We didn't eat at the Grenfell, though I think we could have. We liked the location and there was plenty of room in the bar and beer garden, good beers too. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were shown the locations of our rooms by the staff. The rooms were clean, airy and bigger than I expected.

Negotiating the car park was a little tricky. Most of the original car park has now been converted to a spacious beer garden. There were only around 6 or 7 spaces and they were all taken when I arrived at 13.30. Luckily there is another car park round the back of the pub, which takes around 8 cars, presumably for the overnight guests. Definitely worth car-sharing, as there are at least 8 rooms ! Some of our party mentioned odd things like electric sockets in their room not working, and a tv remote missing, but no big problems. My only gripe is that I requested a ground floor room for the eldest of our party, who had a real problem with the steep stairs to their room. It seems that we were given 'random' room keys without any reference to requests ?

The pub was just up the road from where we had to be. Easy to park. Lovey outdoor area with heaters for the cooler nights and they also had throws to keep you warm if required. Luke and the Chef were really helpful and polite. Breakfast was really good, Plenty of choice. Room was basic but comfortable for a short stay. Would definitely stay here again

If I want to be picky it is situated on a main road but even with the window open noise was minimal as the rooms are set back behind the pub.

Just got back from 2 night stay . The staff in this hotel are honestly the freindliest I've encountered from the bar staff to the manager . Just made us feel so welcome . One night we had the Thai food ... it was amazing and the prawn toast was yummy . Same with breakfast excellent . I may add my little grandson had an eating disorder and the manager sorted out his food . Now that's service I highly recommend here . 👌

For the price of stay .... nothing . Its a great base

well located, clean, tidy and well presented. The staff were fantastic, from arrival, Shannon was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some good advice. Came back later that evening and we were well looked after by Shannon, Alfie and Caley, they were very helpful and chatted with us all night making us really comfortable and felt so welcomed. absolutely would recommend this place. Breakfast the next morning was also incredible! large portion and very delicious!

the stairs to the room were very steep. no issue for us but would find it difficult if you had mobility issues or bad knees.

Was ideal for work stay as more like a motel with own entrance to room. Yes the upstairs rooms have steep steps but rooms are comfy and en-suite as described. (Suggest you ask for a room on ground floor in special requests if the stairs would bother you) Did not have food even though it looked excellent as am on a very strict budget. Overall very good value for money mid-week in Maidenhead.

Little touches - a room bin and some minor maintenance wouldn't go amiss.

Perfect accomodation for a one-night stayover. Best bits of the room were the amazing shower and lovely soft towels. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was lovely. Fantastic value.

We had room no.3 and the dripping toilet cistern was like water torture so got up 2-3 times in the night to stop it. Cracked light switch is an easy fix, sure that'll be sorted. Overall, great room for the price.

The staff who are super friendly. Comfy bed and a good nights sleep. Local to work so very convenient. Great food. Chicken and bacon sandwiches are lush and the pizzas are superb. Free parking.

The rooms need a little modernising. Tap dripped and I couldn’t completely turn the shower off. They were clean, comfortable and cheap though so little cause for complaint.

The friendly, no fuss welcome and helpful service from everyone encountered. Great choice of breakfasts, well cooked, delicious and satisfying on the 2 days I stayed. Place has a peaceful, happy air in the comings and goings. Bed was comfortable, adequate heating could be turned on in the room. Easy walk into town or to local park and leisure centre with a lovely swimming pool

Already chatted to owner about a small maintenance issue. He was glad of feedback. I suggest the addition of a washable towel shower mat and a few more clothes hangers

Gratefully surprised to find this nice accommodation at the low budget end. The room was impeccably clean in an old infrastructure, (well maintained). The annex pub with beer garden and the people are friendly and helpful. It is definitively a keeper.

It is an old building and the room is basic. The price is accordingly affordable. Nothing to complain about.

This is an expensive area being close to the Thames. This is a great community pub with rooms in a block at the back. Brilliant staff and great beer and food are on offer. Rooms are simple but clean with comfy beds. We stayed once and chose to come back. Enough said.

Nothing to dislike if you like great pubs with simple accommodation.
