We enjoyed the spa facilities and I thought the location served out purposes well.

The property could use some TLC. It is an older hotel and it’s age is showing.

A stunning historical property with excellent spa facilities and very comfortable traditionally furnished rooms. We stayed here for a week to explore Anglesey on the Coastal Path and its location in the centre of the island worked very well for us, and for others who appreciate a peaceful rural location. The staff were very friendly and I was very pleased to find that they also have EV charging facilities on site (not rapid, but fine for overnight guests).

The hotel is just about fully renovated after closing down during the COVID pandemic and should be getting even better as they reopen all areas of the main house. We look forward to returning.

The staff are wonderful, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food in the clock tower restaurant was so tasty. The evening menu is mainly Indian food but lovely. Breakfast, the menu is limited, but whatever you ask for is accommodated. Ali is great.

The main building is closed, which is not stated on booking.com. Everyone is located in the spa side of the hotel, which is lovely, but we booked based on the description and pictures advertised, and we didn't get the experience we expected. I also think it is overpriced based on this. There were flies in the corridor outside our room, alot of flies. Not in the rooms, though, and it could have been because the windows were open, as the hotel is clean. The rooms could do with being updated, but that may be the next task after the main house. Having said this, if the main building is reopened, we would stay here again as the location is gorgeous

The staff couldn't do enough for you. Upon arriving the receptionist went through everything with us and took us to the room. They had upgraded us to a 4 poster bed due to celebrating my fiance birthday. The room was beautiful, clean, large and very comfy. The facilities were fantastic. We spent our evening in the billiard room playing snooker or in the bar with the very welcoming staff. The spa facilities were good although could do with a bit of a revamp. The gym had all the basic equipment needed for a workout. The food was lovely and fresh and the bacon at breakfast was like a gammon steak it was so thick! Amazing stay from start to finish.

Nothing. Fantastic stay from start to finish.

The staff were brilliant. Super friendly and super helpful. One of the spa ladies brought me some slippers to my room and showed me where everything was. Despite not having a cocktail menu, I had a delicious cosmo. Food was amazing. Room was lovely and bed was comfy. The spa itself is nice. Pool temperature is just right. Thermal salt inhalation room was fab. Sauna and little jacuzzi was good too. Nice way to either stary or end your day.

The hotel rooms do need sprucing up a bit but the new owners have only been there for a few months so it'll take time. The clock wherever it is that bongs from 7am to 11pm. The number of the hour and then one every half hour. Didn't disturb my partner but woke me up in the morning although I did get in the spa early.

This was a lovely, private, independent (?) hotel in a beautiful location - a lovely stone building which seems to have been added to a Manor House (the Manor House isn’t part of the hotel i.e. it isn’t open to guests), set in its own grounds with beautiful gardens), it is also centrally located on the island so everywhere is very accessible. We had a double room which was elegantly decorated, overlooking a lovely courtyard which was very peaceful; toiletries, robes , tea, coffee etc provided as you would expect. The pool, sauna, steam room were immaculately clean as was the hotel. I didn’t think to take a swimsuit so purchased one and wasn’t stung on the price at £20 (and a lovely fit ladies!). Thankfully not a buffet breakfast, but a choice of full breakfast, smoked salmon & eggs and a vegan option; juices, obv. Tea & coffee, cereals, fruit, endless toast and also pastries - what more do you need? The restaurant bar area isn’t large but is ideal for the hotel with chesterfield seating, and a nice seating ‘nook’ all looking out onto another courtyard and a lovely setting to enjoy a nice glass/bottle of wine - which again, was reasonably priced unlike a lot of hotels where you get stung with the bar prices and a decent wine list -if that wasn’t enough, the real USP if this place is the staff - so friendly, knowledgable, so helpful and yet not intrusive and nothing was too much trouble - a really lovely break and I would recommend this hotel without hesitation - we couldn’t fault it and will be going back when we visit the island again .

From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. We checked in and were shown to our room which was spotless. The only negative thing I could pick on was the size of the tv. There was really good WiFi. Then after dropping our stuff in our room went straight to the bar to book a table for a meal that evening. Ali (Ali bar) at the bar couldn’t have been more accommodating. Went back to our rooms, drank our drinks and unpacked and went straight down to the spa. The spa was really clean and yet again the staff (Ali Spa) couldn’t do enough. Robes and towels were clean and fluffy. Spent a good couple of hours in between the sauna, jacuzzi and pool. Went and got changed and then headed to the restaurant which at the moment is in a temporary space within the bar as the hotel is undergoing massive refurbishment after recently changing owners. Had an amazing curry. It’s a very limited menu at the moment but the food we had was outstanding. After eating we went for a wander through the hotel grounds and saw a hare and a red squirrel. Back to the room for a really good nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was an absolute triumph. A selection of fruit, yoghurts and pastries. Really good quality bacon and sausage in the cooked breakfast. Went out for the day and then went back to the spa. Another really good nights sleep and another amazing breakfast.

Couldn’t find any fault.

I stayed here July 2023 for two nights. The staff are fantastic and so friendly, enthusiastic and professional. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The food - evening meal and breakfast where both very delicious and there is a good choice. The spa is so relaxing. After a swim and steam I used the crushed ice and themed shower. It was great to just relax and lay around the pool with a beverage. The wooded grounds are very enchanting for an early morning or late evening stroll. I was so relaxed staying here that I didn’t want to go home. Excellent location to travel around Anglesey. The owner and his sons are visible and hard working like the rest of the staff. You will not be disappointed 😃🤗🤗🤗

Staff were brilliant Hotel, although in the process of refurbishment, will be 5*. Location was perfect Food was of highest order (although kitchen ran out of penang veg curry, most sad). Please expand on Asian cuisine. New owners friendly, driven and welcoming

Little niggling things like thermal shower not working; spa not opening at 7.00 before b/fast; more informative about a particularly interesting historical Hall. On the whole and considering new owners have just taken over and there is a lot of refurbishment taking place, we would return tomorrow.

The location is nice and it was very quiet. The atmosphere was relaxed. The rooms were clean and tidy.

Hot water out of the cold tap, the pipes obviously sit along side each other so the hot heats the cold. Bathroom lights on PIR's so they come on even when you don't want them too, i.e. in the middle of the night. Given the lack of mobile signal leaving a mobile number to contact someone out off desk hours isn't very useful, maybe a simple handset on the reception desk that dials the relevant number when you lift the handset would be more appropriate.
