The Victoria is in a great location, very tastefully decorated & all round fab hotel ❤️ We stayed in room 18 - top floor with a small balcony overlooking the bay - top of the stairs The outdoor seating area would be great in the summer Staff - friendly, chatty & helpful - big shout out to Charlene working in the restaurant Short drive to Beaumaris for coffee & cake Lots of independent cafes within a short walking distance - the one near the crossroads did gorgeous homemade pizza

Food was excellent, service was excellent, view was beautiful. Breakfast excellent. Served hot giving us time to have cereals etc first. Staff very attentive. Evening meal which we bought as an extra was lovely and good choice. Really friendly hotel all modernised nothing was too much trouble. All staff very helpful. Dinning area was in a lovely setting with views over the Menai Straight. Would recommend this hotel.

First given a small room but as the bathroom radiator wasn’t working we were given a bigger and much better room. I wouldn’t recommend the original room as very small and no seating area and on the second floor a lot of stairs to climb as there’s no lift. The room we were moved to was on the first floor and easier to access. Disappointed that the towels and bedding weren’t changed during a three night stay and after the first night although the bin was emptied the room wasn’t cleaned nor the bed made. This was minor and didn’t spoil our enjoyment of our stay.

Lovely cosy atmosphere in the pub, evening meal and the breakfast was very nice and well presented. The bedrooms were lovely and quiet with the doors closing without making a noise. The bed was large and comfy. The bathroom was tiny but adequate and very clean. My mum and I had a little juliet balcony overlooking the menai straight and we had the door open over night and it was very peaceful. The staff were so helpful making us feel very welcome. Breakfast was served in the conservatory with the sun was shining. we chose to have breakfast in the pub area so as our labrador could sit with us.

Great staff. Beautifully decorated throughout. Really welcoming and a fantastic beer garden with a view to die for. Evening meal was really good. Lots to choose from and cooked very well. Great service and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also great but slightly smaller portions than expected. The proximity and view of the Menai straits was ideal.

The room was premium price presumably because of the view but spoiled by a TV aerial and two kitchen exhaust chimneys. I felt like I was wearing the shower cubicle which was far too small and the room could not be described as lavish and no air conditioning. There was also a barking dog in the next room during the early evening that was clearly left by its owners while they were out and about. I did mention this to the staff and they were happy to find the owners but I did not force the issue as all was quiet later on.

The staff working in the hotel and the bar/restaurant were very friendly & helpful. The room (17) had all the things we needed - comfortable king bed; good shower; kettle with drinks (including 2 hot chocs & 2 packs of biscuits); good sized TV with ability to use your own phone to mirror image. We got a parking slot - NB the restaurant is clearly v popular on a Sunday afternoon so the car park is rammed at this time. The view from the bedroom window over the Menai Straits was great. We had a quiet Sunday night. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice.

No moans but a few observations. We were disappointed to miss out on the Sunday roasts in the evening as all sold by then but that's life at times - get in there early! The hotel does warn guests about parking being a lottery (but other car parks not too far away) & no lifts so go with that in mind. The bathroom in our room was, shall we say, bijoux, ie small - perfectly functional & fine for us & I am sure for most folk but if you are XXL or like to luxuriate then you may want to check what the ensuite will be like in your room.

Fantastic view of the menai straights from the room. Lovely food, fantastic friendly staff. We live locally and just wanted a night away to celebrate our anniversary and escape the madness of Christmas. The Vic was perfect for this, close enough so no stress travelling, lovely atmosphere when we arrived. Perfect all around.

The only negative (small negative) was that there was a window cleaner on the roof and outside our balcony at 8am cleaning windows. Was not expecting this and it was a bit of a shock - particularly as we could have beenundredressed or partly undressed at that time of the morning. Would suggest that window cleaning is done later in the day after 11am check out to avoid disturbing guests and impacting on their privacy.

We were in an accessible room (rm 1 - ground floor), which was very good in most ways and would I think have been suitable for a wheelchair user. My only criticism would be there is no shelf on the bathroom to put your washbag or even a toothbrush and glass. Also, the room seemed to be adjacent to the kitchen, so you can hear the extractor fans switched on early in the morning and the kitchen staff talking. The bed, bed linen and pillows were all of a high standard. It was obvious that there had been an extensive refit. There were biscuits to have with coffee or tea. Breakfast service was efficient and friendly. The choice was better than expected. Between us we tried the full English, avocado and eggs benedict all of which were cooked well and were a tasty start to the day. Free on site parking a bonus. Public car park also very nearby. Within very easy walking distance of all the main pubs and restaurants in menai.

Ideally located with stunning views. Super room, breakfasts great and nice atmosphere in bar area. Staff very friendly, accommodating and competent. Been visiting this area for over 20 years and although have visited The Vic, never stayed, but will be doing so again and would like to dine with you too (we weren't able to this time due to commitments with friends). Good value too.

One very very minor comment, a museil or Alpen cereal option would have been welcome at breakfast, but this is by no means a criticism, just a personal preference comment

Very clean, staff were exceptional and the property was great position in the town The bar was great and food was excellent.

Cleaning the rooms daily to me is making the bed, changing the milk caddy and making sure the bathroom is cleaned toilets changed if required and lastly plenty of toilet room. On requesting a clean no toilet roll no bed made and no milk caddy changed. However when I went to reception they sorted toilet roll and milk caddy for me straight away.

The room was nice with a very comfortable king size bed. We had an evening meal, which was very good, the Bakewell tart with custard was the best we had ever tasted, better even than from Bakewell itself! We also had a nice breakfast. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant area was really nice.

The kitchen was on the other side of the bedroom wall, so earplugs were necessary to help block out the noise and loud beeping from kitchen appliances. I had the Veggie breakfast option, I would have liked more mushrooms (only one small one on the plate!).
