Friendly reception.Preorder form for a super efficient breakfast service.Landlady(Sorry I forgot your name) offered to plate up a takeaway to eat on premises. No food service available Sunday evenings unfortunately. All staff super friendly and efficient pleasant people. Well kept beer and a comfy bed.No unwanted light in room,so had a great night’s sleep.11:00Hrs. Check out available if you don’t need to rush off in the morning. An ideal stopover on The Coast to Coast walk. Can highly recommend to anyone!

Can’t think of anything.

Nice room (with a fan) and view over market sq. The lady who checked us in I think her name was Jules deserves a pay rise…she has all the customer service skills required to encourage return visit. The young lady at breakfast was also nice.I would recommend the Pennine hotel and would rebook.

The earliest breakfast was 8am which is a tad late for those on C2C. This has been our experience in most hotels/B&B accommodation though IMO. A laundry service would also be helpful as the only laundromat in town was closed.

breakfast was good both days... bathroom had all the extras soap / shampoo etc. single room with bathroom on landing very good as it wasnt shared ...

wifi downstairs was ok upstairs was a complete waste of time.... very limited tv channels so poor wifi meant couldnt watch movies on wifi etc... secondly... because my room did not have ensuite i had to go into the hall way right in front of both doors is massive light that is motion censored it came on everytime i went to the loo...

Breakfast and evening meals were both fantastic. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The room was very spacious and homely and we both loved the free standing bath and large bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

The taps in the bathroom were difficult to work, and it was difficult to find the right mix of hot and cold to shower with. A very minor nit-pick, didn't have any problems with our stay. My wife is 6 months pregnant, and she was delighted with the time we spent there, relaxing before the baby comes.

We were in Kirkby Stephen for a wedding. Book in was quick + efficient Friendly staff, room was clean + comfortable. We had dinner the first night and had breakfast both morning and it was all very tasty.

The room was hot (due to the weather but when we said to staff, they immediately gave us a fan. They were so attentive to our needs and nothing was too much bother. Maybe a thinner duvet but this isn't a complaint and was really happy with accommodation.

We stayed for two nights in Room 3 which is a deluxe king room. The room was extra spacious, with a huge window overlooking the high street. It had everything you needed for a short stay. The bathroom was well equipped and the shower was fabulous -always a bonus! An English breakfast was freshly cooked to order and there was plenty of cereal, toast, juice etc available as well.

A later breakfast option! Breakfast ends at 930am.

Very nice hotel in the centre of Kirby Stephen. Our room on the top floor was very spacious the decor and furnishing was of a very high standard. The en-suite bathroom was also very spacious with a free standing bath with shower. In the morning we had a superb breakfast with plenty of choice which and was served in the hotel resturant.

The only criticism was the bath which incorporated the shower had no shower curtain. There was a polite notice warning not to get any water on the floor which could run through the floor below, this is easier said than done, its very hard to take a shower without it splashing on the floor.

the huge room was potentially very good but let down by things like no shower/ bath safety handles, no coat hooks on doors, no closed wardrobe, no comfortable chairs, writing table, details but they spoilt the experience. Food was good and beer excellent and service friendly.

no internet in the room had trouble logging on. See above for what we didn't like plus bathroom ceramics floor tiles cracked broken some tlc required around the edges sealant etc.

The location was ideal for the reason that I stayed. The room was comfortable with all the usual extras provided room. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable of the town and area.

Not really much to say as the stay was comfortable. It maybe something for the future, but a shower unit could be fitted in the bathroom. Who has a bath theses days? some still do but many don't, probably more eco friendly for a shower (uses less water, in most cases)

Quaint hotel rooms, lovely staff, very good value for money- I’d received a free upgrade when I arrived so was even better! I was worried I was going to be out after closing time but was informed I could return at any point using the keys provided which was great as wanted to see my friends a little bit longer so wasn’t restricted for time! Lovely breakfast too!

I loved everything about the property but the only advice I would suggest would maybe be some curtains as well as the blinds, I think the room I was staying is was directly next to a street lamp so the room was light the whole night despite blinds being down.
