We were warmly welcomed with the offer of juice or water, and then we were shown to our room - our bag was carried too! The room was extremely spacious. The hosts had thought carefully about the decor and it was clean and well presented. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom was lovely; had a fabulous shower and the underfloor heating was very welcome (January and chilly) so it was amazing to get out of the shower and not feel cold. The breakfast was delicious. I had let them know that I was allergic to dairy and they catered for my needs. My husband had the largest plate of full English so he was a very happy chap! In terms of location, the house is on a busy road, but although we could hear the road in the bathroom, we could not hear it in the bedroom. The bonus about being on this road is that there is a bus stop 2 minutes away and a £2 bus ride into Oxford meant that we could go out and enjoy a drink without having to worry about driving. We would be more than happy to book again if we visit Oxford in the future.

I found the duvet tog a little cold, but a blanket had been provided in the wardrobe so nothing to complain about really.

Clean and mould/dust free rooms, great breakfast with incredible eggs! Flat screen TV in room with access to streaming services. Lovely, modern, freshly renovated bathroom.

Not much but think the pillows could do with a refresh. They were either hard and lumpy or just very worn out. The room was a little dated and oddly decorated but it didn’t matter. The air conditioning system didn’t smell good when we turned it on so we had to sleep with the window open which was noisy with the road. But not really a biggie.

I had the opportunity to stay in the suite at Burlington House in Oxford for a work trip. The attention to detail in the decor and furnishings really made it feel like a comfortable home away from home. The suite itself was spacious, and the bed was comfortable - and I had no issues with the WiFi, which was fast enough for me to be able to spend a week working remotely from the room. I was able to get to work meetings in the city centre within 10 minutes (or less) via cab. One of the highlights was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. As most of the other reviewers mention, the breakfast is great. I can't wait to return for a personal trip and have some time to do some sightseeing in Oxford - and I would choose to stay at Burlington House again.

No complaints.

We stayed in one of the smaller courtyard rooms which really suited us for a short stay. The shower was great. Wonderful weather enabled us to use the patio furniture too. The quality breakfast lived up to expectations from previous reviews: homemade bread & the house granola, plus a choice of preference re texture of scrambled egg. Good coffee & cheerful, efficient staff were also appreciated. Nes was particularly helpful when we realised we would arrive later than hoped & his recommendations re places to eat in Summertown. We chose to walk into city centre; Banbury Road has a choice of buses if preferred.

Another time (we didn’t get to see the Ashmolean museum!) we’ll book earlier & get a slightly bigger room.

One of the best value for money Guest Accommodation/B&Bs we've ever booked! Free parking had plenty of spaces, easy to find, and no charge. We booked at short notice but the welcome and instructions to get in were still sent quickly and were very easy to follow (we arrived after reception had closed). The whole place was decorated beautifully, room was modern, clean, had tea & coffee, toiletries, nice towels, etc. We didn't use them but reception had a microwave, fridge, and cutlery, which we thought was a good idea. Breakfast was AMAZING with a lovely cold buffet, and a very tasty cooked breakfast, all included in the price. One of our favourite places and will definitely re-book if/when we come back to Oxford. Thanks.

The breakfast room was full when we came down for breakfast but well worth the 5mins wait and definitely wouldn't stop me staying again.

Room was great and clean, easy to get to and easy parking, a good base for going into Oxford on the bus (which seems to come every two minutes!) or for going out and about to places nearby.

Personal preference rather than a complaint but I hate waterfall showers I much prefer a good pressure jet. And breakfast wasn't my cup of tea, more fresh fruit would have been nice and more options on the menu maybe some pancakes with fruit, I can see why the menu is like it is but if you aren't a big fan of eggs it was a bit limited

5 stars and deservedly so 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Wonderful stay at Burlington House . Welcomed by the charismatic thoughtful NES ; given drinks upon arrival fresh juice/ iced water with recommendations for restaurants and general helpful advice. Shown to our tastefully furnished room . Everything is so beautiful .. Breakfast is a treat : prepared by the lovely Andre. Home-made granola and home-made bread : choice of dishes. We chose the Gruyère omlette. Cooked to perfection Burlington House is ideally situated moments from the amenities of Summertown with easy links to central Oxford This luxury accommodation deservedly has been awarded 5 stars Thank you, Nes, for the outstanding hospitality We will be back

The room and the hotel looked very nice, the bathroom looked amazing, and the staff was wonderful (with a slight preference for the weekend team). The homemade yogurt and granola in the morning were very tasty.

The hotel is a bit far from the center. I found the food on the breakfast menu a bit lacking in taste, it is standard English breakfast but it could be done better, some herbs, spices, etc. or some browning on the mushrooms, bread and tomatoes would have been appreciated.

Not only was the building really beautiful, but our room itself was a really cute small double in the courtyard with an en-suite. It was clean and comfortable, had a powerful shower, a tv and kettle (biscuits and chocolate too), we had lovely soft bedding and pillows (hypoallergenic which was great). The breakfast room was gorgeous too, from the beautiful teapots down to the nice wallpaper on the wall. The decor was really lovely. We’d love to come back to stay in one of the other rooms, as we heard they are all have their own special style.

A wonderful stay at Burlington House, the service was exceptional. I don't know where to start! Thank you for the warm welcome Nes😊 The accomodation was clean, airy, breakfast was freshly made, impressed with the homemade bread, Yoghurt and freshly squeezed juice 😋 EV charging was also made available at very reasonable rate. Location is brilliant, just a short walk from shops and restaurants. Nearby park and ride should you wish to head into the city centre. I'll be returning to Burlington House on future trips to Oxford.
