The room was very comfortable and modern, the bed was really big and comfy. The en suite shower room was modern and clean with lovely white fluffy towels. There is an electric fan to use, a hairdryer, coffee and tea making facilities, bottles and cans of water and fresh milk. Breakfast was excellent, we ate evening meals on both of our nights and there was plenty of choice, we were both happy with the food. The landlord and his staff were very friendly and helpful. We’d certainly recommend this place and would be more than happy to stay again.
There was nothing to dislike about this property.

This is a pub with rooms above but obvious care has been made to ensure you are well catered for. The rooms are reached by an external staircase leading into a foyer which houses a fridge with bottled water and fresh milk. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable. We were staying on our way to Poole to catch a ferry so had an early start but the owner offered to make breakfast sandwiches .Allocated car parking in the car park. A much better option than the equivalent chain hotel competitors.
The room was on the warm side and the external steps may not be to every ones taste

The Rose & Crown exceeded our expectations in every way including value for money. Excellent breakfast in the morning which set us up for the day to the extent that we did not eat again until dinner in the evening. Very good facilities in the bedrooms with real coffee and complimentary bottled water. The real ale in the bar was also kept in excellent condition. We will definitely book here again if we are going to the Poole area.
Mobile data connection is not great which can affect paying taxi by card but there is free WiFi in the property so for personal use the mobile data is not an issue. The mobile data issue is of course not the establishments fault and is due to lack of mast cover I the area.

Great modern rooms with superb powerful shower, always a bug bear of mine in most hotels, but these were great, plenty of refreshments in the room and plenty of extras in the adjoining reception area should you needed to replenish your room, superb cooked breakfast and exactly got what you asked for. Very friendly staff who couldn’t be more helpful,
Nothing to note, didn’t bother us but note all rooms are on the first floor via a external metal staircase, so may be an issue for the less mobile, very well lit at night however and parking allocated for each room which I liked .

In a good location for us, near family, and within easy reach of the coast and many local attractions. It is a winning combination to have a pub with rooms, and this one has added really comfortable rooms with great attention to detail and thoughtful facilities. It is so easy in the evening to pop down to the bar for a drink. We didn’t have dinner in the restaurant, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was excellent. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and all the information (menus, leaflets and signs) was presented professionally and attractively. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

Large clean room with an excellent shower. The breakfast selection was large and catered well for vegetarians. The location was nice and quiet, perfect for a good night's sleep. We were able to request a super king-size bed. Dedicated parking.
Both my husband and I prefer a firmer bed and found the soft, thick mattress a little uncomfortable. We went to a show in the evening, (a Thursday), and were surprised to find the pub shut when we got back at 10pm so were unable to raise the issue with anyone on the premises to see if we could get anything done about it. If there is a firmer mattress option, we would be very happy to book again.

Great location in a peaceful village. Ample parking. Very well maintained property. Very friendly & helpful staff. Very modern & well presented room & bathroom. Nice large shower tray. 10/10 for cleanliness. The owners have put a lot of thought into some very nice little touches like a small refrigerator in the hallway stocked with bottled water and fresh milk. Also extra tea/coffee etc available in the hallway should you need it. A proper Cafatiere with fresh coffee in the room which I have never seen in a B&B before! The evening meals and breakfasts we had were both excellent and very enjoyable (10/10 to both chefs) The food & drinks that we enjoyed were very reasonably priced. The next time I am visiting this area I will definitely be booking a room at the Rose & Crown.
There is literally nothing about this B&B that warrants a complaint.

The accommodation at the Rose and Crown was excellent and could not be faulted. Well-appointed modern rooms with all the right touches; fresh coffee, tea, biscuits and bottled water. Wonderful bathroom and shower and a comfortable bed. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, sampling the fish and chips and home-made Cottage pie with a couple of pints of Butcombe bitter. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming. This is somewhere I would definitely recommend.

Faultless. Beds best I’ve ever slept in, food mostly prepared and cooked to order, pleasant family proprietors, superb modern room, breakfasts great, service excellent. We chose this place because it is also very strategically placed if you’re planning to visit Poole, Swanage, Sandbanks etc – it means you can go in either southerly direction to get to your destination rather than worrying about Poole harbour and the 30 mile detour around it all the time. If you’re hesitating – book it! The style of the menus screams “boil in the bag” but it definitely is not and it is the only modern pub we’ve been to that is any good.
nothing.

The room was large and a comfy bed large wardrobe and good sized drawers for clothes. Large bathroom with very good walk in shower. The breakfast's were tasty and ample in size. The evening meals were nice too. Heather and her staff were lovely. We found it an ideal location for the trips to Swanage, Portland bill, Poole and Bournemouth even though they were half hour or over drives.
Nothing.
