The rooms were clean comfortable and decorated nicely. Coffee machine and tea. Fridge contained OJ, water and some fruit, also milk for drinks the morning breakfast so be sure to save some unless you want to go down to a very busy pub restaurant and ask for more. Continental breakfast arrived in a picnic hamper outside my room and I had no complaints with that at all. Croissants and a good choice of cereal.

Road was noisy in the morning and a little in the evening with people sitting outside drinking.

Stayed many times at Fox and Grapes over the years. Lovely, peaceful location on the edge of Wimbledon Common. Inviting bar and dining area. Food has improved to very good since I last visited and 20% reduction for residents.

Nothing, really. Preferred it when there was a cooked breakfast years ago but no real issue and appreciate the need to contain costs. This is no issue for me either, but some residents may find the door left open to a murky cupboard/storage room by the stairs unsightly.

A very nicely furnished and air conditioned room with a comfy bed and a well equipped bathroom. A coffee machine with pods and a full selection of teas, plus free mineral water and OJ are all provided, along with a generous breakfast basket left outside the room. Staff were super nice when I checked in. Not much noise from the pub below, very low level and non intrusive.

The tight check out time (10.00-11.00 window) would put some off, and the morning staff gave me the impression they were waiting for me to leave (I left at 10.15). Check out was weird, a random member of staff just grabbed my key in the corridor and I found my own way out the fire exit! It would be helpful to leave written instructions that make it clear that it's OK to come and go via the side door when the pub is shut - I was scared of getting locked out, though it was fine in the end!

Breakfast is prepared the night before in a basket and left at the foot of the door. Very cool concept. Rooms were clean and the staff very pleasant. There are food discounts for people who stay and go downstairs to enjoy the pub. The milk for the morning coffee was a bit off, but the kitchen staff sorted it instantly. All good.

Getting to the place without a car is not as convenient as I had thought it would be. If you are driving it's fine as the roads are wide and I believe I saw parking available. For those who are walking with luggage be prepared for a bit of a small trek from public transportation.

We stayed for three days during the King’s Coronation. We were attending a friend’s birthday party. This is a homely, and very popular pub that has rooms above, and serves good quality food and wine at reasonable prices. The pub is on the edge of the common and is a short walking distance from Wimbledon Village , where there are other eateries and pubs. There was a very good foodie market on the Sunday. We walked to Wimbledon Tennis Club.(it’s on the opposite side of the village to where the Fox and Grapes is located). The check in was quick and painless. All the staff are pleasant and efficient. The manager goes out of his way to be helpful and make you feel at home. The rooms are above the bar/restaurant. Our room was compact, but we had everything we needed and the shower was hot and the bed comfortable. Each evening we had a breakfast hamper with cereals, jam and croissants left outside the door. A small fridge with water , fruit juices, yogurts and water is replenished inside the room. The Sunday lunch was very good. We would definitely stay there again. Really enjoyed it.

No arm chair, but impossible to fit one in the room

It was just what we needed for one night. Quiet, comfortable, clean. Nicely appointed. Easy walk to the high street. A sweet breakfast basket with croissants, jams and cereals was left for us outside out door while we were out, and milk, yogurt and fruit was left in the mini fridge. That was a super nice touch. We didn't get a chance to dine or drink in the pub/restaurant, but it had a wonderful vibe as we walked through and we wished we could have at least had a pint there. Lots of locals and their dogs were socializing.

Two things could have been improved. 1) The pillows were just so-so. 2) The housekeeper was waiting at the door (in a very small hallway) as we exited (about 10 minutes before checkout time) and was quite gruff.

We unfortunately arrived 2 hours early, but the staff were very accomodating and went above and beyond to let us check in early and collapse!

The location was very scenic, right next to a big park in a very quiet area, but this did mean you had to walk quite some distance to get to the nearest bus stop. If you are driving, this won't be a problem.

Greeted with the smell of Sunday roast, had travelled from Dorset so had not really eaten, was shown to a gorgeous room, coffee machine, fridge with milk, yogurts fruit, bottles of water and orange juice, plus in the morning there is a basket of cereals, miniature croissants with jams and honey brought outside of my room, dinner was roast pork and veg, gravy and apple sauce, I am sorry Mum, but this was the most tenderest pork and best roast dinner of my life! The glass of Malbec wine I had was gorgeous and so was the brandy on the rocks I took to bed with me, thoroughly recommend here, what charming hosts and locals. 🦋

The Staff throughout the venue went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The room was a reasonable size and also very clean. Room cleaned and towels etc changed daily.

Breakfast in a Hamper left outside the room the night previous. Then having to eat breakfast perched on a cot type bed.(the mattress was inside a protruding wooden frame) The room was crying out for something to sit on .... perhaps a chair?

Nice meal in the restaurant downstairs, not far to stagger up to bed. Friendly staff.

Parking on road, restricted between 2.30-5.30 in some places, max stay in others. Okay for us as we arrived late evening, but tricky if you arrive earlier. Maybe they could consider temp. permit? When we stayed in Harrogate they had " disc parking". Issue with no hot water in bathroom, but this was rectified by the morning.
