I have stayed at the Queens Head several times, and have always found Jason and his staff excellent company. having fresh fruit in the room is unusual and very much appreciated. My business requires a quick check-in and early morning departure, so I have yet to sample what I understand is excellent cuisine. I cannot imagine visiting the Oxford area and staying anywhere other than the Queens Head.

It is difficult to think of anything I didn't like. The price, maybe! But you pays for what you gets.......

The accommodation is adjacent to an old pub and located in a nice village outside of Oxford. I stayed for one night, as I had to urgently travel for work. The room was spacious with all the necessary amenities. It's at the back of the pub and pretty quiet. The even provide a small continental breakfast in the room. The staff was very accommodating despite my late arrival.

The shower in the bathroom was either very hot or too cold, I haven't figured out the right settings for it.

I was trying to find a hoterl in Oxford but it was too much expensive as I it was at the last day. The Queens head has provided very affordable price and despite it was for 30-40 min distance from Oxford but very comfortable place to liv . Horspath was very nice village and you will enjoy it.

A bit noisy in the pub at the evening but it was a part of local flavor.

Jason couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. We were so impressed with him. He seemed to really care that we were comfortable and went out of his way to make sure our kids (age 10 & 7) were happy. Our room had a double bed and 2 singles, but one of the singles was on a mezzanine, up a small staircase and the kids loved the novelty of that. Considering our room was right over the pub on a Saturday night, it was surprisingly quiet up there! Dinner in the pub was good: there's a varied Thai menu plus a small English menu (along the lines of everything with chips) and the beer was local and in good condition.

Can't complain about anything, especially for the price.

The hotel provided a bowl with fruit and croissant as they do no provide any meals at breakfast in the hotel. It was clean and the proprietor was very pleasant nevertheless. Evening meal was tasty in the restaurant.

Assumed when booking, that although we hadn't paid for breakfast it was something extra you could pay for on arrival there, so was rather taken aback when I found breakfast wasn't really an option.

The host was very helpful and friendly. Even though it did not list breakfast as included he provided fruit and brioche in the room. The 3 person room upstairs was very nice Our grandson loved having his own space in the loft. Even though it was in the 80s outside the room was comfortable and they had a fan.

The VERY slight smell of the Thai food from the kitchen below us is the only criticism I can think of. It wasn't a problem though.

This is a pub which is very much a centre of the local community. The public bar is a little small for the number of customers they get but nobody seems to mind and I certainly did not. I loved the Thai food we had and was surprised when I received my bill as I was sure it would be more. The landlord and staff could not have been friendlier, I say staff but got the feeling they were family which was lovely to see. Our room felt a little small but that didn't matter as it is just for sleeping in. I did find a he shower difficult to use with the temperature going from scalding to cold in moment. Lastly as we left Jason, the landlord came out to wish us good bye and a safe journey. I will certainly stay here again. Well done all.

The shower. Just a small thing and of no consequence.

We made a mistake on our booking, but Jason and the staff corrected this with no fuss. The hospitality was above and beyond! There Tai chef was not available on our visit. But Jason stepped in and did a great job! If we are working in the area again, we will be back.
