Friendly welcoming staff that made me feel at home. Also appreciate the flexibility of late check in and late check out, which is very important for me. The property is well maintained and clean, and a lovely place to stay at.

The location was stunning, surpunded by a couple of close vicinity. Stunning scenery around, with lots of large hills and animals (mostly sheep), the staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly, and would help with every need. They are always available for emergancies 24hr however not always on site (live close by).

Unfortunately the lodge is very limited on food as there is no kitchen on site. This means that the food available is for the majority cold. With one or 2 paninis available. This being said there was alot of pastries and cakes available. They also advice you of their sister hotel (which i cant comment on, we didnt go), which has a kitchen and a cooked breakfast available when prebooked at the the lodge.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lodge and while there were a few areas that could use some enhancement, the overall experience was quite enjoyable! First and foremost, the staff were very friendly and throughout our stay we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests, making us feel at home We particularly enjoyed the cozy common areas, which were perfect for relaxing or chatting with fellow guests. We did experience some discomfort with the bed during our stay with the room space small but it was clean and well-maintained, providing a nice view of the environment to unwind after a day of exploring. We also appreciated the little touches, like the complimentary toiletries and the well-stocked coffee and tea As for the food options, we found the limited menu to be a bit of a challenge but the food was good, it also encouraged us to explore the local dining scene. The hotel does offer a few tasty breakfast items, such as fresh pastries and coffee. Whilst we chose to have a very good hearty cooked breakfast at the sister pub a few mins away we would love to see a bit more variety in the dining options for those who prefer to dine in

Amazing welcome from lovely staff. The accommodation is well maintained clean and comfortable. At this price point the room size was reasonable and well appointed. Good shower. Location - for us was perfect. Excellent walks from the doortep, pub that served excellent food within a mile and Keswick a short drive away. Great on site coffee shop. Continental breakfast was fresh with plenty of choices and excellent coffee. Dog friendly as well. Quiet location but easy to find. Plenty of parking. Staff were welcoming and very helpful.

Nothing. We got a bit of road noise early Saturday because our window was open and I only mention it for accuracy. I would not hesitate to stay again (and in fact have booked again!)

The location was perfect, the staff went above and beyond, and it was clean and comfy. There was only continental breakfast served on site, although cooked breakfast could be ordered the night before and involved nipping down the road to the King's Head Inn, two minutes drive or ten minutes walk away. The Continental breakfast was generous enough for us not to bother. The coffee shop stays open until 9 every night for drinks and light snacks. It is a small 15 bed lodge with a family feel, and a modern aspect, lovely skylights to let in both light and the view.

Some very slight cosmetic things, like worn paint on the radiator and a dodgy seal on the shower head, but those are not terribly important.

A really nice little hotel that punches well above its weight. Super convenient location very close to some key Lake District spots and with public transport links for those who need it. Ample parking, decent breakfast and really nice staff. Found the bed really comfy, the room and hotel as a whole very clean, and a nice modern shower compared to some of the more old fashioned styles I've encountered before in the Lake District.

The single room was a real bargain at the price but it really is tiny so I wouldn't pay any more than I did. Breakfast could do with a self-serve coffee machine to make life a bit easier and the single mug in the room was pretty tiny! This is nitpicking though.

Lovely hotel, coffee shop within the hotel which is open till late (9pm) and licensed for alcohol too. Perfect location for us as we were between Ambleside and Keswick, plus the added extra of perfect postion for some stargazing. Beds comfortable, couldn't work out to turn heating off at first but soon found it as we were melting. Staff all lovely and helpful, very icy and frosty the following morning and the bank out of Car park had been gritted which was a great help with the cars. 24hour emergency help available if needed from the house next door. Netflix available on the TV if you have a log in (just remember to log out).

Nothing major however Room 8 - sink was very loose on the wall. Location was great however you can hear vehicles passing on the slip road and main A road outside but did not affect us in the slightest.

The location was the highlight for us. As soon as you walk out the hotel, you are greeted with great views in every direction. It was a good place for the dogs, but you could tell it was one of few places to stay that allowed pets, as their were quite a few dogs walking around.

Food options at the hotel where good, but minimal. My partner is a vegan and there were no options for her. We was made aware of the pub down the road for evening meals and breakfasts which we didn't try in the end, but other than that, it was a 10/15 minute drive for other options. Also, I would of preferred a softer bed myself. But my partner was fine with it. So, this is more along the lines of preference.

Nice quiet room and friendly staff that checked us in. Very nice location for some hikes and is between some of the main towns in central Lake District. Was also very close to one of the trails up Helvellyn. Good facilities for after hours access and security. On-site parking at the rear of the accommodation. Bed was quite comfortable and allowed for a good sleep after a few long days of hiking the area.

Honestly not much. Just some squeaky floors in the corridor next to the room. Hopefully didn't disturb anyone if we came in a bit later than others.

Loved the breakfast choice in the nice coffee shop. Nice to be able to take our 2 pets to breakfast with us Great stay thanks

Nothing we were made very welcome really nice friendly staff Because I have a disability issue & was allocated a room on the higher floor But having spoken to a member of staff I was given a ground floor room which was bigger than we needed also the wet room was a bonus. So all around it was a very good stay Much thanks to staff at the lodge in the vale. For being so accommodating.
