislike, but knew when we booked that the kitchen was limited to a continental breakfast and no cooked food as it was getting work done on it. A few little touch up needed with decorating but nothing that spoilt the stay
