Extremely clean, compact and comfortable. Julie was very helpful. A very convenient place to stay if your main purpose is to be around the Headington campus. Lots of cafes and restaurants in walking distance at the Headington center. We are not breakfast people, so we were happy to be offered a lower rate without breakfast.

If your main purpose is centered around the historic old part of Oxford - then this is some distance away. Buses are convenient to catch, but remember traffic moves very slowly on oxfords 2 lane streets.

Wonderful little guest house with a very warm welcome from Julie upon arrival. I was attending an event at the university and it was perfectly located for this purpose. It was on the direct bus route to Heathrow which is handy for international travellers also. The room was well-appointed, clean and well decorated with a spotless ensuite bathroom with toiletries. The rooms are also equipped with Sky Digital which was handy to watch the golf.

The only downside was that the walls seemed a little thin and there was a lot of noise from next door (nothing excessive but I could hear their TV very clearly). The chair legs on the chair were also quite wobbly. But I am nitpicking there.

Lovely bedrooms, plenty of sockets, storage, tea/ coffee etc. Clean bathroom, very comfy beds and super breakfast (cost £10 ea) with lots of choice. Great host and parking available. Note twin room is on the 3rd floor with steep steps so not ideal for older people or those with mobility issues. On the main road close to Brooks uni and near the bus stop.

Wish we’d known the twin room was on the top floor. Ground floor double room shower temp not adjustable. Other than that, Red Mullions is great!

The property is very well connected with the train station with a few direct buses. There are plenty of supermarkets, takeaways and restaurants in the surrounding. My room and the bathroom were very spacious and had everything I might have needed. The staff was very helpful (had to change the date of the booking and were understanding) and friendly. I found the quality of the room perfect for the price, compared to other guest rooms I have been in Oxford.

Nothing really. If I have to suggest some improvement, I would have preferred a firmer bed.

Very clean, spacious, bright room. It is clear that whoever did up the rooms really put thought into it. From the biscuits for tea to nice toiletries, iron with board, lamps for every bedside, everything is in place. The same goes for the rest of the guesthouse which is very well maintained.

The only thing missing was a few shelves to keep clothes organised so that guests do not have to live out of the suitcase especially in a family room where 3+ guests are expected to stay.

The small double room I had was very clean and homely. The en suite was good and bed was comfy with super pillows and crisp clean sheets. I enjoyed sky tv and had a lovely relaxing evening after visiting at the local hospital all day.

The water pressure was a little low but I didn’t worry really it was warm and plentiful. Some noise from reception but it didn’t really disturb me too much.

The room was large and very spacious, breakfast was delicious with a good choice, and dairy free items were provided for two of our party. Pammy and H were wonderfully friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were in Oxford for our son's wedding and Red Mullions was the perfect choice with a bus stop right outside to access the city. And with parking, which is always a huge bonus in Oxford. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you so much, it was great!

The road's noisy, but the double glazing was effective in keeping it out

Room fine, given a different room on the ground floor which was good. We had to have a buffet breakfast as having to be out before breakfast, that was adequate. We have stayed here before, room much better than the first time we stayed. A very handy guest house for both eating out and for the John Radcliffe hospital, minutes walk away and very grateful we could leave our car in the morning.

Nothing really, bed and pillows a little firm

Good sized room for my party of 3. It was clean with comfy beds, tea and coffee in the room plus free toiletries and important for us it had good free parking and was on the bus route into Oxford, in the centre within 15 mins.

The only thing would have been more towels and bigger ones. The shower was a little noisy too.

Very polite and accommodating staff--we asked if we could leave our car in the car park while in Oxford the next day (we were there for the University Open Day which would end at 4pm) and they said that was fine, as long as they weren't too many vehicles wanting to park the next day (in which case they would call us and ask us to move the car). In the end we decided not to risk it and drove to a park and ride five minutes away. We knew we would be pressed for time the next morning so decided not to stay for breakfast, so I can't comment on the food. The bed was very comfortable, the towels were fluffy and the room was very clean. It was a long walk into town from the hotel, but a pleasant one (a bit uphill on the way back though!).

We hadn't realised the guest house was on such a busy road, in fact a main road leading into Oxford and it was difficult to turn right into the driveway. However, this is a minor point and we enjoyed our stay.
