Smooth running of hotel, very clean, pleasant staff. The beds were comfortable. Particularly liked the decent branded tea, coffee,(room) heinz sauces, kellogs etc(breakfast) . Very generous amount of tea/coffee etc in the room, although there are never enough milk cartons for me, so I take in my own. Decent toiletries, hairdryer provided. Easy access & decent lift. Breakfast fresh.

The room was not the one I picked on line. Although very clean, it needs redecorating, esp the bathroom, & there were no pictures on the walls, making it seem a little like a hostel room than hotel. This was exacerbated by the view over the rear of the hotel, whereas I had picked a front view room, with bright decorated bed covers. Would have liked fruit /continental option with breakfast.

The breakfast was lovely. Location was perfect. Restaurant excellent food.

Room run down and shabby. (Stains on carpets etc) Windows impossible to open and close. Poor insulation (you could hear everything from room next door)

Excited we managed get in, as always sold out, loved how close to prom it was, as we always go as close as possible, we loved the sea view, Breakfast was great, It was self serve but I am happy with that and good choice, cereals toast & fully cooked, tea/coffee, juice all available, Set up with all Xmas Dec's now, and looks great, Breakfast room is really big plenty room, Lift which is always helpful, Bed very comfy, and lovely crisp white bedspread set, and Towels were lovely white & soft. Have 2 things 1, they have been decorating, and smell in our room was still there although my husband has no sense smell so he couldn't smell anything,but room looked lovely, 2nd Shower mat could do renewing or good scrub, as rather black underneath, apart from that really couldn't say anything else.

Room was nicely sized, bathroom was also a good size. Lift to second floor was helpful. Reception were very quick and professional. Very useful to be able to have two cards for the room so my partner and I could come and go as we pleased. View over the bay was terrific, and the hotel has a nice location, handy for town, the great Orne, and of course the seafront, but also only a 15 minute walk from the wilder and more scenic (and also sandy) West shore beach. Nice to have Glamorgan sausages (traditional Welsh vegetarian sausages) for breakfast and the little jars of honey. Coffee (downstairs) is from a bean grinding machine so tastes good.

Breakfast was a little bit processed, would be nice to see some fruit, if only as a bowl of fruit salad. Naughty guests take honey away in large quantities, perhaps have a dispenser for honey and get some fruit on offer too, tinned would be fine. Yoghurt would be nice. Others have mentioned paper cups, this wasn't a major issue at all, there are real cups at breakfast. Water temperature for shower was a little erratic, so bath recommended instead. The mattress, or the room, or something seemed to be a little uneven/wonky, not unusual for an old building but we had to work out how to sleep with our heads above our feet, turning the mattress and sleeping opposite to the usual way seemed to solve this. An extra toilet roll or two in the bathroom would be good.

Breakfast was fab, staff were wonderful & the Manger was phenomenal. The valve on my radiator broke at bedtime on a Saturday night. He came up immediately with a few tools and fixed it. I felt at home the minute I walked in to this hotel. The views are stunning too. It even has a lift to all floors. Oh & when I booked it said available from 3 pm, but when I dropped my case off at 12.30 pm it was all ready for me.

I wouldn’t order the steak again, as it was tough and chewy, but the onion rings, mushrooms & chips were lovely. There’s a really bad big horrid stain on the carpet in 114, just throw a rug over it temporarily until it can be replaced or cleaned. It would make such a difference.

It's a little thing really, but some of the doors slam shut in halls and rooms, if people are returning to their rooms late or early hours this can continually wake you up resulting in very little sleep
