Being welcomed by the owner was a plus and knowing I had her phone number in case of difficulties, being a woman on my own, was good. It was very accessible to the town and the station on foot. I appreciated having my bed made & room cleaned in between the days of my stay. The room was very quiet, so I was able to sleep well.

Wifi didn’t work, so I couldn’t watch the TV. A woman tried to get into the main entrance without a key. There was a sign saying: Don’t let anyone in without a key. She was a bit rude to me, because I wouldn’t let her in as I was going out for the evening.

My 2nd stay at the townhouse and a different room. Both of the rooms I spent the nights in were spotless and fresh smelling clean bed linen and towels . Again the bed was comfortable. I was greeted by the manager Joan this morning and she is such a people's person. She feels like you've known her for years. It's very homely and I can not fault anything. As a carer from abroad who works in the UK I've spent many a night in the premier inns ect and this beats them. I think they manager and her team should be very proud of themselves 10/10

Nothing. Could not find fault with anything

Great location, only minutes walk from centre of town, but still quiet. Cheap parking in the car park opposite. Comfortable, clean and reasonably priced.

Showers (or at least the one I used on the 1st floor) was a bit cold, although this wasn’t a problem with the one in my daughter’s room. Also the timers on the motion detector controlled lights in the bathroom were set to around 10 seconds, meaning that if you don’t keep moving then it suddenly gets very dark in there! Good energy saving but 30 seconds to a minute would be better.

I had a room on the first floor facing the back yard. Despite the hot weather it was nice and cool, because the blind were always drawn. Extremeely big and spacious room with plenty of storage space. Good lighting, even suitable for longer reading at night, this is rare feat! The bathroom right across the landing was also spacious and easy to use. When checking in the house manager was present, which made it more personal and pleasant.

There was a problematisch with the shower in the room, it was dripping very heavily and I could not get it to stop. The house managers offered to move me to a different room, but I had already fully unpacked when I noticed, so I decided to stay put. It turned out rather pleasant, as in the woods with a little stream trickling nearby. Operating the shower proved impossible for me, especially with soapy hands: I could not turn the normal shower on. So I chose the more spacious shower in the bathroom following this experience.

It was easy to speak to the owner who was very helpful and a lovely lady. On arrival i was greeted by a very helpful young lady. The room was very clean and had everything in that you need. I loved the fact that towelling dressing gowns were provided as well as towels and toiletries as it saves carrying so much. It is just a short walk from the train station and the town. There is a tv and fridge in the room .

Nothing.

This was an unexpected accommodation search due to rail strike and unable to get beyond Huddersfield at 19:00hrs. Discount rate which was unexpected at such short notice. the owner allowed a late check in and entry to building and room was via telephone discussion. the entrance hall and the stairs of three flights were very well decorated, clean and well carpeted. the room on the top floor was a double bed room which was not large but not cramped either. kettle and coffee, tea, milk and sugar all provided. the room also had a small fridge. Small vanity base unit and hot and cold water. the bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean and decorated well.

the room did not have it’s own shower or toilet. Not sure if other rooms have these but certainly Room 5 did not. shared spacious shower/bathroom with toilet - decorated well and very clean. shower was okay could have been a bit hotter;sink hot water was very good. if you have large or/and heavy luggage it is quite a pull to get your luggage to the top floor- suggest check with owner what room/floor you are on 5,6,7 are on the top floor.

It was clean and tidy not to far from the venue we were attending. Staff were helpful and pleasant and even moved us to a downstairs room

No toilet but the there was one near our room and bars on the windows if there was a fire in the hall we would have had an escape route but I understand why they were there as it was a big window on the back. Otherwise than that it was perfect for our requirements x

The location was perfect for the celebration we were attending. The bedroom was warm and welcoming and had everything we needed for our stay, including a fridge and a fan. The bed was wonderfully comfortable with lovely sheets and pillow cases. The bathrooms were clean, fresh and well equipped.

That there wasn’t a bathroom/ toilet on our floor.
