This was our first stop after flying over from Canada, so it was a great spot to recover from the jetlag. The restaurant was good and the location was convenient for going to check out the town and to get to the bus stop.

We would have preferred two beds as we are friends traveling together and two rooms was too expensive, but we learned that this is not a common thing in the UK. I would say this was one of the nicest rooms we stayed in.

The Staff were PHENOMENAL! This was my very first of just a 2 day visit ever to the country of Scotland. I made my reservation as a spontaneous online booking at the airport for this small town I had never heard of before for 2 reasons. First, it was economically sound for my limited budget/time and second, Best Western was a trusted familiar name to me. Once I arrived onsite I knew I had made the right choice. From the moment I walked in, my reception at the Front Desk by Mrs. Zoe was very welcoming using my name, with a sincere sense of warmth and appreciatively accommodating. Even Mr. Pedro in the restaurant/pub was great too when I came back down after settling in for a meal.

I was only at this location for 1 night. Would have loved to stay longer!

Everything was satisfactory - quite pricey for the standard, but it was very near the location I needed to be for work the following day. The A705 is quite a busy road and the hotel is on a traffic light junction - I was very glad I was in a room at the back of the property otherwise the road noise would have kept me awake.

See above re road noise if you get a front facing room.

I find it very difficult to fault this hotel. The checking in, the rooms, the staff were all exceptional. The thing that really topped it was the Bar / Restaurant. The fact that it is used by local people speaks volumes for me. It's not your average "Dull" Hotel Bar. The Bar and Restaurant staff were great fun, I was there alone for 2 weeks but always found someone there to chat too. I didn't feel the need to stay in my room. Would I return? Of course I would. Even if it was only for a night out. Thank you all at Bar One O Eight for helping to make my stay an enjoyable experience.

I had the cooked breakfast which was more than adequate for me. All the staff were friendly, polite and made me feel welcome. Shower was perfect temperature without needing adjustment. Good tea/coffee facilities in room. I chose the beef pie for my evening meal and that was well cooked and the right size. My room was at the end of the corridor and I heard no one else (although there were plenty staying at the Hotel that night).

The wifi didn't work for me because I could not log on. (Not a big issue as I could use my phone as a wifi hotspot and I was only here for one night). When checking out I discovered this was an issue with Apple devices and there was a workaround but I didn't have time to confirm that was the case.

The breakfast was very nice with a good choice. The location for us suited our needs. The EV charge points were a bonus. The parking was plentiful. The staff were really friendly and just could not do enough for you.

It would have been more charge points. One other thing about the charge points was the space needs to be a bit wider as cars like mine charge from the side so the adapter is poking out. Plus the fact that I’m disabled and need the door opened quite wide to get in.

Lovely, clean, spacious. Wonderful helpful staff Very nice restaurant on site, great breakfast. 20 minute drive to the park and ride tram we took into Edinburgh every day. Was so convenient to spend pur days in Edinburgh.

There was nothing I didn't like about this place.

Hotel staff all very welcoming. Our room was large with a big comfortable Bed and was very clean. Dinner and breakfast very good. Hotel in a great location for all the places we wanted to see.

There was nothing major just could do with some coat hooks in the bedrooms as no where to hang a wet coat. Would also be nice to have a lounge to sit in to have coffee if you didn't want to sit in the bar.

1) the breakfast offering could be improved by offering fruit salad, natural yogurt and muesli

Staff were so helpful Especially Zoe on reception went over and above to help. The lady who served breakfast sorry I didn't get her name was very helpful and friendly. We had a large family meal booked on the Thursday night which everyone enjoyed. The food came out roasting well done to all kitchen staff and waiting staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
