Room was spacious and had the facilities that was required. Extra tea /coffee was requested and no problem in supplying. Asked if wanted room service every day or on certain days which was also good.

Had an issue where my 8 year old forgotten her room number, and reception staff said that they couldn't help. Had quite a distress girl as thought she was lost. Did report this to reception staff who apologised and explained that they had previous experience of kids coming into the hotel pretending to be guests and then attempting to steal said room etc. Asked if reception couldn't have phoned to verify whether my dauthter was a true guest or not would. Otherwise Holiday Inn was good with customer service

Lovely spacious rooms. The pool is great and the staff are really friendly although I feel it should have been re-tiled it's now like lino and it's lifting up already and looks badly finished off around the edges. Love that dogs are welcome.

Feel the Pool should have been re- tiled during refurbishment as it's one of the hotels best features. Didn't Cigarette's at the front of the hotel. Smoking should be away from the kids park and front of house. Free bottled water in the room would be a bonus.The jacuzzi hasn't been opened on both of our trips the last two years we were there.

All of the staff we encountered were super friendly, and extremely helpful. Indeed a couple of staff members went above and beyond. The rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and showers were hot and powerful. Gym and pool area facilities were also great.

Bar closed at 10.30pm on a Saturday night which seemed quite early for Hotel. Didn’t appear to be enough staff on at breakfast and in the breakfast area. The hotel was exceptionally busy and many breakfast items ran out and/or were not topped up as quickly as they perhaps ought to have been and some areas didn’t have condiments etc on the tables consequently there was a slight delay obtaining them. That being said the staff which were on duty were polite, friendly and tried to be accommodating. In my opinion - not really a staff problem but more a staffing problem.

Very easy check in and check out. Great little swimming pool. Nice location to explore the city. Comfortable room and the sofa bed was actually OK for an adult to sleep on!! Nice friendly staff too.

Our air conditioning wasn't working and even when it was reported it wasn't seen to. The breakfast service was a bit chaotic and considering its price I did expect a little bit more. None of the coffee machines were working so i had to have sashets of nescafe. The tables were not being turned over quickly enough, so we had to sit on high stools in the bar area which with a toddler is not ideal! Many of the breakfast items were out of stock however the selection was wide and tasty.

It was ideally located near the park and ride and therefore had a regular bus service into the city. It was well laid out and had good facilities including the health centre.

The rear patio seating area has a pleasant outlook and should be ideal for sitting out on a pleasant summers evening. However there are 2 huge trees that throw the whole area into shadow and make it cool and gloomy. If those trees are on hotel property and not subject to a tree preservation order then cut them down and if wanting to be green plant some smaller species in alternate location where they won’t block the sun.

Nice rooms with were light and airy. The bed was huge and very comfy. Everything was clean and functioning. The hotel was quiet and spacious with easy parking and close to the motorway. With a bus stop outside and a regular service into town, it makes a good location to explore Lancaster. There is a foot path into town that runs along the river for the more energetic.

The dining menu was expensive and limited . Nothing really floated our boat. Would recommend you cross the road to the chain pub for a better value meal. Didn't like the telly not working well and not having normal terrestrial or FreeView. The cable operator kept dropping out and no access to iplayer etc.

There is a short mature waitress with a ponytail who seems always on duty. She is extremely professional and always pleasant. A great asset to your hotel. I always saw her at breakfast or in the bar. Reception were delightful as were the rest of the team. Management look very untidy and should look smarter in the evenings. Maybe wear a jacket as in years gone by with Holiday Inns. I explained I had mobility problems and my room was perfect being next to the lift (2008) then my car by the front door. Wonderful.

The room was very clean and comfortable, the bar area was quiet and comfortable. I did not have a breakfast as i needed to check out early, but i have only praise for this hotel. Well done.

When booking it was obvious that the price of all hotels in Lancaster has risen for the days when Students where getting their university awards and relatives where visiting. I can understand the principals of supply and demand, but I could have got the same room a week later for 2/3 of the price. For this reason I have scored lower on Value for Money.

Well located just off the motorway affording easy access North and South. Pool and gym facilities are really good There is quick access to the River Lune path with magnificent aqueduct built in 1797. The short walk is 2.5km and passes McDonalds for a coffee. The bar area is comfortable and family friendly. The staff are polite and helpful.

The bathroom tap/waste trap on the bath is faulty. The room did not have a fridge and the television was strangely tuned with a mix of broadly irrelevant channels and radio. The full range of spa facilities was not available again.
