October 2022

Im truly surprised to see some not so great reviews about Gardenview hotel here. I stayed here first in 2018 and loved it, and decided to stay this time again because of the pleasant past experience. The location is absolutely amazing and the hotel staff are superbly wonderful, polite and accommodating. The staff held all our packages/deliveries prior to our arrival which was soo very helpful as we needed to order a few things and delivery could only be managed on pre-arrival dates. My friend and i stayed on the main floor and honestly it was the best room. So convenient, no need for stairs or elevator and just few steps away from reception. It was comfortable and quiet. The washroom was a little small but thats how majority of Europe is and specially central london. For us, cleanliness matrers more than the size. Everything worked perfectly fine in our room and we had no issues whatsoever. We had housekeeping staff clean the room twice in our 5 days stay and if you wanted it cleaned everyday you just had to request. I would 100% stay at Gardenview again in my next visit. Thank you Elena, Christine and rest of staff members for making our stay so wonderful. Cant wait to visit again.

Cant think of anything.

excellent location, right on the Piccadilly line that connects London with Heathrow airport. about 20m metro ride from St Pancras train station. also, they were very generous with the amount of Nescafé available in the room, which came in very handy when I wanted to do work during the night.

the sigle room was so small that I could barely fit, esp in the bathroom. There is no elevator and no air condition.

I love the location where Garden View is located, it's a quiet neighbourhood which allows us to rest well at night (with added bonus of the awesome bed). The staff responds well to our questions. There was cleaning during the day. And more importantly the elevator works! It was small but allow ppl with huge luggage an easy way to the upper level room. There was a locker/bag room in case you want to explore a bit more of the city before leaving. The room also has electric kettle, coffee and tea.

The room was a bit small, but I already expect that. The room still allows me to open my luggage which is great.

Reception staff very friendly on arrival despite a difficult customer in front of me at the desk. Excellent location very close to Earls Court and the District/Piccaddily lines for onward travel. Despite being one of the hottest days of the year, room was cool enough to sleep in. Heavy curtains had been drawn to keep out sun but windows left open for the breeze and the room was equipped with a fan if I didn't want to sleep with open windows. A much cheaper room than most others in the area - an incredibly decent 2*.

Bathroom definitely very small but adequately equipped with towels, toiletries and a hair dryer. A little trouble ensuring the water didn't stray too far under the shower curtain but the shower head could be angled so I didn't flood the bathroom! Breakfast (to take away) offered but would be nice to know ahead what that contains/whether there are options to cater to diets.

The hotel is on a pleasant square with a garden in front and is only a short walk from Earl’s Court station. We had a room in the basement with a window looking up to the street which was an interesting change. The room was a reasonable size with a private bathroom. It was comfortable and the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. London is always going to be expensive so the hotel isn’t cheap but it is reasonably priced for the city and a good alternative to the more expensive hotels nearer the centre.

Our shower wasn't working. I reported this to Anna and the next day we were changed to a different room. Thank you Anna!

The dining room wasn't available so we were given our breakfast at reception to take to our rooms. I am aware that it was a solution to the problem and appreciate it, but it would have been nice to be able to sit at a dining table and have some toasts and coffee before going out to see London. Anyway, this didn't ruin our stay at all.

Close to Earl's Court tube in a beautiful Victorian mansion flat setting we paid a little more for a window to look out onto the square. The room was big with lots of wardrobe space, high ceilings, wood panelling, a very comfortable bed and pillows and warm and cosy to stay in. It's also very quiet. We got a good night's rest.

There was a small issue with the key sensor on our door which made it a little noisy when it was opened and closed as it set an alarm off. In the literature when I had looked at the property (and on the key card holder) it mentioned that Continental breakfast was included. It wasn't, and for the price we paid I think it could have been (it was an additional £5 each). The lift is really small, for just two people with no big bags, but that can't be helped due to the layout of the property. The kettle is too big to fill up in the bathroom sink, and the bin was a slightly incongruous big plastic one. A smaller wicker or metal one would have been a more elegant addition. Could there be an option for UHT soya milks with the tea and coffee?

just around the corner from Earls Court station. We were in the area for a Lost Estate performance and so this location was perfect, 10 min walk over the bridge. We booked a double room but it had 2 double beds and a single bed. Room was clean and tidy. Tea and coffee, tv. Bathroom was shower, but hot and great water pressure. For us it was just what we needed, somewhere to shower and sleep. If you’re looking for luxury you may want somewhere else, but the staff here were all very helpful and polite.

While the room wasn't particularly big, it had plenty of amenities - towels, kettle and tea/coffee, TV, even a hair dryer in the bathroom. The area is close to Earl's Court underground station but is quiet at night. Bed was super comfortable.

I feel like the only real criticism could be that the showers aren't super modern? But even that isn't a huge issue! They're simple to use and whilst a more modern shower would make getting the right temperature a swifter process, it wasn't a massive obstacle!

it certainly lives up the reviews. the hotel area is first class for the price. and lovely staff. no noise which is a real bonus in London. bed was amazingly comfortable and clean and plenty of extras

the shower was ok, but quite a small area to shower and could be modernised. but it was good for the cost. The TV was a bit bad on signal, but in today’s world we rely on internet and connectivity was excellent so you can easily watch things on iPhone or iPad.
