It was quiet and comfortable, the bed was good. Breakfast was extra $ (which we were aware) and the breakfast had a wide range of choices to suit anyone. Good access to the airport, free parking. Close to a large shopping centre either driving or footpaths,

Apparently, due to a tour, the dinner menu was very limited and the kitchen closed early to non-tour guests. There was no beer 'on tap' in the bar (bottles only). We were made aware of this at check-in, so we weren't surprised and planned accordingly. Overall, the facility had a dated look (although it was clean and comfortable).

My husband was in St.John's Hospital for surgery and that's why I was staying close by. All the staff were very helpful and supportive especially when I found out they had been unable to perform the surgery and was upset. I had to cancel the extra night I'd booked but it was no problem. All staff said if there was anything they could do for me to just let them know which I really appreciated. 2 staff in particular went above and beyond their duties - Rebecca on reception and Clara in the Brasserie. They both deserve an award for their excellent customer service! I would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.

The only problem was the bar/lounge area was quite cold. I know they had heating problems with it being -7° outside.

Nice enough modern hotel, food reasonable including nice cooked breakfast buffet. Plenty of parking and fairly convenient for motorway network.

Coffee - why oh why use such low grade coffee? It seems to be the same machine used uniformly across Accor brands and is just plain nasty. You may have a "good deal" with the company but there's a reason it's cheap. How can a French brand fail to provide half decent espresso for breakfast?

Restaurant and bar Staff - attentive, hospitable and helpful, several stood out: Clara, Declan the chef and Lewis Breakfast was excellent Room spotlessly cleaned daily

Delay receiving package delivered on last day of stay. Miscommunication at staff changeover on reception - caused panic and lateness getting cab to airport

The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was also excellent, great range of food and everything kept topped up.

If I had to complain it would be the cost. I did feel it was a little expensive, even though we enjoyed our stay the hotel itself is slightly tired. I must add though it was very clean.

I've stayed overnight at this hotel before, so knew what to expect. The purpose of my visit this time was to meet up with friends from France arriving at Edinburgh airport and having an overnight stay. They said their rooms were comfortable and they slept well. The night staff were especially helpful in finding an extension lead and a UK to continental adaptor, and in serving us drinks at the bar quite late. Breakfast is buffet style, with a large variety of cereals, pastries, toast, fruit and traditional cooked items. The WiFi was remembered on my laptop and connected immediately. It is free and the connection solid.

I can't really find anything to criticise. The hotel is not a five-star luxury establishment, but you would pay an awful lot more for that. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and are an asset to the establishment.

Comfortable base for a wedding venue, size of ceremony room and reception room ideal. Very friendly and attentive staff in all areas. Food quality good, excellent choice and service of drinks. Great breakfast, though freshly brewed coffee would be a plus.

A little tired in places...some of the chairs need replacing and the decor/ facilities in one of our two rooms was substandard ( no hot water in the morning, shower over the bath very difficult to set the water temperature ), reception area a little chilly.

Staff member Becky changed our room to a ground floor one when she noticed my wife walking with a stick. That was just the start of a great one-night stay, and I hope we'll need to visit the hotel again.

The armchair in our room could use re-covering, but that wouldn't stop us visiting again.

Location was perfect.

No lifts, When you have been traveling for 5 weeks, the last thing you want to do is take a big heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs. I did a moan,so the staff did kindly take it up.But when leaving, I carried it down.
