The comfort of the room, and most of all the peace and quiet at all times. The beautiful rural location despite being so close to the city centre. The helpfulness of Laura and especially Graeme in answering multiple queries for both us and the other guests present.

Nothing about the actual experience. But the booking system through booking.com generated multiple emails which I found quite stressful, especially one near the date of our trip which appeared to require a precise arrival time - surely an impossibility for anyone coming from some distance - and also asked a question about bed choices which didn't even apply to the room we had booked.

B&B is in a lovely quiet location, about 10 min drive from Thornhill park & ride. Our room was small but perfectly fine for our stay. Room was well decorated and VERY comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities were very generous....they had oat milk!! Breakfast in the clubhouse was superb, a great selection and the food was just delicious. Lots of little villages nearby for pub dinner. We went to The Victoria in Old Marston and it was lovely. Our weather was a little bit rubbish but on sunny days....Oxfordshire/Cotswolds is just lovely. Great location for Oxford. Only stayed 1 night but will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

nothing.

We were put off by the high prices of hotels in Oxford so thought this B&B just outside of the city centre would work nicely for us. We were delighted with Hill Farm. The location was perfect for us, easy drive into Oxford and then also minutes away from The Kilns, C.S. Lewis' home and also his grave at Holy Trinity Church in Headington Quarry which we visited. We loved the presence of horses just outside our door and watching the show jumpers while we had an excellent farm breakfast. Our room was cozy with comfortable bed and also outdoor seating area overlooking a field. Graham was a wonderful host, checking up on us and making us feel very welcome. We can't wait to stay again!

Nothing!

We were off to London Heathrow the following morning from the B&B. The place is located with VERY easy on/off access to the A40. The morning commute went very smoothly, delivering the rental car back to LHR. Plus, there is a petrol services very close to the M40-M25 exchange, which further facilitated the return. The two rooms (in the "cottages) were essentially brand new. There were loads of electrical plugs; the bathroom is large and exceptionally up to date. The furnishings were very nice. There are lots of parking spots and area to turnaround the car. The rooms were very quiet and we could not hear much noise from A40. The recommendation for an evening meal at The Trout was wonderful and easy to get to.

Discounting the price for not having breakfast in the morning would have been nice. The emails from booking.com always seemed to repeat that they wanted us there at 4:30 PM +/- 30 minutes, which is a bit odd.

The property and room was cozy and relaxing. The breakfast were spectacular and the hosts are so friendly and helpful. The location was actually great… It is in the country a bit, but only a $12 taxi ride from Oxford. And the price was spectacular compared to rooms in the city.

We got the standard room, by our own choice. (the room was exactly as it should have been for a standard room). But I wish we had booked a larger room, since we were there for four days.

We requested a quiet room on the ground floor and it was perfect! The room was very tastefully furnished and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed with a shower over the bath, and it was good that the shower height and flow were adjustable. There was a very well stocked tea/coffee tray and a welcome bottle of mineral water. Although we didn't need them there was an iron and ironing board available. We were able to give our breakfast preferences when we checked in, and when we had breakfast the next morning it was delicious - served in the clubhouse overlooking the riding area. Laura was very helpful when we had to advise her that we would be arriving later than planned and explained the checking in procedure very clearly. We really enjoyed our very short stay. Even though it could have been a little challenging finding the farm on such a cold, dark night Laura had emailed detailed directions so we didn't get lost.

I can't think of anything that could have been better!

This was all our English country side B&B dreams come true. For the lovely old building to the smell of fresh cut grass & horses. All this & more only a few minutes from the centre of charming Oxford. There is a bit or traffic noise but it’s a quiet hum & gone by the early evening. We had the best stay in 6 weeks travelling . We regret using Hill Farm as a one night, we should have used it as a base to explore .

Not staying longer !

I loved my 17th century room with its 17th century bed and my parents loved their room - the decor was lovely. The rooms were warm and the bed and pillows worked really well for me so I had a brilliant sleep. Our host Graeme was friendly and very helpful and his warm manner really added to our whole staying experience. Breakfast offered a great choice and was really well cooked. The location was very close to Oxford city centre which was handy and I had no difficulty getting there by following the specific instructions our hosts had sent prior to arrival - even in the dark and not being familiar with the area.

I am being niggly here but the shower spray really didn't project so although it was a lovely sized bath and it had a good screen and I had plenty of room, I did have to stand right up against the tiled wall practically to be able to stand under the shower to wash my hair. Someone much taller than me would have struggled I think. The only other thing to mention was the taxi company let us down but that's no fault of our hosts. The only other thing to mention and wasn't something I disliked but needed to point out but forgot to mention over breakfast is that the kettle didn't automatically shut off so perhaps Graeme or Laura if you are reading this, you might note.

Interesting, quiet, rural location, comfortable, clean room in detached cottage. Very good individually prepared breakfast. Excellent in room tea, coffee, etc, and use of large private lounge. Convenient for Oxford Park and ride but also easy for taxi access to city centre at reasonable price. Good information sheet provided.

Breakfast served in nearby pleasant club house could have been a problem if weather had been bad.

We had a wonderful stay at the farm and Laura made us feel very welcome and at home. The room was lovely and bed very comfortable, we had the four poster bed. The bath was relaxing and hot. Tea making facilities perfect. Laura was most helpful in getting me a reading light. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast had lots of choice, and delicious. Perfect stay thank you and we loved hearing the peacock's x

Everything was lovely highly, recommend this place.
